La Maison d'Uzès (Uzès, French Riviera / Provence) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Like the city it calls home, this 17th-century house in the historic center of Uzès is impossibly picturesque, from its elegant façade and its imposing central staircase to its rooms and suites, marrying period atmosphere and contemporary interior design. La Maison d’Uzès contains a mere nine rooms and suites, each one different, as is typical of historical houses — they vary in size and details but all come with modern comforts and unusually high ceilings. Other notable features include a spa with a Roman bath, hammam, and products by Clarins. The restaurant, La Table d’Uzès, has been recognized with one MICHELIN Star." - Tablet Hotels

Room was nice but only handheld shower. Re service, they did not replace the coffee pods and nobody answered the phone when we tried to call for more. Also room was right above where they started taking carts out at 7 a.m.

We recently stayed at this hotel, booking two rooms—one for us and one for our daughter. We were upgraded to a larger room but it lacked a shower, which was inconvenient and not disclosed at booking. Our daughter’s basic room was extremely small, barely suitable for one person. |Cleanliness was a major issue. The smaller room had ants along the walls and floor, and both rooms' floors were poorly swept. My daughter’s room had stained furniture, which was off-putting. When she inquired about changing rooms due to cleanliness, it was implied we’d have to pay for the upgrade, even though a larger room was available during our entire stay. There was no clear manager to address our complaints.|Breakfast was equally disappointing. We arrived at 9:30am, an hour before it ended, to find no food left. After raising concerns, staff said they had reheated croissants for us—reheated croissants are unacceptable at a five-star hotel.|Overall, our stay was far below expectations with serious issues that need addressing, especially for a five-star and Relais & Chateaux hotel.

Really cool building updated to a luxury hotel perfectly located tucked down a side street making it easy to walk all around the lovely town. Staff was top rate, professional, friendly and knowledgable. We had a little trouble find the side street to drive to the front of the hotel, no problem at all, a staff member raced out to meet our car and direct us. Whole team really went above and beyond to make for a great stay. Highly recommend

I don’t know why this place is so highly rated. It is completely rundown and the photographs are nothing like reality. Breakfast is poor and the staff are bored and not really engaging in anyway. There are better hotels in the area. Look elsewhere

A gorgeous boutique hotel set on a quiet street in beautiful Uzès. Our suite was wonderfully decorated and appointed, the staff were attentive and professional, especially offering valet parking, and the food…! A thoroughly memorable stay to celebrate my husband’s “significant” birthday.

I dont know how this hotel get 5* rating. No pool, no restaurant, no gym, nothing to do here. You have to go into the town. Our upgraded(?) Room is 50 steps up and as bland as can be. Service excellent but very poor hotel.

Beautiful hotel in Uzes, our rooms were large and spacious, very comfy linens/bed. We enjoyed a very nice dinner. There is parking just down the street in a public parking lot. Road is closed to access hotel, but if you inform hotel, they will lower the blocks so you can bring luggage directly to the entrance. Would stay again if in the area-travelled in july 2017

Beautiful well appointed hotel. Incredibly comfortable bed, perfect location for cafes and restaurants a few minutes walk away. Absolutely stunning medieval town. Many interesting little shops to explore.
