The property is in a prime location - itself a key landmark and also closer to some of the sightseeing places in Panaji Goa. There are lots of visitors who take photos with the property as a background- which was surprising to us, later learnt that it is part of the properties that is a tourist attraction. When we step of the property, the tourists looks at us in awe, because we stay in it. |Coming to the property, it is a beautiful one, with 8 bedrooms in the first floor with ground floor as a reception and a restaurant space with dining tables and chairs, sofas etc. You will see as depicted in the pictures, nicely maintained. |The first floor has a nice drawing room kind of space before you go to the bedrooms with sofas and a reading space allotted with some nice books kept as well. In case you had forgotten to carry a book, you can use the book there. |The bedroom allotted to us was the corner one, on the right hand side- was a very nicely decorated one with a huge queensize bed and nice storage table with antique furniture, TV table etc. There is a huge window space as well where you can keep your stuff. The bed was very comfortable and cosy.|The washroom was nice and practical, with a separate shower space and the soap kept was the Pears soap(special mention - as it reminded of nice fragrance of the soap). |Since the property is maintained by Taj Vivanta Panaji, it is very nice and breakfast is arranged from there with a car sent by them and dropped back. |The cartakers - Anil and the person in the morning (forgot his name- he is from Karnataka) are very nice and helpful. |The Taj team - who oversee and supervise the housekeeping and the arrangements are exceptional. Will write a separate review of Taj Vivanta Panaji. |The parking is outside the property, closer to the other gate. Because of the crowd of visitors, there is a chance of an issue as i faced, with my car getting a scratch possibly by a unruly crowd person. The Taj team graciously agreed to get my car parked in Taj Vivanta Panaji. |The first floor also has the issue of noise of the tourists dropping in from morning onwards- but that is a relatively smaller issue, compared to the other comforts. |The nearby vegetarian restaurants, particulary GreenR- which offers vegan food were all conveniently located within walking distance. The famous Church is also within walking distance as is the boating and other attractions.

Very beautiful place. Mr Thipanna was very helpful and kind. Rooms are beautiful. The lobby is very cozy and comfortable. Building has good paintings and gives old Portuguese home vibes.

I had an excellent stay at La Maison. It’s a vvv cute boutique hotel in the middle of fontainhaas. It’s a favourite amongst the tourists because at any given point you will always find someone clicking a picture against the backdrop of their outer facade (which makes sense cause it’s a fun colour) The rooms are great. Hot water is hot and abundant (many places have hot water that runs out and that’s very annoying) The A/C made some random noise at night but that didn’t bother me, but it bothered my husband a little. They serve only breakfast which is okay okay, not too great. Coffee is bad. V sweet staff Only thing they could work on - Opening the restaurant up for lunch and dinner (atleast the in-house guests) And they seem little short staffed. Not that it affected the quality of the service but maybe then they could start the meals and the bar. Oh and I just realised - the body wash quality needs to improve immensely! It’s wayyyy too diluted, literally did not lather up.

Stayed for a night to visit the Fontainhas area. Last minute booking and hence had to book this at 7800/- all inclusive. Too high for that hotel. The staff was a silver lining to some extent as Sourab was quite responsive to the needs. But he can't change the hotel facilities nor the rates. For half the price one can get better options in that area. The room was ok but the bed was too soft. Lighting was sober but a table lamp did not work. No balcony . Bath room was small but just ok. The restaurant and bar is still not operative and despite that the huge pricing. Breakfast was limited and not that good. Took my order for dosa but delivered parathas. On the whole very unlike a Taj property. Taj should quickly get out of this hotel deal as it only sullies its brand name. Best Avoided.

This boutique hotel is located right at the heart of the Fontainhas neighborhood, where everyone has either Portuguese ancestry or a story to tell about Portugal. The hotel sits in a lovely colonial house, with only six rooms. The house has been carefully maintained, keeping plenty of details and decorated with taste. We were welcomed by the friendly manager and staff and the check-in was done swiftly. They were very helpful with recommendations, since it was Good Friday, and plenty of businesses were closed. The rooms are huge and clean, with traditional furniture, AC and ceiling fans, and amenities. The breakfast was good: there were two Indian dishes and granola as options for main. We enjoyed their selection of teas and the excellent coffee. Service was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed our time in this hotel. We were given a warm welcome and shown to a really beautiful room. |Bed was big and very comfortable; lovely bathroom too. |The staff were friendly and helpful. |We enjoyed our breakfasts here, which were variable and of good quality. |I personally was a little concerned at the hours worked by some of the staff - we seen the same people morning, noon and night each day of our stay. When we came back to the hotel in the evenings, the same staff let us back in and were there first thing in the morning to serve us breakfast. Please give these guys a break, La Maison...

My family visited Goa last week and during day time Ladies need to use washroom; this hotel refuses them to use the washroom. My family requested a lot but they refused and told that they don’t obey rules and this is Goa and they are above the Law of the land. It’s requested to please look in to it as they are tarnishing the image of Goa being a tourist paradise of India. When Law is saying that you can not refuse to use washrooms.
