La Mangrove

My girl-friend and I stayed at La Mangrove for 4 nights. Beautiful location right by the river, only 4 tipis, very friendly staff. Beautiful Galgibag beach is a mere 2 km away and can be easily reached by bike/scooter. The food at La Mangrove is fabulous, we ended up having dinner there every single night even though there were great options on thre beach (e.g. Santosh). Thibault, the owner, and his wife Maud are very nice. We´can highly recommend La Mangrove and if we were to go back to Goa, we would surely stay there again.

Me and my boyfriend were blown away by this place! It is exactly like the pictures (which is often not the case in india)|The french/dutch couple owning the place was wonderful and so genuine and friendly. They also hade great staff who took excelent care of us. I cant praise La Mangrove enough... we ended up staying there several days in a row to enjoy the amazing food, calm location and the sound of the djungle. Its in the south of Palolem and they helped us to rent scooters so we could get around Goa easily. It took about 30min of easy driving to Patnem. One of the greatest experience of my life was when visiting a spice farm close by. Ask the manager about it and he will help you out.|I will definately be back sooner than later.|JUST GO! (Except if you are looking for party, then this is a bit far from the busy streets and restaurants)

What a fantastic stay here. The owner has created a beautiful haven with attention to detail. Tipis are huge w a comfy Queen sized bed, stone floor, lockable chest, fans and lights. Private open air bathrooms were clean, only complaint was no hot water (he did offer to bring some though) Motorbike and bicycles are available to borrow and explore the quiet neighborhood and turtle beach is a 10 min bike away. Food is also fantastic, try the Indian breakfast. Can't say enough how wonderful this was

Love, love, love this place!! A little area of calm after the hecticness of Patnem. My wife and I were very happy just to chill out on one of the four beds overlooking the river, when we wanted to venture a bit further afield Galgibaga beach was a 12 min cycle on one of the La Mangrove bikes or a 5 mins tuk tuk. The tepee accommodation was great fun and beautifully decked out inside with wonderful outdoor bathrooms and hot showers. The owner's Thibaut & Maude were lovely and exceptionally welcoming and staff (Raj & Surun) were fantastic - can't thank them enough! The food here is excellent and we were very happy to work our way through the menu over our 6 nights stay (Pad Thai, La Mangrove rolls & Momos a particular favourite). Accommodation includes a wonderful choice of 4 different breakfasts (Set, Healthy, La Mangrove & Indian) aswell as juice and tea/coffee. It's hard to pick any negatives in this place but I suppose given the tepees this place isn't recommended for babies or anyone that has mobility problems as the entrance to get in/out is quite low. Also if you're the soft of person that wants busy and buzzing this won't be for you, but for us it was nothing short of perfect :)

A very nice and beautiful place. Neha was amazing, we got help from her about most everything. From what food to choose from the menu to questions about phrases we wanted to learn in Hindi. The owner Thibault was also very kind and welcoming. What the group did not like that much about this place, is that during night time it was a bit noisy. The staff said it was fireworks but the sound was much higher and was sounding more like an explosion or a bomb. We experienced this both our two nights. Some local was walking in the tent area at night time making noise which didn't feel that pleasant when there was no lock on the tents. You could also hear the train from the other side of the river.||||It would be really nice to be able to go on a boat in the river!

Fantastic place to relax, heaven on earth. Warm welcome by a friendly host. They serve nice food with healthy options. The tents are decent and comfortable. At night there can be some noise of animals. It's a bit remote, but you can get a tuktuk for transportation to the beach, etc...

This place is quiet quaint and very quiet, so if you are looking for a place to get away from it all this is the place. They also offer bikes that you can easily ride to the beach, there are about 4 or 5 bikes so get them early! Everything we ate was amazing and I highly recommend the veggie soup and chocolate Momo's!! Staff was very attentive and took great care of us!|We stayed for two days, which was more then enough for us as we like a little more action, but I'm glad we had the experience!!

This place is so so beautiful and tucked in the jungle. It has kind of a minimalist classy feel to it. Lounge beds over looking a lazy river with palm and mangrove trees lining the whole way. The staff is very friendly and sweet. The chai is great and food is very tasty. A great place to eat and then lounge for a while and read a book and use WiFi. My partner surprised me when he took me here and it was one of those dream like surprise places. Must have passes it on the road at least five times, would have never known it was there.
