La Mansion Hostel

We spent 2 nights in the hostel. We had a small double room with a private bathroom, towels, etc. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The WiFi is great. The negative point is the absence of breakfast, even for a coffee while they also own the restaurant under the rooms. The restaurant is kind of expensive for San Gil and doesn’t have vegetarian options (just a pizza margarita). The owner could be a bit more friendly with the guests.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!||||If you are staying in San Gil, I HIGHLY recommend staying at this hostel. Sam, his wife and his staff are great! Rooms are clean, atmosphere is great and location is in the middle of the City square. Sam speaks English very well so there will be no issues if your Spanish is perfect. He is very helpful and the place is great. I stayed here with my girlfriend and we were both very comfortable. The room gets a little hot if you don’t have the fan on, but other than that it is great!

Great hostel! The place is beautiful and has everything you need- an equipped kitchen, hot water in the shower, perfect location and in the evenings they serve really good pizza on the ground floor. The best thing about this hostel is that the staff is exetremly nice and helpful. They gave us great recommendations and helped us with everything we needed. We strongly recommend staying here!

Really nice place with good pizza, good beds and good kitchen. But the best of all is the staff, so helpful, nice, happy to see you and smiling all the time ! Really don't know how they do it but it was a pleasure to be under their care for our trip. Special thanks to the host Sergio who gave us all the best tips to enjoy our stay in the city !

Stayed here for 4 nights and it was amazing! The entire place was super clean, Sam and his wife are the most helpful hostel owners ever, and their pizza was DELICIOUS. They care about the guests and help with everything, from booking buses to giving recommendations. His English is perfect and we had a blast- there is no better place to stay.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Sam and his wife are just incredible. Sam helped us plan our entire stay in San Gil, organized all our tours at no extra cost. He is amazing. The hostel itself is clean, chill and lovely vibes. Would recommend 10/10.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Great hot shower which is not to be taken for granted in this region. Very nice atmosphere. Staff was also helpful and friendly. Where the hostel disappoints is with its extremely hard single bed mattresses (the doubles were fine). Also the location directly on the main street and park made for very loud nights. It's a very good hostel in the day.. sadly, not always to sleep in.
