La Mare Wine Estate

A very informative tour followed by some tasting. Helen was very knowledgable and engaging. We got to meet Roger the resident cockerel and followed the your with a Sunday roast sharing board and their Cider which was yum 😋

We did the premium tour, john was very knowledgeable and witty. Wine was good. The location was wonderful, a beautiful meadow field, vineyard, playground, cornhole for all ages, and great outdoor seating. Restaurant was superb with lovely food with great prices. They offer a happy hour for their bronchage cider 2.50 a pint or 1.25 1/2 pint, which is unbeatable prices. The gift shop was nice and offered some free samples. Recommendations: for the premium tour, the step up from standard and premium didn't feel much different from the standard offering would rather pay an extra bump on the premium tour to make it feel more special like a lunch with wine pairings or afternoon tea. Bar staff needs a little reminder, as we bought lucky last, which should be shaken before opening, which did not happen, so all the sediment was at the bottom, which took away from the wine itself. Other than that lovely place recommend.

We had the most magical day at La Mare wine estate for our wedding! It was the most perfect and beautiful setting for our special day and the staff were incredible during the planning process and the day itself. I would highly recommend to any couples looking to get married!

A very worthwhile visit. Lots of information and set in a beautiful location. We were in a private tour and our guide was called John. He was brilliant, he held his audience, made it amusing and at no point did you lose interest ! The tasting is obviously very enjoyable, and obviously you have the opportunity to purchase goods before you leave. Make the effort to visit, it really is worth it and if you're lucky you may even have John as your guide!!

I had my 50th birthday party at La Mare Karen was amazing, so helpful with the planning which took the stress off me The room was excellent … the staff were so attentive and happy, nothing was too much trouble The food was outstanding The evening went with out any problems, it went so smoothly and was very organised Karen coordinated with my band, DJ and party decorator with timings ect We had the most amazing night and great memories.I can’t thank Karen and La Mare enough

We had the most magical wedding day at La Mare. It was everything we could wish for and more. The team couldn’t do enough for us and our guests and the setting was varied & beautiful. From the flowers in bloom on the lawn, to the Wine Estate House, the vineyards itself and the backdrop over Sark & Guernsey our photographer caught unbelievable memories for life for us. Guests were blown away by the quality of wine & food and my wife & I felt we got fantastic value for money. Thanks again everyone involved ❤️

If visiting Jersey this place is a must, catching the bus is easy enough number 7 or 5 will get you there BUT it does get you a few minutes after the allocated time for tour,(something maybe they could address.) John was giving the tour and he is great, knowledgeable and friendly (cheeky chappy). We booked the afternoon tea with the tour which was beautiful and definitely worth a treat as we all deserve one!! Black butter is also a must and can be bought there or in St Helier they have an outlet.

In Jersey for the weekend. Decided to do the wine tour, we paid for the premium tour. We went on the first tour, there were 3 of us all together. The next tour was rammed, about 25 people. The tour was informative, interesting with tasting of 3 wines and the sparkling cider. Tour guide was very practical and told us about the shop at the airport restaurant buying goods. The apple brandy cream was delicious, as was the fudge and chocolate. We had a nip and mixer included in the premium tour. Nice pink gin and potato vodka. Also got a plate of toasted bread and 3 jar products to taste. You are encouraged to wander the grounds. Cafe on site, which is reasonably priced. Definitely recommend if you like this type of thing.
