Verbier, Switzerland Ski Trip Guide

"Perched at roughly 6,200 feet, this mountaintop restaurant serves traditional Swiss cuisine with breathtaking panoramic views; the terrace is the best place to soak in the scenery away from the village bustle." - Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist and co-founder of Be a Travel Writer, an online course for the next generation of travel journalists. The best view of Verbier and the most delicious food in Verbier. The morel mushroom rotis is absolutely amazing. The deserts are a show stopper. Also, the servers are very charming. We can’t wait to go back!

La Marlénaz is an absolute gem nestled in the mountains! The stunning panoramic views alone are worth the visit, but the dining experience truly elevates it. The food was exceptional, with a menu that combines traditional alpine flavors with a modern twist. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. We particularly appreciated their wine recommendations, which perfectly complemented our meal. The cozy atmosphere, with its rustic yet elegant decor, added to the charm. It’s the perfect spot for a special occasion or simply to treat yourself after a day of exploring. Highly recommend making a reservation, especially during peak times. We’ll definitely be back!

The restaurant is situated in a truly picturesque location. We managed to park right by the restaurant but there you can also take a lovely walk to it too. As we visited in June we were able to sit on the terrace and enjoy the spectacular views. The staff is very attentive, helpful and pleasant too. The food is delicious, all very local and beautiful prepared and presented. It’s a restaurant that we shall be returning to each time we are in Verbier.

Very nice terrace, great food, friendly service. The perfect spot for a sunny lunch break on the slopes. We particularly loved the Röstis, yet there's plenty of other yummy food available. Don't forget to make an early reservation if you're headed there on a primetime slot. By the way, there's a snow cat service offered in the evenings.

I came here once during the summer and wanted to check it out during the winter as the food is fantastic. It’s a bit more of a trek to get during the winter. The bus will only take you so far and then you’ll need to walk another 15min to the restaurant. Alternatively from Verbier village, count about 1h walking. That’s what gives this rather remote restaurant its success in my opinion. We had a croûte au fromage et jambon which was excellent and super yummy, a typical specialty from the region. We also had a rösti aux morilles as we remembered it from 4 years ago as being amazing. The recipe changed a little but it was still delicious. Also a Swiss specialty if you ask me. Pricing is … Swiss so of course everything seems expensive. Come here if you enjoy being rewarded with some nice food after your walk!
