The only word to describe this hotel is spectacular. From the moment we checked in and for our entire stay the hotel staff were amazing. The reception team gave us such a warm welcome and that set the tone for the whole experience. The hotel should be very proud of their staff. I have already mentioned reception but the waiting on team lead by Genarro, the bar staff, the cleaning staff, the lovely shuttle driver, Antonio, and the lifeguard by the pool all offered exceptional service.|We had a beautiful view from our room. A sea view off to the left slightly and directly ahead Mount Vesuvius. The room was very comfortable and lacked nothing.|We didn’t have a car and the hotel is a little way out of town but the hotel offers a shuttle service, which for the main part is free and ten euros out of hours. If the shuttle is not available then the hotel orders a taxi for you at the special rate of 20 euros.|Breakfast was good, especially their own freshly squeezed orange juice and we enjoyed dinner and lunch in the restaurant a few times. |The hotel grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, as is the rest of the hotel. I am often dubious when I view hotel photographs online but the photographs of La Medusa show exactly how it is and as I said it is spectacular and spotless.|I have travelled all over the world as former air crew and stayed in some of the best hotels and La Medusa is certainly up there with the best.

This hotel’s views and surrounding garden were breathtaking. The hotel is like a tranquil retreat in the middle of a bustling town. The terraces and the gardens and the pathways through the gardens are divine. The flowers are brilliant and the trees are exotic. The lemons are massive!! ||The room was cozy and small. There’s no eating in the rooms so be sure to ensure the food (or your leftovers) in one of the many downstairs or garden lounge spaces (there are so many!!).

This hotel and the grounds are gorgeous! The staff was attentive and helpful. It would be nice if you could walk to more places nearby (meaning if it were closer to the city centre) but they do have a shuttle for a small price. Very beautiful place and would stay there again if I were to travel back to that area.

Incredible property. Nearly everything is 10/10. The only challenge you may experience is the location can be difficult/expensive to access if you don't have a car. There is a property shuttle that runs a couple of times a day but it's not quite enough to make the stay seamless. Despite that our stay was incredible. The staff in particular is the best experience I've had with any hotel staff I have ever had.

The hotel and amenities were beautiful and amazing. The room was nice, the view was spectacular, and it was a small dose of paradise. My wife and I stayed here for a 20th anniversary trip and I would highly recommend staying here. The pool was great, the wellness spa experience was 2nd to none I’ve ever experienced. The staff was awesome. 5 out of 5 stars for sure!

We docked one star for the following reasons:||-The pool hours. Knowing the hotel was a bit far from the attractions to visit in the area, we were drawn to this hotel largely because of the pool. We figured that after long days of sightseeing in the oppressive July heat, we could lounge in the pool and watch the sunset. Sadly, the pool closes at 6:30pm… over two hours before sunset. Because of this, we used the pool very little, and we absolutely needed it after those long days. ||-The location. As mentioned, the hotel is far from everything. You wind up losing a lot of valuable vacation time getting to/from everything. The hotel shuttle to the center of Castellammare di Stabia is only free of charge at sporadic times, and the last free shuttle is one hour before the pool closes. ||We still felt the hotel deserved four stars for the following reasons:||- It is a charming old building that is generally well maintained. ||-The grounds are beautiful, as is the view of Mount Vesuvius. ||- The staff is extremely courteous and attentive. ||-The rooftop breakfast buffet is among the best we have ever experienced. ||-The spa.

The hotel is beautiful and peaceful. Front desk services were awesome and we enjoyed the spa and pool. We had a bit of trouble getting a cup of coffee for my husband at breakfast and three people were asked for it, never to be brought for him. Other than the service at breakfast, everything was very enjoyable. Also, the body wash was empty so perhaps that should have been checked.

Randomly booked this hotel last minute off Expedia based on the reviews. Immediately received a call from the hotel asking questions to confirm preferences. From start to finish we had a great time. Friendly staff, great views, garden/ pool in the back especially in the evening were truly special. Restaurant was a lovely experience as well. Special shoutout to Anna, Sara, and Gennaro for going above and beyond. A wonderful stay

Exceptional is an understatement! The staff is welcoming and helpful. Attentive and caring for your every need. The moment you enter the gate expect a more than beautiful scenery. The fruit forest setting is gorgeous! The spa is phenomenal and relaxing. The essential oils smell of local fresh citrus! Every view of the hotel is magnificent. Clean refreshing contemporary yet historical . The details are impeccable. The restaurant was completely to ourselves and they treated us well , especially Vin. The food was everything we could ask for. They made my pre birthday trip memorable and enjoyable! I would stay here 10 times over! 10 stars !

Outstanding service. Everyone here makes you feel like you're a celebrity. Always friendly and helpful. Concierge was always attentive to give us travel and visit tips. Dining room is stunning. Loved having Aperol spritz here. Breakfast is top notch too.

Beautiful hotel! At the front desk, Achille and Antonio were awesome! They were always willing to go the extra mile for us. And Vincenzo was by far the most attentive server at breakfast each morning on the beautiful penthouse rooftop and lanai dining overlooking a giant orange grove, Mount Vesuvius, the ocean, and Naples every morning and did an amazing job, always smiling and going above and beyond. The jets in the pool were incredible and some of the best on the entire planet. The filet steak at the restaurant in the garden was absolutely phenomenal and cooked to perfection. Food, service and ambience were A+. We really look forward to coming back here and staying again in the future.

I loved the Hotel Medusa... the food, the rooms, the staff, the ambiance was absolutely perfect! I really can't wait to go back! Oh! And the spa is amazing!

At first this was a good experience, but when arriving at the room it was soooo cold. We informera the straff and they said they were gonna fix it. We sent back after dinner only to realize it was even colder. After a while a staff member came to try and fix it, but failed to do so. We through the night freezing. We visited the front desk the next morning but they were very unpolite and didn't understand our issue. Very unfortonate for such a otherwise lovely hotel. Too bad the service wasn't so lovely...
