A gem of a hotel!! La Medusa went beyond our expectations by way of service …it felt like royal treatment. The staff were very accommodating from the very beginning, scheduling a last minute massage, lining up scooter rentals on the spot, even making us fried eggs when we were late to the breakfast buffet -thanks to their lovely maître d’! When we arrived, we received welcome drinks, and a proper tour of our fabulous rooms for both nights. (We stayed 1 night, stayed a night in Positano, and then stayed another night at La Medusa before our flight departure.) Both nights, both rooms were beyond beautiful. The decor, cleanliness and comfort were superb, and it’s the only hotel (in our 7 nights in Italy) where I received a proper shower with great water pressure! My husband had a massage and loved it! Btw, the little black cover the masseuse gave him isn’t a face mask, it’s a banana hammock lol …she had to tell him that when she walked in 🙊😄 …thank you everyone at La Medusa. We will be back!!

We absolutely loved our stay. The staff are outstanding, especially the maître d’hôtel, warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. The location is ideal if you have a car, calm and outside the heavy tourist zones, yet incredibly practical for day trips: about 15 minutes to Pompeii, around 30 minutes to Naples, and under an hour to Positano or Amalfi. You still get a full resort feeling when you return.||The gardens are extraordinary, the greenest and most beautifully kept we have seen, and they make every walk to the pool or terrace feel special. Our room was elegant and spotless, with real attention to detail and high-quality finishes, everything felt premium. Dinner service was excellent, with thoughtful check-ins and great dessert recommendations. Parking on site was easy, and getting in and out for day trips was simple.||We would come back in a heartbeat and will recommend La Medusa to friends. If you value gracious service, serene grounds, and a practical base to explore the region, this is the place.

Stayed at the hotel to attend a wedding on 31st August 2025. The hotel is located about 39 minutes by car from Napoli airport the hotel is pure charm. from the moment you enter the grounds, to the checkin at reception, to the room, and the outside b ar and restaurant. its so well kept. the Hotel is part of SLH. So it was always going to be an amazing property and the pictures and hype all lived up to expectations. the real charm is in the warm service from the team and super well designed gardens towards the rear of the property. I was lucky the weather was perfect for the duration of my stay. The team catered so well for the wedding. Pictures I have shared don't do the service or team any justice - so you have to visit the hotel. Breakfast is located on the 4th floor and commands the best views of the sea and famous Vesuvius volcano. Hospitality is first class, the room was super comfortable and amenities associated with a 5 star hotel. (oddly the hotel is classed as 4 star) Amazing hotel, great memories and first class service from the following team make this THE place to stay of you want peace and time to relax......or want to get married ! thanks to Anna, Akila, Angela, Fabio, Genarro, Antonio, Gianluca, Marianno, Milena, and Nuncia. Amazing service and the hotel comes highly recommended.

I booked a suite with a balcony & sea view, our room had a balcony but the sea view was visible because of the roof from the floor below. The taxi ride from the airport was $135 one way. We were told by the hotel staff, that many times the taxi drivers charged guest up to $185 one way. This meant that if we wanted to go sight seeing, out transportation could be $360/day. At dinner that night, I ordered pasta and Lobster. The lobster was tough and hard to cut with a knife. I asked for another lobster not overcooked. When my plate returned, the Chef had simply cut my pasta and lobster up like you would a child's plate. The waiter told me the lobster is always tough because of the way it is pre-prepared. The waiter suggested I order pasta and shrimp. When my plate returned a 3rd time, it was the same pasta and lobster, but now if was cut in small little pieces. I left without eating anything. The next day, I saw the waiter (who is in a management position) at the breakfast buffet. I told him, I wanted him to know that I knew I had been served the same plate of food three time. I said, but you knew that too, did't you. He just looked at me.

Great small luxury hotel in excellent environment. Staff all around the facilities are great. The minute you step in you know that you are in for a luxury treat. Shuttle bus is a great thing provided by this hotel at a small fee which is totally understandable. Pool and garden areas cleanliness is just amazing. The views from rooms and 4th floor breakfast area are awesome. If you don't want to travel around by train then a car is a must have. Also, I think drinking water should be topped up in the room free of charge every day.

Excellent well managed, clean, comfortable and very friendly hotel. Excellent food in the restaurant which is good because there is nowhere else close by to eat. Beautiful views over the coast and Vesuvius. Would definitely stay here again. Well positioned for Pompeii, Herculaneum, and the Amalfi coast although best to hire a car for easy access to these places.

The taxi ride to the hotel from the Naples airport can be from $135-$185 one way. Many attractions in Naples are in the vacinity of the airport, so you can pay up to $370/day on just transportation. We had a bad experience at the Restaurant. I ordered pasta and Lobster. My lobster was rubbery and tough to cut with a knife. I requested another lobster, but not over cooked. When my plate returned, the 1st lobster and pasta had simply been cut up, like you would cut up a child's plate. I said to the waiter, I wanted another lobster, not my lobster cut up. He told me that all the lobsters were tough because of how they initially prepared them. He asked if I wanted something else and suggested the pasta and shrimp. When the new order arrived, it was actually the same lobster I had initially ordered,but now it was cut in even smaller pieces. I left without eating anything. The next day, I told the waiter (who is in a management position) at the breakfast buffet, that I am from Texas on the Gulf coast and eat shrimp all the time and a Chef would never cut shrimp up on pasta in little biddy pieces. I told him I knew that I had been served the same plate of food three times last night. I wanted him to know that I knew that, then I said, but you knew i too didn't you? He didn't reply.

Beautiful hotel! Once you enter, you feel like you’re in a different world. Very clean, antique furnishings, well maintained gardens and luxurious pool. The surrounding neighborhood is not inviting- so best to stay on the grounds - unless you plan to utilize a taxi/ shuttle. Delicious breakfast every morning and bartenders make incredible drinks.

Exceptional is an understatement! The staff is welcoming and helpful. Attentive and caring for your every need. The moment you enter the gate expect a more than beautiful scenery. The fruit forest setting is gorgeous! The spa is phenomenal and relaxing. The essential oils smell of local fresh citrus! Every view of the hotel is magnificent. Clean refreshing contemporary yet historical . The details are impeccable. The restaurant was completely to ourselves and they treated us well , especially Vin. The food was everything we could ask for. They made my pre birthday trip memorable and enjoyable! I would stay here 10 times over! 10 stars !

Outstanding service. Everyone here makes you feel like you're a celebrity. Always friendly and helpful. Concierge was always attentive to give us travel and visit tips. Dining room is stunning. Loved having Aperol spritz here. Breakfast is top notch too.

Beautiful hotel! At the front desk, Achille and Antonio were awesome! They were always willing to go the extra mile for us. And Vincenzo was by far the most attentive server at breakfast each morning on the beautiful penthouse rooftop and lanai dining overlooking a giant orange grove, Mount Vesuvius, the ocean, and Naples every morning and did an amazing job, always smiling and going above and beyond. The jets in the pool were incredible and some of the best on the entire planet. The filet steak at the restaurant in the garden was absolutely phenomenal and cooked to perfection. Food, service and ambience were A+. We really look forward to coming back here and staying again in the future.

I loved the Hotel Medusa... the food, the rooms, the staff, the ambiance was absolutely perfect! I really can't wait to go back! Oh! And the spa is amazing!

At first this was a good experience, but when arriving at the room it was soooo cold. We informera the straff and they said they were gonna fix it. We sent back after dinner only to realize it was even colder. After a while a staff member came to try and fix it, but failed to do so. We through the night freezing. We visited the front desk the next morning but they were very unpolite and didn't understand our issue. Very unfortonate for such a otherwise lovely hotel. Too bad the service wasn't so lovely...
