We stayed at the Dewey House at the Southern Most Beach Resort in May 2024. It is a nice B&B style house that is part of the Southernmost Beach Resort campus in Key West, Florida on the south end of Duval Street. It does feature a small plot of ocean however disappointing that such a small beach could be so dirty with organic debris. For the amount of money the resort charges, they owe it to their guests to keep those 200 yards of beach clean. We did not use the beach because of smell of rotting kelp in the 90-degree heat. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the rooms are clean and quiet. The complimentary breakfast was fine. Fresh fruit and pastries are set out and they offer a chef to prepare eggs. The ocean view room we had did offer a view of the ocean that included a balcony with two chairs. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to stay not too far from the action, and can afford their rates, then I recommend the Dewey House. If you are looking for expansive ocean views and a large CLEAN beach area, you may want to look elsewhere.

I booked this stay for my husband’s 40th birthday. I can not express enough how much I highly recommend this place! It is absolutely gorgeous, top to bottom. Breakfast was on point and the staff made you feel so welcomed and were so helpful - shout out to Ophelia who was a doll! I had spoken directly with the manager Alexa before our stay and she made everything perfect for us. Plenty of pools to choose from. The cafe was delicious and the coffee shop opened at 7:30. Beautiful views. Roosters everywhere and woke us up early in the morning but that’s everywhere in Key West. I found them very entertaining. So glad I splurged and spent the money on this resort! Can’t wait to come back

Had a very nice breakfast, I had an omlett prepared by Mike. Anne Marie, the hostess, aka the manager was delightful.

Returning to this Key West haven has become an annual tradition we eagerly anticipate. The moment we step into this charming retreat, it feels like coming home. The picturesque setting, nestled amidst the vibrant beauty of Key West, immediately washes away the stresses of everyday life. The rooms, elegantly appointed and always pristine, offer a serene sanctuary. The staff's warmth and attentiveness make each stay feel personalized and special. The amenities, from the inviting pool to the delightful dining options, ensure there's never a dull moment. Undoubtedly, this hotel captures the essence of Key West's allure, making each visit an unforgettable experience. Already counting down the days until next year's return!

I didn’t stay at your hotel, but I did go to the public beach where you rented out the chairs. I paid my $10… scratch that, $20 since I got 2 and assumed it included 2 towels – they were just sitting there for the taking. The guy I paid approached us, stating we weren’t guests and the towels were reserved for guests only, promptly snatching them away. Five minutes later, he returned them, explaining they had to be put in the dirty pile, so we might as well use them. I would have gladly paid $5 to use a towel. Perhaps consider offering that option instead of taking them away altogether.

It has been some time since I’ve stayed here. I was coming every year or so but I got cancer. I was excited to get ok to travel and was looking forward to visiting LeMer Dewey House again. But, after seeing the huge increase in room prices plus the 50.00 a day resort fee there’s no way I’d pay that much for a small room. They had all the amenities before and didn’t charge 50.00 a day for them. The room price has doubled! A matter of fact, my first stay I paid 181.00 a night. I don’t mind paying 500.00 a night. But this is not a fancy place. It’s cozy and quiet and that’s why I liked it. I don’t like huge hotels. Looks like I’ll just rent house and bring my pup!|I wish you would go back to being a reasonable place. Not a place overcharging because you can. I’d think repeat, loyal customers would be more important.

We stayed at the Dewey House at the Southern Most Beach Resort. Very nice spot on a little plot of ocean front. The staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean and quiet. The complimentary breakfast was okay. Fresh fruit and pastries are set out and they offer a chef prepared special. The specials seldom appealed to me. I did try the French Toast. It reminded me of what I’d prepare at home. Nothing special. The ocean view room we had did offer a partial view of the ocean. There was a nice little patio with two chairs. About half of our view was obstructed by the exhaust equipment on the roof of their beach restaurant. In fairness I need to check to see if our room was listed with an obstructed view. It does cost extra. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to stay not too far from the action then I recommend the Dewey House. If you are looking for expansive ocean views and a large beach area you may want to look else where.

Very frustrating in these tiny rooms. The closets have a bar so low that all of your clothes will hang and drag on the Floor, And only 2' across for space really poor design. You will live out of a suitcase for your entire stay because there are no dressers or tables with drawer space but they do have a huge chair and Ottoman and a useless desk. Service is excellent. The pool by the water is very milky and had a oil slick on the top of it. I mentioned it to the manager on duty and he didn't seem to know what was going on. They need to fire the pool company that services it There weren't that many people in the pool for it to look like that We were there for 4 days and it didn't change We did not swim because of that . The pool is not that large they should have been able to take care of it no problem. Next time I will definitely stay somewhere else
