June 14, 2025: The park looks like it had better times. Some old pictures I see here really don't match the reality anymore. I added some I took. It's a nice park to relax, but the decline and lack of maintenance made me sad. We went early and booked the 7 AM time slot to go the mini forest in the hope of seeing birds and animals. You have to pay entrance as non QC and then again buy, in front of the parking, another ticket, 50 pesos, for the mini forest. They didn't ask about a time slot. The mini forest is very small but nice for a little walk. Unfortunately, a dog was running around in the mini forest constantly barking and disturbed the silence and joy. We didn't see any bird. The only animal was the dog. When we left, I told about the dog to the security man who let us in. He told the dog belonged to a worker. Very sad because when you book a time slot, you have to agree with a long list of their own park rules about noise and pet policy,..

I paid 20 pesos entrance fee since I'm not from QC and it's very worth it though there are very limited places to go to on the park currently. The sound and the smell of the nature heals for real. Sadly, the pool is closed as well as the other parts of the park but it's still a great visit.

Plan your trip😇 Best during summer😉 Don't go during the rainy season some places may be muddy, slippery and tree branches might fall😱 Security guards are nice and helpful😇

Good to bring family here to relax but brimg you own portable fan as it is too warm. Yoi can still feel the hot weather of the city even if there were a lot of trees. Guards should also monitor other guests because there was someone trying to learn how to ride a motorcycle while there were children playing and riding bicycles.

the park is home for countless of flora and fauna as well, it holds a lot of treasure that is deemed for protection. place is great for nature walks, sight seeing and learning the ecosystem that sierra madre shares. i hope the biodiversity that La Mesa Ecopark takes care of would thrive. looking forward for more activities that would catch the interest of common people to be an environmental advocate, enthusiasts and nature lover!

La mesa Ecopark is open to the public with limited areas open. We registered online beforehand, but the confirmation wasn't checked when we bought the tickets. Went here on a holiday (2025) and the place wasn't crowded. Entrance fee is PHP20 if you're not a QC resident. They have bike rentals (PHP150- 250 rate per hour) but the area to bike on is pretty limited. The park has other activities you can try (mini rock climbing, archery, paintball shooting) and there are small stores you can buy meals from if you don't have packed meals. About half of the park is closed including amenities like their swimming pool, flower terraces, orchidarium which is a bit disappointing. But the picnic areas had lots of benches under shady trees, so its still good to rest after walking. They also have free drinking water fountains so bring your reusable tumblers. Parking wise, there's a lot of spaces, some with uneven paving. How to get here via commute: From Trinoma, look for the UV terminal parking along EDSA and ride a van going to SM Farview. Alight at Pearl Drive, and ask for a tricycle to take you to La Mesa Ecopark. Overall this is still a good place to unwind, just a few minutes away from the city center.

Small and charming park north of Manila. We did the nature trail with our dog which was nice but a little short. Would love to see more hiking trails for those of us that want to be in nature.

Relaxing Nature Escape at La Mesa Ecopark Although La Mesa Ecopark hasn’t fully returned to its former glory, it is still a wonderful place to enjoy nature. The park offers a refreshing escape from the city, making it perfect for spending quality time with family or loved ones. Whether you want to take a peaceful walk, jog, or simply relax in the fresh air, this place is ideal. There are food options available, but you can also bring your own if you prefer a picnic-style outing. One of the great features here is the bicycle rental, allowing visitors to explore the park in a fun and active way. The surroundings are clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall pleasant experience. If you’re looking for a relaxing day outdoors, La Mesa Ecopark is definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
La Mesa Eco Park has been on my activity list for quite awhile and I've finally decided to go with Mr. V for a Sunday outing. We were really excited to go there (although the drive is a little far from Makati) after reading quite a few reviews. We were looking forward to doing some outdoor activities on a beautiful summer day. The Park is smaller than expected but I must say the flora is beautiful. But what a disappointment for the activities. I agree it was a Sunday, but boy the place was crowded and noisy! It was packed with people gathering over food, loud music and screams at the picnic area. And there was only one food stall in the whole park. We were looking forward to rent a bike so we could ride around but you are actually not allowed and the track is basically a circle around a tree. How many rounds can one do for an hour around a tree! The zipline, boating in a lagoon, wall climbing were nowhere to be found (I assume they closed those activities). And the pool was so crowded it would be impossible to swim in it. As for fishing... Well it's in a small pond full of garbage and I doubt anything can be caught. It's definitely not a park where one can enjoy walking around and relax. There is a small trail in the forest but it's really small and takes not more than 10 minutes to walk around. We were really disappointed because we expected a park with nice activities and it really wasn't so. And definitely not a place to have a relaxing and peaceful day.

Yelp
What elements are essential to make a paradise? Different people would have different lists, but surely a constant feature would be flowers and trees, available food or meals, and fun activities. La Mesa Ecopark has all those three things together. First, flowers and trees. The Ecopark is a forest garden, meaning it's not a garden planted and arranged by a hired gardener but a garden growing out of a natural forest. The land area is quite vast, accommodating various species of plants and flowers such as Ipil-Ipil, Narra, Waling-Waling, Dancing Lady, Dendrobium, Birds of Paradise, and many other indigenous flowers. Second, you wouldn't go hungry walking around the vast space that is La Mesa Ecopark. No, you don't have to eat the flowers. There are many concessionaires stationed in strategic spots, offering to the hungry visitor foods that are close to the Filipino's heart such as inihaw, halo-halo and ice cream. Lastly, since every person is a child at heart, there must be fun activities. The Ecopark features zip lining, target shooting, paintball, bungee jumping, and trampoline. These activities would surely leave you breathless or shrieking from mixed excitement and fear. So come to Ecopark if you wish to recapture the wonderland of youth!

Yelp
I fondly remember La Mesa Eco Park with the usual ABS-CBN advertisement especially in the afternoon back when I was in high school and grade school. I only got to visit the place when my friends and I decided to have a picnic here a few years ago. It was a blast because there were a lot of people doing the same thing. There were also people who were shooting for a pre-nuptial vid and another one for a magazine or catalogue. We also enjoyed strolling around because the place is huge and there were a lot of plants and trees which is kind of a stress reliever from all the pollution in the metro. I haven't visited the place again but I was about to when my photographer friend invited me to shoot with my Princess Bubblegum costume. It didn't go through because it rained at that time. It would have been a perfect place because it somehow resembles the Land of Ooo particularly the Candy Kingdom. I've also seen a lot of photos on my Facebook feed about cosplayers going here because they're professional photography friendly unlike other places wherein they'd shoo you away or make you pay for a pricey photoshoot fee.

Yelp
It's truly amazing how one can find solace in the busy and sometimes toxic city life. Sometimes, it takes a crazy bike trip to make you realize that. This was the case when I went to La Mesa Eco Park. Before hitting the trails, the park rangers briefed us for safety and park rules, which were very helpful and reasonable. After the briefing and getting ready with our gears, we set off. A guide goes with each group, and being the newbie, I was right behind him. I felt safe knowing there was someone with us who knew the park right to it's core, and that gave me enough confidence to look around from time to time and appreciate the beauty of nature along the way. I felt like everything was on steroids - from the trees, the leaves, the grass. Heck, even the butterflies were massive. Midway, we stopped at the rest area by the dam, which pretty much looks like a lake. It felt as if we weren't in the city really. The fresh air and the countless picturesque areas really made me fall deeper in love with nature. I went to La Mesa Eco Park with no expectations and only to try out mountain biking. Yup, I got my first dose of riding a mountain bike and riding on a trail at La Mesa Eco Park. Crazy? Yes. Crazy beautiful. That's what Le Mesa Eco Park is.

Yelp
Getting a brief respite from the hustle and bustle of Manila life is not as hard as people make it to be. Communing with nature and getting some peace and quiet can be had with just a short ride to Fairview where La Mesa Ecopark is located. The park spans a massive 33 hectares that's meant to preserve the La Mesa watershed. Inside La Mesa Ecopark you'll find an ecological paradise. There are trees everywhere making you able to breathe fresh air. There are no cars belching out smoke. You'll be able to walk around freely and take in the sights and sounds of nature. You can even rent a fishing rod and try your luck in catching something. Once you're done with your existential crisis, you can try out more fun and exciting activities inside the Ecopark. There's bungee jumping, a zipline, bike trails, and even a paintball field.

Yelp
La Mesa Eco Park. I'm truly thankful for whoever genius had the idea of putting up this majestic sanctuary in the north. La Mesa Eco Park is QUITE the drive -- I was coming from Ortigas which falls somewhere in the spectrum of the southern north -- so yes, that's saying something. If you're coming from Alabang or Makati, bring snacks. Haha. In any case, it was definitely worth the journey. My balikbayan best friend and I ended up going wall climbing, doing a crazy trampoline jumping thing that I freaked out in the middle of, and just walking through the grass and greenery and enjoying ourselves. What a contribution this is to the environment.

Yelp
If you are looking for a cheap summer idea, La Mesa ecopark is a good choice. This 32-hectare property is an oasis of green tucked right in the middle of a pollution-filled city. There is enough space to run around in for the kids and pets are also welcome to join the family fun. Aside from family picnics, there are also other activities to do inside the ecopark like swimming in the pool, visiting the butterfly garden, fishing, boating, and ziplining, which of course come with corresponding fees. Or you can just chill on the shaded grassy areas or go exploring. The orchidarium and the amphitheater are cool areas for photos. There are toilets and hand washing areas scattered throughout the high-traffic areas, and these are well-maintained. If you would rather not bring your food, there are numerous food kiosks which offer basic grub at decent prices. Obviously, weekdays are better for a visit if you are hoping for fewer crowds but even during weekends, things are pretty tame because they don't allow alcoholic drinks and loud music.
