La Mesa

I’m celiac, I only asked about the chicken skewers, she said they were gluten free but did not seem confident at all so I was nervous. I didn’t eat the fries it came with or the salad because I wasn’t confident the dressing was gluten free. Service was mid but the stuff did not seem to enjoy their jobs and food was decent. Not a terrible place but had better experiences. I did not have a reaction from only the chicken skewers

Lovely live band. Which was the highlight of the evening. For both the food and the wine menu about 80% was not available anymore ( ordered at about 7:30pm). Personnel has the knowledge of a broken pavement tile, don't know anything about the menu or the ingredients. So if you have an allergy never go here. The main courses we ordered were not available. however, an hour later at least 2 tables were served with the requested main courses. Have been here a few times before, everything was fine before. It's a very nice location, some dishes are very nice, but the personnel is worst I've seen. Even for Lucian standards

Food was great, steak cooked exactly how i wanted, tasty lamb burger and those potato wedges were awsome, our server let the place down, female with dred type hair with pink ends, she was just plain rude and totally disinterested.

We were a table of five, we were served by a fantastic young lady called Ayian (spelled wrong im sure) she was very professional and was polite and attentive. Our staters were absolutely delicious but unfortunately our main were a disaster. Moules not thoroughly so cooked served closed, steak that was so over cooked, chicken skewers that were dry and tough and a salmon dish that was tasteless. Didn’t have the wine we choose but settled for another that was pleasant so order a second. Sadly not the same as our first bottle so sent it back, We asked to talk to the front of house manager that was rude less than helpful and an attitude that doesn’t belong in hospitality this lady is a disgrace and a big disappointment to our table.she was argumentative and down right rude! The waitress that served us should have been the manager as she was a credit to la Mensa. I say avoid this place

I ordered take out and waited 25 minutes and then they told me they were sold out after I waited. I then asked for the manager and they told he is not in, 30 seconds later the owner manager walked by me and told him what I thought. Avoid at all costs as they have no clue how to run a steak house. They probably saved my stomach from being sick if this how they run a restaurant

Food was good but nothing extra special. Same with the service, staff was cold. The tzatziki sauce that comes with the lamb burger is just mayo with pickles, not Greek yogurt.

The location is good and has a decent menu. However the customer service is lacking and servers are not invested in the success of the business. Not welcoming.

NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN! The worker who was DRUNK hit a Pregnant lady (me) due to hit not being able to ‘chat up’ a 21 year old the workers and manager defended him instead of using basic MANNERS and apologising I had to call the police he then went behind the bar to get a bottle to try and hit use with (a group of women) until a local stopped him
