La Moubra

Campsite in Crans Montana. It’s right on the edge of town with shaded and unshaded pitches. Some are within the trees. It’s right next to a lake and has onsite bar. It was quiet whilst we were there with little noise coming from the bar. All the shops are uphill from the campsite but I believe there is a bus up but we never used it, preferring to walk (it is really quite steep though). You get a guest card (having paid tourist tax) and early in the season this gives you free access to the cable car… a lovely bonus (check dates and other pearls online). The owner Zoran was very helpful and will accept emailed reservations and is quick to respond. Our only slight niggle is that the general public can walk straight through the site to the lake. Also be warned that the helipad is on the edge of the site but luckily it was never used whilst we were there (possibly for mountain rescue / air ambulance? we never did find out).

Arrived today and Alex was helpful and courteous showing around and explaining the site. Showers are clean and warm. 10 minutes to the main lift to the bike park. Lovely spot for a camper van with EHUand waste disposal and fresh water.

ENG LANG review: Epic Hygge! Such a wonderful place that I'd never expect to see in the Alps! The family & team who run it are all exceptionally nice and professional, the location is genuinely dream-like, and the atmosphere is a perfect mix of homely comfort & staggering beauty! I performed here with a band for their recent blues festival, and it was perfect in every way - the other bands were chosen by the owners specifically and (despite my job being touring the world) they stood out amongst the worldwide competition as being an exceptional group of people running an exceptional venue (they gave the same care to the crowd/public as the bands - that's very rare!) Even if you're not camping & you're just nearby, pop in & visit and you'll see what I mean!

Big and only camping place in Crans Montana. It has also a cafe which plays nice blues music. There is a helicopter pist and a sport area near. So it is not so quite. But nice.

If you are looking for an overnight backup in Crans Montana, this is the only one,... as this city don't allow any bivouac.... Camping has easy access, you can find a spot late night and all amenities clean!

Nice spot to camp at and the prices for a camping spot in Switzerland were totally fine, too. Nothing special regarding the toilet and showers but absolutely ok.
