La Nonna Carmela

I happened upon this restaurant when visiting town alone and had to bring my family back with me. Love the food here, can’t recommend it enough. Great spot for gluten free food that doesn’t weigh you down but you would never know it was gluten free given the texture and flavor. 10/10 recommend coming here if you’re looking for a taste of Italy abroad.

The pesto pasta was great—fresh and flavorful. The pizza toppings were also really good, but the crust was tough and seemed under-fermented, which made it hard to chew. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t great. It was slow, and they forgot to bring us utensils, so we had to ask twice. The food had potential, but the overall experience could have been better.

This place is entirely gluten free and sin gluten. Gluten free croquet, gluten free pasta, seven kinds of paste with many sauces to choose from. Gluten free pizza bases. The best gluten free pizza I had is in Seville. This is a very very close second. Overall the best Gluten-free restaurant I have ever been to.

The food was good, I just felt that it was very expensive (just over 160€ for 4 people) for what it was...2 starters, 4 mains, 2 desserts with water and 4 beers, it is a lot compared with other places. There were also many children running around which I found annoying. I would recommend the bread as it is delicious 😋

Best Italian food ever outside of Italy. The gnocchi with pesto was simply amazing and very rich. The pizza tasted authentic and the tomato sauce was fresh like it was made today. Our waiter Sebastian was very friendly and understood our order immediately. Would very much recommend for some good Italian food.

so happy to find a dedicated gluten free restaurant of such high quality. Three of us had lunch, all having pizzas. Really really good. I mean really good Showed up without a reservation and were lucky to get seated outside on their terrace. While the temp was quite hot, their misting fans help make the overall experience quite comfortable. Not to worry though they had ample AC inside. I would definitely recommend reservations for dinner and for sure on the weekend Their pizza was about as good as I have ever had. Great service. Tons of options. And again, everything is gf so no worry about cross contamination. I asked again after my first bite of the pizza because it was so good I doubted it was actually gf. I would throw another star or two on the rating if I could. prices were very reasonable considering the quality of the food, portion size (ample), great service, and the spectacular setting in the historic heart of downtown Granada. Thanks so much to the people who created this restaurant. Ps. It was so good we came back again two days later for another excellent meal. A variety of gluten free beer available as well

We had amazing time at La Nonna Carmela. Everything was perfect. The staff was extremely polite and professional. You get amazing value for your money. Now, if you are gluten free this will be your paradise. You will never know the difference. Actually, this place had better pasta and pizza than lots of other non gf restaurants. We recommend this restaurant, no matter if you are gluten free or not. Definitely will come back next time we are in Granada.

Excellent authentic Italian food ALL GLUTEN FREE without compromising on taste and quality! Every time I’m in Granada I visit this spot. Interior is stunning and the location is central, quaint and right next to the Catedral. Servers are wonderful and every time I’ve been they serve a complementary taster snack. Love La Nonna Carmela.
