This place has the best bbq wings! They are smoked and has a good flavor to the sauce. Their buffalo wings are just okay. Wouldn’t recommend them. The pizza has sesame seed crust, which is so so good. They sell pizza by the slice and heat it to order. Service was super friendly and very fast. Highly recommend the pizza and the bbq wings!

Google
Well my you tube foodies did not disappoint again. This place was great was a a quick family vacation and this was on are list. This place has everything pizza's, hot & cold subs, calzones, etc & yes Wings. We ordered a large 2 topping pizza,20 wings half bbq & garlic parm hot sausage sub This place did not disappoint. I'm glad to see a multigeneration family owned business doing great. If your in Buffalo, NY, W Ferry St you need to go to this place...

Google
Used to be the best, hands down, but orders have been terrible in some way every time for a while now. Tonight was this poor excuse for “extra” pepperoni, the receipt shows I was charged but even the standard isn’t this meager. It’s either the toppings wrong, or the crust order done wrong/ignored entirely, recently had the worst wings of my life as well. At this point it’s a surprise to open the food and see what I actually ordered. Even checking it in store, they’ve refused to fix it. I’ve kept ordering because it still tastes better than other options for the most part but at this point it’s beyond ridiculous. Very disappointing to see such a decline in a once top notch and extremely reliable establishment.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Being from out of town, this was our first authentic New York Pizza experience. The gentlemen at the counter recommended a slice of buffalo style pepperoni pizza, as well as buffalo and bbq wings. The slices were huge and very tasty albeit I wish they were heated up a little bit. The wings came out fresh, the sauces were amazing and the texture was perfect. The atmosphere was lively with pictures all over the walls, music, and TVs. The restaurant was clean but a little cluttered.

Google
Best BBQ wings! The jumbo wings are crispy, filled with flavor in a sweet, thick BBQ sauce. You’ll be licking your fingers because they’ll be covered in sauce. Staff are friendly and atmosphere is very Buffalo! I suggest ordering ahead of you can- bc there can be a wait based on how busy they are. Parking is very limited at the West Ferry location. Enjoy!

Google
I'm originally from Buffalo but moved to South Florida years ago. I came here for a funeral and was craving wings and pizza, you know, comfort food. LA Nova didn't disappoint. They were busy as ever, but our order was ready when we got there. The staff was incredibly friendly. The gentleman asked my cousin and I if we were mothers, to which we replied Yes. He then wished us both a wonderful Mother's Day. I certain we each even forgot that Mother's day was on Sunday. Anyway, I don't know hiw the locals currently feel about La Nova but they're still a hit with me.

Google
A must stop if your in buffalo.. pizza and wings were really good...

Google
First time visiting Buffalo the gentleman who greeted me made me feel welcome and was very friendly. I expressed interest in their Buffalo sauce and he gave me a bottle. I will be stopping by again next time I come to Buffalo the pizza was great.

Yelp
La Nova is a buffalo and household staple. I only go to the west side location, but they do have on location on Main Street in Williamsville. Great pizza. Probably my favorite sauce on a Buffalo pizza. Pepperoni is always cooked well. My go to is the garlic crust! They have a vast option of subs as well. Will say they have gotten smaller over the years but the flavor still the same. Wife got a steak taco which was filled very well, but the steak could of used seasoning. The taco was ordered meduin but I'd probably suggest getting hot to help out with the flavor. Also tried the spicy chicken taco taco as well and added hot spicy salsa. This also was stuffed, and the flavors were good. Lanovas can hit everyone needs, from pizza, to wings, to even dinners.

Yelp
Absolute staple in Buffalo for wings. Been here multiple times and it has yet to disappointment. Pizza is tasty, fries are crispy, pizza logs are savory and the mozzarella sticks aren't bad. But, the wings here are the best in Buffalo. Better than Duffs, Anchor bar, Barbill, and Wingnutz. All flavors are good but the golden bbq is delicious. Strictly rating on the wings, it is a 5/5. Be careful late at night because the location is not in the best area.

Heidi H.

Yelp
Loved the pizza! They have many options besides pizza. Just your normal pizza place nothing fancy. Prices fair. Our server,Nelly, was wonderful!

Liz R.

Yelp
Ordered chicken Alfredo an it was spoiled tried calling but I'm guessing they was closing I ordered bucket of 50 wings and a large meat lover that was good as always in total I paid $155 just upset first time trying the Alfredo here

Yelp
The pizza is out of this world, I really mean it! The best pizza in Buffalo, probly in the United States! The service....wish they could do alittle better with that. My husband was ordering pickup and I heard the conversation, the employee was so rushed and sounded so dry, almost like "get on with it" while we were ordering. I didn't like that. But again, I'll have to give them their flowers because the food is delicious
google avatar

Michele M.

Yelp
La Nova is not just for pizza. I love their subs way better than their pizza. My favorite is the steak and cheese with BBQ sauce, and get it on garlic bread! Ordered Cajun onions rings, I'd stay away from those way to salty and we're uneditable
google avatar

Arthur H.

Yelp
There slices is always great. The customer service is always the best. The atmosphere is nice. Clean floors.

Donovan C.

Yelp
Burnt pizza perfect for pick up. This was my first time trying to place that was recommended by a friend. Will not be wasting my money here again.
google avatar

Tiffanie G.

Yelp
Best BBQ wings ever!!! Every time I'm in Buffalo I MUST get La Nova's BBQ wings!!! These jumbo wings have a unique flavor! Crispy wings covered in a sweet, thick BBQ sauce make them soooo tasty. Trust me- you'll want to come back again & again after tasting these wings at one of their 2 restaurant locations. Staff are nice and atmosphere is very Buffalo. Just be aware there is limited parking at the West Ferry location. Enjoy!

Alison S.

Yelp
Great food! So many delicious varieties of pizza and wings! Highly recommended! It's a place I stop at every visit!
google avatar

Charles C.

Yelp
Without competition, the best barbecue chicken wings ever made not to speak of the pizza is awesome

Casey G.

Yelp
I ordered a pepperoni calzone at 7:15 for pickup. I live three blocks away. Lady who took my order told me thirty minutes. I picked it up 20 minutes later and it was barely lukewarm. The calzone was clearly cooked previously and handed off to me as if it was fresh. I was at my home taking my first bite in less than thirty minutes after ordering it. There is no possible way it was barely lukewarm in that time. Disappointed.

Melanie C.

Yelp
Ordered a simple steak n cheese sub. Was like ground up dog food w lettuce and tomato. Disappointed and lost my appetite. Inedible, went directly into the trash.

Yelp
I am talking about the location in the hood on the west side -the best side. I love the food I think it's fantastic. It's been the same since I was a kid. I eaten everything on the menu five times over. Go on find yourself a parking spot you'll really enjoy any of the dishes.
google avatar

Lj A.

Yelp
Food: 3/5 Wings weren't really hot- the temperature was lukewarm , didn't think it was worth the price because the wing were smaller than other wing spots in the area. Service: 4/5 service was chill. Atmosphere: 4/5- it was a bit cold in the dinning room
google avatar

Yelp
I called and ordered a mini pack because I wanted something besides Ricotta Pizza... La Nova's is one of my favorite places to get food from. One problem would be the communication. I wasn't told that the delivery charge went up and wasn't told about the final price. My order came up to 61.00 and with delivery it was 68 to 69.00. The price really wasn't an issue if it was communicated. My problem is that I'm allergic to celery. I always ask for no celery and I communicated to the young lady that I didn't want it under my wings or on top of my wings. Not even on the side. NO CELERY AND ALLERGIC MEANS ALLERGIC. My pizza they got right which I always thought they would forget. Beef pepperoni instead of pork. I hope that you can fix these issues because I like your food but not at my expense.
google avatar

Fonville T.

Yelp
This is my first stop when I come home. I don't care how many pizzerias come after this place is Buffalo and this is what I want . The best pizza in the world
google avatar

Jenn D.

Yelp
We are traveling from Charlotte, NC and were in the Buffalo area to go to Niagara Falls. Bisonte Pizza in Charlotte recommended La Nova as the pizza to go to while in Buffalo. I placed a to go order and my husband went to pick it up. The location honored a military discount, which is always so generous and much appreciated. Our pizza was cooked perfectly and delicious! Highly recommend this location if you are in the area.
google avatar

Hannah L.

Yelp
Have I done it? Have I found the best pizza in the Buffalo area? Based on previous reviews of La Nova, I'd say I'm not so sure since they seem to be inconsistent in quality but steady in raising their prices. But based on the few experiences I've had with their pizza, I know they're a contender for sure. La Nova seems to be my work's go-to pizza joint for ordering food for office gatherings and events. This has been my introduction to their food, and admittedly I haven't had anything else from their menu besides their sublime pizza. What I like so much about it is the sauce! I'm NOT a fan of sweeter sauces, and this is the complete antithesis of that. It's very savory and has an almost spicy kick to it. The rest of the pizza is good too; the cheese and crust are both exactly how I like it. But the sauce has stolen the show for me every time. I highly recommend trying La Nova for a taste of some quality Buffalo pie. I'll have to try more off of their menu, and I'll update my review accordingly, but for now, I'm just lost in the sauce.

Yelp
Pizza and wings among the greatest in Buffalo. Consistency is the problem, when it's great, it's great. When it's not, it's still good but always expecting great so as they say, expectations breeds disappointment.

Yelp
Shawn's Pizza Reviews REVIEW # 23 LA NOVA W FERRY ST. BUFFALO, NY SCORE 9.6 This pizza is perfection! Official pizza of the Buffalo Bills for a reason. Most people come here for the wings but you can't have wings without pizza, right? Staff was super friendly and the inside was packed. I have no complaints but if I had to nit pick something, it's a bit expensive. Butttt totally worth it!
google avatar

T P.

Yelp
Very generous on the cheese, solid place. My order is right most times and if not they always make it right.
google avatar

Jacob B.

Yelp
This is the greatest La Nova pizza I've had. When I picked up the pizza, the two people behind the counter were very friendly, and it looks like the restaurant is very kept up from the inside. I would definitely recommend going here for a nice Buffalo experience.
google avatar

Ahmad W.

Yelp
I got a large cheese pizza here for the first time ever shipped! You have to speak to the lady Jenny on the phone Monday-Friday . My bro kids mom and family are from Buffalo NYC so he told me about this place years ago! When he and my niece and nephew visited for a wedding this was all that they ate. They had a chicken and broccoli pizza that my niece loves and my bro is stuck on the pepperoni pizza . I wanted cheese first time. I look to try the authentic Buffalo Wings in the future. I might stop eating Pizza Hut altogether. I did a before and after pic of my pizza. The instructions says 12-15 minutes I did 20 minutes.
google avatar

Kaitlyn M.

Yelp
What a poor, pathetic excuse for a business. I placed an order for a small pizza and 3 garlic knots. I went out of my way to call La Nova after placing my order to make sure they did not forget the knots like they have the PAST 3 TIMES. The lady reassures me she sees the knots on my order and that they will be delivered. Pizza gets here and what do you know? NO KNOTS. I call La Nova and get the same lady on the phone. She tells me "oh we told the deliverer to tell you that we don't have any knots." I'm sorry what? Why didn't you just tell me that on the phone when we spoke originally? Making excuses instead of admitting your reoccurring incompetence is astounding. Absolutely in need of new management.

Yelp
Visiting Buffalo and a friend I work with is from the city and recommended this spot. Parking was kinda a free for all. We walked in and was immediately greeted. You have to order at the counter and then they will call you when it's ready. You can pick your own seats. Some of the tables hadn't been cleaned but we found a clean one. We ordered pepperoni pizza and wings. The pizza came first. It was hot, cheesy and fresh. I'm more of a thin crust pizza and this was thicker. The taste was good and the pepperoni was the best tasting pepperoni I ever had. My son said the pizza as a whole was "ok". The wings came later. They were hot fresh and pretty good. Nothing special. The vibe was ok you can tell a lot of locals were there and it was pretty loud. I'm glad I tried it out tho.

DC B.

Yelp
Okay, you're feeding pizza to a crowd that hails from big cities on both coasts. And you're in Buffalo, so you gotta add wings. And, you have some folks who just have to have a salad. So where do you go? La Nova of course. Toppings are generous. Pepperoni was great and well-received by all. Vegetarian pizza with spinach and tomatoes was tasty. Wings disappeared before I got even one, so I am assuming it was great. AND the salad was not only fresh with tasty tomatoes accompanying the lettuce and red onion, but they creatively served it in a pizza box (lined with tin foil) for our large crowd-- so well-received, especially with an array of Ken's dressings to let everyone choose their own. End result? Everyone happy.
google avatar

Jeuanita P.

Yelp
This is Pizza!!! I could not come to Buffalo and not enjoy a slice of La Nova's. It is the sesame seeds on the crust for me!!! I had get t-shirts to represent this Buffalo icon's brand!
google avatar

Miguel S.

Yelp
Order pizza from this place to try authentic Buffalo style NY pizza. I'm from NYC which has its own style, and I am living in CT which has its own style. Buffalo like to have their pizzas thick not as thick as Chicago but a nice thicker style than NYC slices. La Nova was the place to check out. When you first walk to the place it looks small but when your inside you will see lots of places to sit. The atmosphere is busy which is good because you know they are selling pizzas! Don't forget to try the wings, which everyone in Buffalo will say. It was good I love all the flavor selections. If you here visiting like I was make this your pizza spot for sure.

Mike C.

Yelp
Best. Pizza. Ever. Perfectly cooked cup-n-char pepperoni pie. After living in Florida for the past 10 years and eating some pretty miserable pizza, coming home and biting into this pizza literally brought tears to my eyes! lol. I lived in Manhattan throughout the 90's and even their exceptionally good pizza couldn't compare to La Nova's.

Greg N.

Yelp
pre-cut, thin as paper pepperonI?! and you call yourself Buffalo pizza ridiculous. That's cafeteria pizza pepperonI.
google avatar

Annette J.

Yelp
My husband and I ordered delivery to our hotel from here while in town and found the wings to be worth the entire order. I'm not into super spicy things so we just had the basic BBQ and they were SO great. The char on them and the sweet and tangy bbq was amazing. I have legitimately been craving them ever since I finished my last bite! We also ordered a pizza and got a large. Now, my husband and I can really pack away a pizza and a large usually does is pretty well with a bit of leftovers for the next day. We had a fridge in our room so we went larger and figured we could eat the leftovers on our drive back home the next day. But we probably should have stuck with the small because this pizza will stick to your ribs. It's loaded with cheese and toppings and one slice was enough to fill both of us up so we had A LOT of pizza left. The crust was a little soggy under all those toppings and it was a touch greasy but still good. Not my favorite pizza I've ever had but it was enjoyable enough. My biggest complaint was that the whole meal was pretty pricey, setting us back around $60 with delivery. Which, holy cow that's a lot of money for pizza and wings. But I'd definitely get those wings again!
google avatar

Indigo P. N.

Yelp
The pizza was the bomb! I had you New York style cheese pizza. But those wings... Very skimpy on the sauce. This is Upstate New York. Do not expect put them to marinate the chicken. So the flavor is totally dependent off of the sauce. But I'm definitely going back when I come to visit! Also, you can't go in. There is a table outside for you to order at. And when your food is ready, they'll bring it to that table for you to get. You have to wait in your car.

Sam I.

Yelp
$38. Two steak subs, Main st. location this Saturday . Both with very little steak, more lettuce, few 1/2 slices of tomatoes, little pieces of onion. $38. Price is pretty high in any pizza place, but to get TWO terrible subs, the price is a crime. We have been customers at both locations over the many years, but this kind of service tells me it's time to spend my money elsewhere.
google avatar

Geoffrey C.

Yelp
I've had their pizza and wings for over twenty years, so I'm sorry to see La Nova's decline. Our last three experiences with their pizza have been bad, including a pizza delivered with raw garlic cloves inside. Raw. My last time going into their location is the dealbreaker, though. Their delivery driver cut me off with his car. As we were both going inside, he gave me a long middle finger and dropped the F-bomb at me. When I suggested to the manager, Gina, that she should have a word with him, she said, "No. Mikey wouldn't say that, he goes to church." Then she explained that she is not responsible for anything their drivers do outside of the restaurant. Well, now I understand why Mikey is off the hook. Another customer said he witnessed the whole thing, adding, "He behaves that way because he knows they won't do anything about it." Exactly. The pizza is overpriced, but the abuse is free.
google avatar

James R.

Yelp
Kind of like a New England Greek pizza (sort of..)...with sesame seeds and hefty amount of cheese and the "cup and char" pepperoni (yes with small grease pools in cupped meat..). If you are from Buffalo, this is a standard pizza....and to a certain degree, the style of thicker crust one is the type more likely to find in the rest of the country. For those of us from the NYC/CT area...this is probably ok if you like a very heavy Greek-esque style za...but La Nova's is not my jam. Way too heavy (the slices flop from all the goo on top) and not a lot of love in this...for big neck guys who don't mind feeling like they will have swallowed something that turns to stone in your innards. Buffalo has a lot of good eats..but pizza is definitely not one of those foods....
google avatar

Henry R.

Yelp
Place has amazing customer service and their wings did not disappoint. I had their pepperoni pizza and hit the right notes. Business looks very clean and orderly.
google avatar

Jane C.

Yelp
Delivery was a mess. They didn't tell the delivery person I gave a 20% tip and they refused to provide napkins and plates for a $50-plus pizza order. The pizza? Hard to go wrong with grease, cheese and dough.
google avatar

Laith P.

Yelp
So knowing that buffalo is a pizza meca. I thought I would try this pizzeria out since it was down the street from my job. I will say being a pizza lover as myself I was super disappointed by the customer service here. The employees at the counter were really rude and not very welcoming to this place of business. The inside of this pizzeria has a lot sports memorabilia. It definitely gave me a sports bar type of feeling which I love. The location has profound pillars of why it left a mark on the community. The food is super pricey so just understand that it will cost you more than you would like if ordering a pie with any wings. The wings are phenomenal they have such an array of flavors. The wings were cooked gracefully not leaving much pink to the blind eye. The wings are good sized and just getting a 10 piece with a drink could easily satisfy your hunger for lunch. The pizza itself comes in a colorful and strong box which didn't allow any leakage of the pizza on my car seat-can't tell you how many times that has happened to me with other pizzerias. Overall, the pizza was fluffy not to saucy. Just the right amount of cheese and the topping also were great.
google avatar

Roderick K.

Yelp
And I thought Buffalo NY was the place for wings. I also thought TGIF's at the Holiday Inn & Suites on Main St held the crown for the worst buffalo wings but this place snatched the crown. First it took over an hour and a half to get our food delivered. Then it arrives without the other half of the order. The wings looked like they were fried 6 months ago and the pizza looked as if it was made the same 6 months ago. Even worse I paid 48 dollars for this mess for the 2 of us.

JP W.

Yelp
I ordered a Large cheese pizza 1/2 pepperoni from the toast app on La novas website with no delivery fee. Odd but I decided to tip accordingly. Order came promptly as we are less than a mile away. My receipt had my amour crossed out and written in pen was my amount from app plus 7 dollars. I asked the driver he said take it up with my boss I tried to adjust the amount he said you will be charged the amount that he wrote. Put a new amount in that included 7 dollar deliver charge but a much smaller tip. We will see if they charge me. We are ER nurses we were not expecting this.

Jess M.

Yelp
ordered the mini pack. Pizza was over cooked wings came with two packets of ketchup no celery, carrots or blue cheese. The price online was different from the one they gave us. will not be ordering from them anymore.

Anthony W.

Yelp
Get back to cooking quality food. Get better workers, stay out the videos. Maybe try hiring somebody that just doesn't live around the corner.
google avatar

Kelley S.

Yelp
A little pricey BUT boy is it worth it! Pizza is always delicious- their sauce is top notch. I always get their BBQ on the Pit wings (SO good), today I also got 1/2 Gallic Parm (Which seems to be the new thing) and I have to say, these are by FAR one of the best Garlic Parm wings I have ever had! Ordered during the Bills game- delivery came within the hour! When ordering online, you can customize EVERYTHING! Drums or flats, half this or half that. Extra Blue Cheese or for you non-Buffalonians- ranch. Extra saucy/Extra crisp AND MY FAVORITE customization for the pizza- CAJUN CRUST!

Sean T.

Yelp
Pizza was fresh and very tasteful. Definitely the best pizza in Buffalo. The wings were fried for to long. Other then that, this is place to be

Mary B.

Yelp
A friend of mine was getting 5 days of chemo at roswell and they needed something to eat. So saw a pamphlet on the bulletin board for LA nova pizza. So order a 16 inch classic pizza and honey garlic wings without the honey. Was not happy for paying $57.09 for pizza and wings. The crust was overly burnt and the wings had honey on them eventhough they requested no honey just garlic. They brought some back for me to try and I wasn't impressed either. As our local true Italian pizza place charged us fir a 20 inch Supreme and 20 wings our choice plus celery and blue cheese only $35. So you can understand my reasoning. I didn't get a whole darn chicken nor a nice golden brown crust with softness inside to bite. My dog sure loved it he thought it was a bone for him. So if you want over priced pizza and wings look then up. Otherwise I'd try a different place.
google avatar

Dawn F.

Yelp
Ordered Chicken Finger Pizza, it was inedible the chicken fingers were burnt, no sauce on the pizza!! The wings tasted like they had been doused in kerosene!!! What happened to La Nova?? I use to drive across town to buy their wings! NEVER AGAIN
google avatar

Dea P.

Yelp
The worst. Ordered delivery from here the driver went to the wrong place and dropped the food at a hotel next door. Called them and they told me to go to the hotel and get it! Accepted no accountability for the mistake. I actually called the hotel and they said someone else took the food. No apology no attempt to make right. Horrible management. He also argued with me about my actual address. Go here if you want people without a brain to treat you like crap. If not there are so many other good pizza places in Buffalo.
google avatar

Finbar F.

Yelp
Ordered online. Agreed to a price, tax, tip and then found an extra $5 added. There is no indication on the website when you're ordering that there's an extra $5 fee. Completely deceptive. And the sauce is terrible.
