Food, atmosphere, server was Great!!! Drove from an hour to spend time with my sister for her birthday, will be back.

I was excited to go here because of all the 5-star reviews. It was okay—nothing to write home about. The service was good, but our meals were just meh for both my husband and I.

I hate to leave bad reviews but felt obligated to given all the four star reviews left by others. Is it less crowded than all the other bars in Media for happy hour? Yes. Does the happy hour start at 3, making it one of the few earlier options? Yes. Is the staff always polite, attentive, and pleasant? Yes. Are the prices reasonable? Definitely. The food has always been totally acceptable (not amazing but nothing to complain about taste-wise). BUT, for the second time this year, this restaurant has gotten disturbing health code violations that are published in the Delco Times (can’t repost here for copyright reasons, but Google it), including rodent droppings in food storage areas. To each her/his own, but none of the above attributes can make up for multiple health violations for me. After the first around, I did try to come back after a few months, but the second round of violations makes it a never-again for me. It’s a shame, but I would want to know if I was checking reviews.

I haven’t been to this restaurant but this was from the last health inspection posted on main line media news. La Padella, 100 State Road, Media: • Chlorine sanitizing rinse at dish machine measured at 0 ppm chlorine concentration. • Clean dishes on the dish rack are soiled with rodent droppings. • Cheese in walk-in cooler is 45.5°. Time/Temperature Control for Safety Food is not maintained at 41°, or less. • Tomatoes in cold hold are 48.5°. Time/Temperature Control for Safety Food is not maintained at 41°, or less. • Date marking is not on all food items. • Food storage containers are not labeled. • Rodent droppings observed on the floor in the dry storage area and on the floor and shelving in the dishwashing area. • Cardboard observed lining nonfood-contact surfaces (shelving). • Mop was found stored incorrectly in-between use. • The walls were found soiled in the dishwashing area of the establishment.

We loved it. My mom is particular about where she sits and how her food is cooked. We got to sit at the window and her salmon was blackened and raw in the middle just as she asked. My eggplant was great and our server was great and attentive.

A delicious meal, great atmosphere and wonderful, attentive service! Our clients were very impressed. Danielle is the best and we can’t wait to go back!

Great service and great food! The calamari was some of the best I've ever had! Laurie was a great waitress! Kid friendly as well. We brought our 10 month old!
