La Palapita was a true lifesaver during Constitution Day in Valladolid! With the holiday crowds everywhere, we were looking for a quiet spot with delicious local food that was reasonably priced and served quickly. This place was perfect. It’s clean, authentic, and the staff is very pleasant. My husband ordered the meat fajitas, and I had the vegan bowl. I was pleasantly surprised by how filling and diverse the bowl was — I was worried about finding a good option since I don't eat meat, but it was excellent! The waiter also happily recommended a great local beer. It was a delicious, satisfying, and lovely experience.

Very cute place made for tourist. Not necessarily a trap !
We were really surprised how tasty and large the guacamole was. The drinks we ordered as well were great. The tamale itself was a bit dry and overcooked :-(
Thankfully we came just before peak season so the restaurant was peaceful. Nice decoration and style!

Everything at this restaurant was delicious. The food was clean, fresh, and high quality. The atmosphere is lovely. It’s the owner’s house that he grew up in as a child and it feels special just being there. It’s well decorated with lots of beautiful details and there’s pictures of his family, sort of a shrine for them. We felt really comfortable there. The service was great and the staff was patient and friendly.
We ordered Tamales, a salad, and a Sopa de Lima. My wife typically does not like Tamales, but they offer baked options that we were convinced to try and wow, we are glad we did! They are crunchy and not soft, and we loved them!
Highly recommend this restaurant. I wouldn’t put any stock into the random poor reviews.

Food was tasty, good flavors, however, service was so slow and so bad that it made the experience of the food bad. They were also out of all chicken, so menu became limited. Their empanadas were good tho compared to other places. Flavors in all the dishes were good, just poor service, likely due to the interesting restaurant layout.

The place is adorable, baldosas flooring, ambiance is so pretty, very local style, food is incredibly good and flavorful, the best tamales so far, plenty of drinks to choose. 💯% recommend, Carlos, our waiter, super nice.

The atmosphere was fantastic! Really beautiful tile floor, comfortable and uniquely designed wooden chairs, and high ceilings that made the whole space feel quite elegant. And with very reasonable prices! Great for our budget travel style.
Our server was Karina and she was great—kind, knowledgeable, and worked well with my mediocre Spanish.
The menu was full of classic regional dishes, as well as pasta and a vegan bowl. I highly recommend this place for a nice meal at a pretty thrifty price point.

Nice restaurant. The menu has a lot of varied options with lots of gluten free and vegetarian options. We ordered the empanadas de chaya which is made from corn and chaya so suitable for those not wanting wheat.
