Excellent pizza, with many topping choices, including some you don’t find in the States, potato & honey for example. Good yet affordable wine list. Aurelie & Alice took very good care of us. The food & drinks came almost immediately with friendly, attentive service, in French or English!

High quality Italian with extremely friendly and speedy service. All our meals were delicious. The tarte tatin was exceptional. Great atmosphere and good for families. Plus carefully chosen wine list. Highly recommend.

We were recommended by our hotel staff to try this restaurant and we were not disappointed. The staff and proprietors were lovely and helpful. I selected the pizza of the day 'Neopolitan' and it was a superb meal. My wife choose veal escalopes and she was very happy. The price of the meals and wine sekections are very good and well worth the money. We strongly recommend this restaurant. 👌

it was a sad experience. we came to the pizzeria after seeing good reviews. we ordered two pizzas. unfortunately one pizza was terrible. how can you cook like that!!!! impossible to understand. i do not recommend this place. be careful!!!!

Absolute find in Chartres. After a long day driving we were looking for a place for dinner not expecting much to be open on a Sunday evening, especially as we had our dog with us. It was an incredibly welcoming place and the food was absolutely fantastic. It was almost full and there was a queue of people waiting to collect take out orders. Always a good sign!

Nic Restaurant for Italian food - I must say the tiramisu was really great and I do trust them that it is home made and not just convenience food. And a good thing to do: walk 50m down the alley and then you have beautiful tables set out on a small place - which allows you to relax in the shade or in the sun just as you like and to delve into their pasta, pizza or other Italian food you love

We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so -- Anton Ego "Ratatouille" A thing most helpers don't understand is that it is not just the food on the plate, but the intent of the restauranteur in creating the space, the ambiance, the drinks to go with the food. In all those ways, plus the food, this place is a winner. Yes they speak English but try the French language, it doesn't bite. This neighborhood pizzeria was filled with the locals, not too many tourists. We loved it for that reason. We enjoyed an almost perfect steak frites and truffle ravioli, just divine on a rainy day after touring the cathedral. The accompanying Chianti was earthy and soulful, perfect match. Service was charming but not forced. Owner enjoyed the fact we loved our meal so much. Bathrooms clean, of course, this is not America ;-) Highly recommended!

This restaurant relies 100% on tourists. Most are French tourists, the balance other Europeans. Apparently no Americans in town. La Passacaille was packed this evening. Pourquoi? Because all of the good restaurants in Chartres are closed on Sunday. People need to eat and the location is exceptional. The weather and location combined made for the perfect evening out. The folks working here are very nice. It was a rough night for them and they were most kind considering. They have 5 star staff and a 5 staff location. Let's get into the reason I stopped by - food. CARPACCIO ITALIAN PLATE 18.20 Euros The slices of meat were too large, too thick and not cold enough. Simple carpaccio 101. The quality of the beef was good. But what they did to it was a faux pas. The salad surrounding it was not bad. The frites (chips) were soggy and greasy. The dressing was not bad. Note to self: When I want carpaccio go to a fantastic US Italian restaurant or go to Italy. The French just don't get carpaccio. enough said. COCKTAIL MOJITO 8.60 Euros Fortunately they made me a fabulous Mojito. This was a most pleasant surprise. Tons of muddled fresh mint, good pour of rum. I could definitely come back here on a hot summer afternoon and drink Mojitos. The problem here is Sundays. All of the top 10 dining spots in Chartres shut down on Sunday/Monday. Lesson learned. Next trip to Chartres? Arrive Tuesday, leave Thursday.

A little Italian place right in the center of town, very close to the cathedral. I think pizza was their specialty - and I can see why. We stopped in for lunch, but I would definitely try them for dinner as well. The servers and service was very friendly. If you order a side salad, it comes in a little Mason jar - which I thought was a great touch. I recommend if you order pizza, consider sharing, because portions are huge - although they offer boxes to take the remainder home (which we did gladly). Beer/wine is a good selection and prices were reasonable. They close shortly after lunch, but reopen for dinner in the evening.

Excellent pizza! The crust was light, thin and yummy. The sauce homemade and cheese was delish! Efficient table side service and great house wine. Good location near the Chathedrale. Indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend giving them a try...you won't be disappointed!

I went to this Italian place yesterday. Luckily, they were able to find a table for my friend and I without a reservation. We came because we had heard good things about their pizzas and wanted to try them. The restaurant seems average and the decor is not very stylish in any way. It is a nice relaxed place with no fuss. Do not go here for a romantic candle-lit dinner. But DO go if you have a craving for a delicious pizza. We shared the Al Carpaccio and the Mediterianne and especially the latter one was amazing. Really good taste. We had a Spritz cocktail with the pizza and it made for a perfect match. We paid 45 euros for the drinks and two pizzas.

I like this place very much. The owner is nice and speaks English well enough. They have nice pizzas, good pizzas and delicious desserts. They can make adjustments to pizzas for special diets. Good wine. Price is okay (for France).
