We came here because of the reviews. Very friendly and excellent service. Loved the Birria Tacos and the Verde Margarita. Table size guacamole was great! Popcorn margarita was not my favorite it was very sweet but a fun cool idea. Definitely will come back before we head back to the States. You will not regret the decision to eat here.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal and Margaritas at La Patrona the other night, service was excellent, the food was delicious as were the drinks. We were so full we barely had room for dessert so we shared that amongst the three of us and it was well worth it. Absolutely recommend this place. Thank you for a wonderful night!

This is probably my favourite Mexican restaurant in Brisbane. The food was absolutely delicious, the favourite was definitely the ceviche. The birria tacos were nice, and the addition of that spicy sauce was so good and something I haven’t had with birria tacos before. The ribs were also amazing, the marinade was unlike any other type of ribs I’d personally ever had. The prawn was nice but honestly not anything outstanding. The best part though was the service, they were incredibly friendly and attentive. They offered me a mini coat hanger to put my bag on, asked us if we would want to move tables to a nicer one when it became available. We had went for my boyfriend birthday and they had at the end surprised us with a free dessert and sung happy birthday.

It’s very delicious Mexico food. Plating looks very thoughtful. Highly recommend if you look for authentic Mexico food. For the main we ordered big share plate including steak, prawn, octopus, chicken, and special salad. Along with rice and tortillas. Everything was beautiful! Especially octopus. We agreed that I haven’t ate this beautiful well cooked and tender octopus for a long time! Thank you! Service is beautiful too!

Delicious mexican food! Wish I brought an extra stomach to try it all. The house guacamole was the tastiest I've ever had. My favourite dish was actually the octopus starter. The chicken tacos were delicious as well. I had the barramundi for mains and the fish was cooked well but the accompanying green sauce was too bitter and lacked depth in flavour. Would choose a different main next time or just order more starters. The spicy margarita is a top choice too!

I had the Barramundi, and it was really delicious. My friend had the prawns, and they were absolutely spectacular. We had the freshly made share guacamole as a starter. It was so refreshing and tasty, and they made it right at our table! We also tried the fish ceviche, and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was (I've never had it before). The service was great; they kept refilling our water glasses if they were low and were quite prompt with food and drinks. Please note, though, one bill at the end, so come with cash or a credit card and bank details for your friends.

During my time in Brisbane, I had heard a lot about this restaurant, so my expectations were high. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. With the exception of the host who assigned our table, the staff was friendly. We didn’t have a reservation, but we were given a table that, according to the host, was not reserved. The menu on their website (dining-in section) does not match the one they have in the restaurant. As a result, I had to change my order. The in-house menu had fewer options. I also felt that the staff was pressuring us to order from the moment we sat down. The tortillas for the tacos weren’t hot enough, which significantly affected their quality. As soon as we finished our main dishes, we were asked if we wanted to order anything else because the table had a reservation in five minutes. This meant we couldn’t try the desserts, and overall, we felt rushed and unable to fully enjoy the flavors of our meal due to the urgency to vacate the table. I understand that having a reservation is ideal. However, we agreed to take a less comfortable table under the condition that there was no upcoming reservation, so we wouldn’t feel pressured to leave. Considering the service, portions size and the quality of the dishes, I find the prices too high. They seem to be based more on the restaurant’s reputation than on the actual experience offered.

Really great night at La Patrona! Top notch service and quality food. Some of the other food reviewers here must have been in a different establishment! Burria tacos - nailed it! Guacamole prepard table side - perfect! Pork tacos - awesome! Milk flan - just delicious! The margaritas? Oh yeah!! Sign me up. I'll stay here all afternoon and until they throw me out! Keep on sending them. These margaritas are just the best. Tamarind, traditional, mango, Tommy's - they are all on the menu and prepared to perfection. So is the food. Hot, fast and delicious and the service it great. You can't ask for much more than that La Patrona has an extensive list of tequila and mezcal to chose from and all reasonably priced. Over all it's great value for food and drinks. Nice atmosphere. We are now returning patrons. One more Tecate and I'll be, closer to where I'll need to be. One Mexican beer between wish you you were here and wish you well 🙂 Highly recommended!
