Got my dog's cake here, ordered it 2-3 days in advance. They delivered on the specified desired colors I selected. Great paw details on the side of it. While there, I grabbed a couple extra treats as they had a variety to select from. Very solid for a first time experience online and in-store.

The entire staff is always super sweet and welcoming. Bubba always enjoys his treats the cupcakes are his favorite. They also have toys and other things for your pets! This is a business that looks out for the community and I will definitely continue supporting in the future.

I ordered the 4in Bento size for next day pick up, for my dogs birthday. He loved it, finished it completely and it didn’t get him sick.

Spent my doggies 2nd birthday here . It was fantastic and very fun , well worth the drive. The treats are very reasonably priced. We had a great time thank you

Such a cute dog bakery! It was our first time visiting and we absolutely loved it! Everyone is so welcoming and the little pup furniture available for the dogs is so cute. My pup is excited to try the treats! We will definitely be back ☺️

When I went the 1st time to order my tamales, they were not that friendly. However, when I went to pick them up, they were much more friendly and helpful. I even ordered churros & pan dulce. The puppies loved everything they've eaten from there

I ordered a lot of treats for the pups at my job to celebrate my senior dog last birthday so I wanted to make it special. and she personally delivered herself since it was close by. At the time my dog was with me 24/7 I couldn't leave him alone because he was so old. and for her to go out of her way to make sure the treats arrive safely and she even packaged them in small cute boxes for me since I was giving out goody bags and they were part of them. It goes to show how much she cares about the pups and their pet parents and how important the day is for them. She’s a great caring person I’m glad to support her business even though I ordered once but it was that one order that made the difference. Thank you for making my old man’s last birthday special for us!!! He passed away in June of 2024 and I miss him everyday. Here’s a video of him enjoying a treat before his big day. I didn't want to come on here and do this but it wouldn't be fair if it happened to someone else. So, I placed an order for a custom cake online 5 days before my pick up date. I sent in a picture for reference of what I wanted and since I didn't hear back I thought everything was fine. The day came to pick up the cake and when we get to the shop the cake still wasn't ready and we we're told that all they had to do is write the name. Which I found weird since the cake was supposed to be ready to go. I want to say we were waiting for maybe 20-25 mins and the cake still wasn't ready. I was trying to be patient but I already had a feeling something was wrong. When the cake was finally done the girl at the counter put the cake in a plastic bag and placed it on the counter and said your cake is ready and said thank you for waiting. At this point everything seemed off so before driving back home which was going to be over 1hr drive with LA traffic we checked the cake and it was nothing like what I ordered. At this point I was livid because she knew she was wrong and let me walked out the door with the wrong cake and it wasn't until we went back inside and confronted the owner that she began to apologize. She did give us a full refund for the custom cake we order and even offered us other doggy treats but all we took was the cake. This cake ment a lot because my baby girl was turning 16. I wanted to support a Latina that started from home and opened her own store front but she truly let me down.

I ordered a bandana for my dog. I don't live close, but I wanted to support. I emailed, called and left a voicemail, and emailed again regarding my order. I never heard anything back. I also never received a receipt of order in my email--but they did happily accept and take my money, which is unpleasant. In the end, after about a month of trying to get a hold of them, I had to ask my credit company to get in involved since they would not answer any of my emails or calls. I'm sure the store is great in-person, but if they cannot handle online orders or purchases, then it should not be available. It's wrong to take people's money without a digital receipt of purchase, and then go MIA and never respond to a customer via email and phone.

I really wanted to like and support this place as a Latina owned business, but unfortunately it is poorly managed and I cannot place my trust in a business like this when it comes to my dogs. I ordered a cake for my dogs and the store delivered the wrong cake and delivered it late. I initially let it go and then messaged the owner directly. She was extremely unprofessional, failing to take any ownership whatsoever for the mistake and blaming ME. This made me even more concerned about this establishment so I decided to write this review to warn others. Based on reviews below, it seems my experience is not unique. Many people have experienced issues with cakes being late or simply not up to par. Some people comment about their dogs getting sick from the bakery's products. I can see how this could happen when the business is so poorly run. I am not taking any chances when it comes to my dogs so I will not be returning and I suggest you think twice before you shop here. Edit: The business owner is alleging "false statements" regarding the pick up time. Perhaps she should check in with her staff who picked up my phone call at 4:46pm on Friday and assured me the cake would be ready as early as 10:30am on Sunday. This is yet another example of the poor management of this business.

My Vinny loved it here, great spot to bring your furr babies! We brought our doggie here for his birthday to enjoy some treats and check out the spot! They have an awesome variety of doggy treats, clothing, sweets, and beverages! They also make amazing birthday cakes. The spot is well maintained and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly, attentive, and polite. We love it here and so did Vinny! We'll definitely be back and tell family and friends.

Such a cute place! The front parking is a small lot but there is a bigger lot right next to it and street parking. Going inside it was super cute they seem to have an event going on. It's my Dog's birthday coming up so I wanted to stop by and see what goodies they have. I bought about 3 treats and this cute "Dog Beer" which is just bone broth I was told. The price is really good. All items {4 total} came out to $15ish dollars. My dog is usually super sensitive to treats so I gave him one immediately so if he needed to use the restroom or react I was able to monitor him for the rest of the evening. But he was good! They only use a few ingredients and I can't wait to give my dog his cupcake on his birthday with a nice cold one to enjoy

A Ruff life.. is said to be a dogs life. But after you see this, I'm not so sure. Went out to LA for a trip and was searching for something to bring my pups back. To cheer them up right. We found out about this location called LA Pawnaderia. For non spanish speakers PANADERIA is a bakery. It's located down in Downey, in a small strip shop. They have parking outside. So it's a small cute shop, I looked up the site they host pawties for the furry homies. And they make special cakes and of course treats. The treats that they had that day were, Bone broth beers, pawndulce, puercito cookies, masa pawn, and some other baked goods. I love my dogs so yeah couldn't feel guilty about taking them there own box. The staff were dope, friendly answered any questions about the goods. Buy them a few, poor fury fools need them.

Cute small business offering mostly peanut butter based dog treats. Love the concept of a panadería for dogs. They also sell various things like leashes, collars, bandanas, and dog toys. If you bring your pup, there is also a small play area inside. Came here specifically to support a Latino owned small business that is also investing money back into its community. The activism this little shop has done during these most difficult times has not gone unnoticed. Happy to spend my money in places like this. I drove from Ktown just to support, will be back soon.

Coming all the way from Burbank to check this place out, the store is smaller comapred on how the photos on their Instagram. Parking is very limited and it is on a very busy street. Contrary to several bad reviews for their customer service, the staff who helped us was very friendly and helpful. We got our dogs couple of treats, the price for a concha is actually above average. Our dogs loved them and had no problems with them. They used coconut flour.

Love this spot! Picked up some conchas and mazipawn for my sister's pups because I was going to doggysit for a couple days and you know AuntieTime = TreatTime!!! They loved the treats so much and I had so much fun shopping here! So many fun treats and cute items. Cat lovers do not despair, they have treats for felines too! So much yumminess for fur babies! The baked treats can be refrigerated to last almost two weeks, but your furry friends won't let it last that long if they have their way. Another plus to refrigeration, treats are easy to slice and less likely to crumble if slightly chilled... but crumbs never hurt nobody and they taste just as good so no worries there! I also sent over a Mazapawn to a neighbor and her pup loved it! The verdict is in... La Pawnaderia gets a paws up review!!!

Such an amazing experience! They were able to create a quick birthday cake for my pup and I was able to buy some cute snacks. They sell clothes and other goodies. There aren't many clothing options for bigger dogs, but the small ones have a lot. Service was sweet!

Have been a customer of La Pawnaderia prior to her opening her shop and so proud to see how far she's come and so well deserved. She gave our furbabies a local goodie shop.. Found this adorable pet cafe and shop in Downey and had to get some treats for my pups! Went inside and they had a really cute display with all of their options which were all coconut flour, egg, and peanut butter or peanut based. They also offer cakes you can get for your fur baby's birthday which I thought was super sweet! There is a very tiny parking lot in front but don't let that deter you, service was friendly and fast.

By far the best dog bakery there is! I love the concept, what they stand for and that it is Latino owned! I initially ran across them on instagram about a year ago and I have not left anywhere else since. We drove out there last week for my dogs 5th birthday to get him some doggy birthday treats. I love the variety of options they always have. We got 2 doggy bones "fuck ice" , a Pawcifico (doggy beer), a concha and a birthday cupcake, and a doggy cup noodles. I can safely say by my dogs reaction and excitement he gives it a 100000/10. Def recommend anyone wanting to treat the pups on a special occasion or an anytime treat to try them out. Paw-nadería in Downey is an absolute gem! They have the BEST pet treats fresh, adorable, and made with so much love. I especially love their super cute bread-shaped treats for our fur babies... they look almost too cute to eat! They also offer CBD treats, which have been a wonderful option for calming my pup when needed The shop is warm, welcoming, and full of charm, you can tell they truly care about our pets' happiness and health. Highly recommend to any pet parent looking for something special and wholesome!

I was on the way to get some food and passed by this establishment which I never heard of but had to get my 4 legged buddy some treats for Vday. Very clean interior and a wide variety of treats, toys, decorations for cakes, and a wide open space for the doggos to roam around. Ended up leaving with 3 desserts and some salmon flakes to use as a topper on food. Service was great as I asked about all the ingredients in each of the items for sale. I'll be back for sure.

I saw it on social media and looked like a place I wanted to support. Took my pups there and got a box with every pastry X 2, my favorite ones visually conchas and churros , my dogs went nuts for them, i sat in one of their cute areas and fed my pups , made a sweet time with my dogs there but ... Customer service felt cold , kinda felt uncomfortable, easy to improve. Hope to go back in the future, those churros are cutest, reasonably priced too !

I used La Pawnaderia for my dog's first birthday. The staff is awesome and more importantly my dogs all loved the cake! I highly recommend this place for getting a doggie cake, or for just stopping by to get your furry friend some yummy treats or a cute outfit.

What a nice treat for our extended fur/no fur family babies! What a special treat to have a local place with great service and decor. Won't know if the treats are tasty yet until Santa puts them under Christmas tree. Fingers crossed.... I'm sure they will be devoured.

I took my dog along with me for my dentist appointment and realized there was this new dog bakery in Downey that I've seen hyped all over social media!! We made a pitstop to petco for a beach ball (we were going to the dog beach after)! Then headed over to LA Pawnaderia! This place is located right where the Anarchy Library is! I hung out at the Anarchy Library A LOT as a youngin'. Anyways, there is a good amount of parking. I showed up around 10:50am and they had just opened so the parking was ample. You can't miss it, the sign is there with cute pastries painted at the storefront! We walked in a saw a cute little set up with toys, cup o' noodles takes for dog broth, and so many other cute items!! My Golden Retriever, Kealoha, took to the shop right away. We were greeted by an employee along with a dog named Dulce (she's behind a fence set up). They had doggy beer, cute holiday bandanas, fresh pastries, and such an abundant space. I loved their holiday bandanas, sizing availability, and prices! The gal, I feel so bad for not getting her name, knew so much about the baked goods too! I purchased a beautiful green and gold holiday bandana and a paw-ncito pet treat with yogurt!! I definitely want to bring Kealoha back and try more of the items.

Dogs were not fans of their cakes. The filling of cake was thick and super gooey. They had diarrhea after having a pice of cake. Sad wanted to love the place.

I arrived 15 min early and had to wait for my cake to be done, understandably. The shop had really cute dogs treats and other items on display. Cashier was very nice. As for the cake: I've ordered cakes from here before and never had a problem as they were all beautiful. Unfortunately, this last cake was not up to the usual standards and oddly enough, was the most expensive from the cakes I have gotten from here. My issue is with the messy and crooked writing.

Absolutely terrible product, quality and customer service. The baked items are clearly displayed and reused from days they don't sell. I also saw several people with their dogs letting them poop nearby and walking away. I would also say be wary of any reviews that are newer since the business is asking people to fake 5 star yelp reviews for them.

The best dog bakery! We've been to multiple dog parties where the cake and treats were from La Pawnaderia and they've all been SO good! They look great and my dog loves them...her favorite are the churros!!! What I like the best is that they don't give her tummy issues like other cakes/treats do. My dog's birthday is in July and I'll be placing our first other with them and we can't wait!

Teddy loves La Pawnaderia he's been a fan ever since he tried it and when I say he is the pickiest dog I am not joking about it. All his friends can vouch for this comment! . But he loves everything from here from their conchas, mazapawn, sopes, pawmales and cakes. He loves it all We have always had a good time here and will keep coming back for more. If your pup hasn't tried it, it's definitely a must !

This place is definitely a must go to if you are a dog owner/lover/parent. It is beautifully decorated, it feels like a dog Disneyland treats, accessories, cakes, and opportunities for a photo sessions with your pup/dog. We ordered my weenie dog's birthday cake last week and he loved it. Will definitely be returning!

Friendly staff and most importantly the treats are very much enjoyed by my pup. I've tried the concha, mazapawn and ice cream all get a 10/10. Let's just say I could make my pup do a back flip when that little white box comes out of the fridge.

First time At their shop. It is so cute! They have clothing items, Knick knacks, collars etc and of course the dog treats. We bought the sample box for 28.00 and our pup loved them. We also bought her a harness and although it was super cute the buckle broke on the 1st day

my pup loves his birthday cake and treats from this new dog bakery place that we spotted in our neck of the woods. Glad that I don't have to drive to Anaheim Hills to buy his usual birthday cake from JackBoy Bakery. La Pawnaderia has good dog treats but the parking to get to the place is bad, and the inside of the bakery could do better as far as cleanliness, and more dog treat selection and quantity. So overall rating for food, ambiance, cleanliness and parking is a 3.

Cakes are over priced, I have ordered from a previous shop that makes dog cakes and I paid more here for the cake and it was smaller. Also my cake was all pink but had some blue lines in it which I did not think looked good! I didn't ask for that! Also the writing messy and not worth what I paid. Will not be coming back.

We LOVE La Pawnaderia. We have been customers since before the store front opened and the service has always been amazing! To start I went to go pick up a dog cake for my cousin who had placed a order early in the morning it was gonna be a rush order so she paid extra I got there at the time the cake was suppose to be ready and the girl told me that she doesn't even think they made the cake and that it wasn't ready so that I had to wait a extra 10 min I then waited the 10 min and bought treats for my dogs and now that I'm looking at them they have mold all over them

Found this place on Instagram and drove over an hour to come here. I was really excited. Came with my dog because I wanted him to take pictures. My plan was to promote this business on our instagram. Unfortunately the lady who worked there was rude and I felt rushed to leave. On the bright side, my dog did enjoy their treats. The concept was amazing but the energy was not. I want to give this place a second chance, but I am afraid of the poor customer service.

A friend purchased a cookie and a concha for my dog on Friday. She was told to store them in the refrigerator so I did as soon as I received them. I gave my dog half of the cookie on Friday, the other half of the cookie yesterday (Saturday) and half of the concha this morning (Sunday) and my dog is now having explosive diarrhea this evening. He has no allergies and has never had a problem with other baked goods before, purchased or homemade. I'm not sure if it's a certain ingredient that doesn't agree with him, but he definitely has an upset stomach after eating these items.

This place is so cute and the perfect place to get toys, treats, and accessories for your pets. They have a bunch of baked goods for your furry friends. I bought conchas, puerquitos, and maza-paw-nes for my dogs. One of them is a picky eater, but he gobbled up everything. You can tell they make the stuff fresh because the treat wasn't hard as a rock like the ones in the big box stores - one of them smelled like peanut butter. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to coming back.

I had my pups birthday cake made by Pawnaderia and he devoured it! And the Pawcifico was just too cute to not include in his celebration. Their churro treats are both my pups favorite! Definitely a must when I'm in the areas. I always recommend this place to my pet people.

I ordered my husky's first birthday cake here. As you can see, he loved it and told me it was 10/10!!!! I recently took on another husky and will be buying his first bday cake here as well. I can't rave about this bakery enough!

We LOVE everything about this unique and special dog bakery. Thanks to Yelp we found this store to pick up some special treats to celebrate our senior dog's bday. All the merchandise and baked goods are Mexican themed and truly one of a kind. We loaded up on goodies and the service is warm and welcoming. Family owned and operated. We'll be back and we're telling all of our dog loving friends about it.
