The best fish and seafood in all Cape Town. Very big portions and delicious fish. One of the best I have ever eaten in my life! Also great atmosphere and friendly staff. You should try sole and grilled calamari plate plus they have amazing salads. Truly recommend!

Great option for an upmarket lunch or dinner, overlooking the ocean on Seapoint. We ordered a salad that we shared with 8 people as an easy starter. The risotto primavera was delicious as a main. Extensive wine list. Desserts are a generous portion and can be shared, with a great selection. Good service. I would recommend La Perla.

A classic in Sea Point! Still great outdoor seating and friendly service. The decor is a bit dated and needs a refresh. Unfortunately, the quality of the food is not quite right for the price: pasta and seafood are still fresh, but the dishes, especially the sauces, are no longer cooked to perfection. Best to enjoy the terrace outside when the weather is nice and have a drink. You can eat better in Cape Town.

Truly a one star experience. Upon arriving we were almost refused a table outside because the hostess assumed that we were only there for drinks, a strange assumption made twice after that by other staff as well. The menus are printed on cheap yellow and blue paper, hard to read and more suited to a food truck than a premium restaurant. We moved inside shortly after being seated outside only to be seated at a table with a dirty white tablecloth with stains left by previous patrons. There was also a sharp toilet cleaner chemical smell inside and this was not near the bathroom. The line fish wasn't bad but definitely overpriced, and you are charged extra for any sides (chips etc). The waiter convinced us to order a salad by naming some of the ingredients which included avo and feta. When we later inspected the bill more closely we noticed that these were added as extras and we were charged for it despite not ordering any extras for the salad. Dishonorable mention: Pepper sauce and other sauces which you would order with a steak were R100 each. Avoid this restaurant unless you are keen on a sub-par dining experience at premium prices.

Worst service! I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and my boyfriend decided to spoil me the weekend after Valentines. From the get go we waited forever for a waiter and menu, then waited 30min for drinks and more than an hour for our mains. Our waiter never checked up on us once, and we saw him check up on many other (older) tables, offering them all complimentary bread. We only received our bread 1.5hrs after arriving (having asked why we didn’t receive any), and at the same time as our mains arrived. We didn’t have any cutlery or serviettes at that point. The food was extremely average for the price. After waiting another 20 min for the bill, the waiter brought it to us but couldn’t even look at us while handing it to us, he was chatting to someone else behind us while handing us the bill. Most shocking service I’ve received in Cape Town and very disappointing considering the prices! Will not be returning.

I am really sad to write this review because I had very high expectations. I have always wanted to try the food so we booked for Valentine’s Day and my husband and I were very disappointed. The food lacked flavour - the calamari was not too bad but the mains had no salt and for us, we found the portions extremely small for the price point. The restaurant is in a great location but I feel they need an upgrade. There was also a cockroach on someone’s seat infront of us and crawling on the tree next to us. We were at tang the night before and paid less for a 10/10 experience. Very disappointed and wouldn’t return.
