Great local spot near our Airbnb Louis was our server, he is super friendly and gracious Breakfast was delicious I ordered a croissant but was told there were none left, i was disappointed for a moment,.... they brought out some sliced Baguette and all was good

Good spot for watching the humans. Copped a beer. Old mate challenged me saying 15 euro minimum on card payment. I called his bluff and downed 2 schooners. Ready for the Picasso museum.

The wines were not good enough but the pizzas were deliciously prepared. Unfortunately, the edges of one of them were slightly burnt.

Rude service. Server didn't bother to take orders or even check if we wanted to eat something and just removed everything from the table, guessing we were just there to sit. When we wanted the cutlery back, we just were met with rudeness again. Same with ordering at the bar. Card terminal was thrown into our faces. Apparently self-service but nowhere indicated. Walked past the place many times and were super excited to try it out, but very disappointed now. Not returning.

Never felt so disrespected before. Service (guy with tattoo on his neck) was super rude and didn’t even bother to take our orders or even ask before aggressively removing everything from the table. We asked for everything back as we just ordered food at the bar and we were just met with an eye roll. When picking up our order, supposedly based on our looks, server didn’t expect us having had ordered something and just mockingly denied as he didn’t want to respond or give out our order. Overly disappointed with this experience.

The area is very nice and the cafe would be perfect for a nice stop and brunch, unfortunately the service is terrible. The waiter was rude for no reason multiple times. We smiled at her at all the time while she was annoyed to take our order and serve us. We have waited 1 hour for some croque monsieur that arrived cold. On top of it, you need around 35 eur per person to have a simple brunch. The hygiene of the cafe is also questionable. Not worth it at all.

Google
Possibly the worst restaurant experience of my life. Restaurant is smelly inside - like old beer and mildew. Staff are completely disorganised — nice they have a casual approach to work, but this was way too casual. We sat inside and evidently were forgotten about, but I noticed plenty of other coming up to the counter to ask if it was table service or not. Overpriced. Plenty of other places to go.

Google
The service was outrageous. The table was dirty from the previous customers(with glasses, ash from the ashtray, rests of food)...and they bring our pizzas WITHOUT cleaning the table!! They set our pizzas on top of all the dirt! And when we complained, the waiter started to shout at us ! For the first time in our lives, we left the food on the table and left the place. These people are the reason why Paris is gaining a strong reputation of an unfriendly city.

Yelp
Wow busy busy busy all day! I can see why it's a great place! Awesome music and great staff! Food is great especially for hangovers!!

Yelp
Like others have mentioned, this place did feel overpriced. We did not receive a warm welcome from the host. Also somehow they lost our ticket so we sat there for an hour while people arriving much later than us were getting their food before us. Waiter later apologized but didn't comp our meal or anything above and beyond. Food was average. Plenty of other cafes in Paris so I wouldn't go out of my way for this one.

Yelp
Great place to grab a drink if you're traveling alone. The inside has a lot of individual bar seating so you don't feel at all out of place (for those of us Americans who never eat/drink alone). People watching is solid. Music was pretty good. Like the other reviews, I concur that there are a lot of hipsters. But... it's a pretty good-looking crowd. So there's that.

Yelp
Great service. Great drinks. Just popped in but the pizzas look incredible. May need to change our dinner plans!

Yelp
La Perle has become very popular with those who like to see and be seen. Many models, actors, fashionistas, and lookers come here in the early evening for drinks and appetizers. Enjoy the hot and cold appetizers, which are served and charged as miam miam--which is much like tapas bars do. This costs: Ca coute 1 euro le miam miam. Appetizers are DELICIOUS and consist of the following: cold salmon, potatoes with chives basil and ricotta cheese, and various cheeses. Also hot appetizers such as parma ham with tomato confiture & mushrooms stuffed with tomatoes. Also a sweet addition: nutella (hazelnuts & chocolate spread) on a belgian waffle. During the day for un cafe et croissant or in the afternoon for un sandwichor in the early evening for appetizers and drinksyou can't beat this fun and fashionable address in the Marais. Chin Chin! Yelp
Beautiful location close to Picasso museum. Staff are friendly. Otherwise nothing much good about this place. Coffee is disgusting. Food in overpriced and under-inspiring! Very poor quality for France cuisine.

Yelp
Do you like hipsters? You do? Are you looking for a quick drink or a leisurely afternoon on the curbside with a few friends? Perfect. To La Perle! Star 1: How was the service and atmosphere? On one of the hotter corners of the 3rd, La Perle is the definition of a place to see and be seen. As a result, the service isn't the fastest nor the friendliest, but the crowd certainly does throw out an interesting vibe that's great fun to kill an afternoon with. No complaints. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? €8 ain't cheap for a beer, let alone a crappy Heineken. I know they do it because they can, but I wish they didn't. No Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? Let's be honest - you're not at La Perle for the food by any stretch of the imagination, and I can't even speak to the quality, but from what I saw the small dishes looked decent. Single Star Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? It's here that I would typically condemn La Perle to the depths of 2-stardom, but my second experience at La Perle was special enough to recommend the venue for one strong reason - these hipsters are just so damn friendly. My French is absolutely atrocious, but while chatting with a friend on a Sunday evening I found myself striking up conversation with some friendly locals. 15 minutes later I'm in the backseat of a droptop BMW blazing through the streets of Paris at 2 in the morning. It's an experience I won't soon forget, and for that reason I can't not associate and thus recommend La Perle when it comes to Paris. It may not be perfect, but it attracts a solid clientele. Star Granted.

Yelp
THE place to be and be seen, but nothing extraordinary about this place, except that it is one of the hippest cafés and yet has the prices of a regular corner/ no frills café. (Too) crowded most times. TIP: at night, head on over to Le Connétable further down the street after 2am and let adventures begin.

Yelp
Marais neighborhood trendy spot. Good for fresh pressed juice and eggs. If your short on time, be sure to sit and order at the counter. At night the scene is trendy. Nothing spectacular, but a solid place to meet up and feel like a local.

Yelp
Quite a good corner for people watching but that's about it. Over priced drinks, pretentious people and filled with young crowd who thinks they're the hippiest hipsters in the world. The bartender didn't even know how to make a mojito for God's sake. Oh, and did I mention how overpriced everything is. Yep.

Yelp
Best scrambled eggs I've ever had!! The eggs with sausage were absolutely amazing! Every morning after that I woke up craving them. So we went back again, but it was around noon and they didn't have any more sausage. So I got the eggs with bacon and they were also amazing! The fresh squeezed orange juice and cappuccinos were also great! Pancakes were pretty good, but I highly recommend the eggs with sausage. Must go in the morning to get them.

Yelp
La Perle is a very Bohemian style, typically Parisian place. The food was pretty good, although the fare was just typical bar food. The best time to go is on a weekend night. Grab a carafe of rose (10+ euros) and just start people watching. Hipsters, models, actors (I've seen a couple!), crazies, very few foreigners. This mix makes for an awesome evening. People may seem snobby and rude, but once you get them talking, you'll never stop laughing. I always go to La Perle with my bgf (best gay friend) because there's something for everyone!!!

Yelp
Hmmm surprised this was on coffee/tea. I go for drinks at night- fairly cheap and the crowd is good (a bit too international but whatever, "plugged in" or some would say hipsters) and its constantly crowded on the weekends with a reasonable amount on weekday nights. You can get better wine for around the same prices at other bars in the area, but La Perle is a bit of a hotspot regardless of it's lackluster appearance so whatever you feel like doing.

Yelp
Semi-decent spot, average decor, OK drink prices for the marais. The location is its biggest selling point. The service is pretty atrocious, even for France. You think standing at the bar for ten minutes will earn you the right to order a drink? the bartender seems to say as he sneeringly pours himself a cup of coffee. Think again.

Yelp
La Perle (best known as 'that bar' where Galliano had his anti-Semitic meltdown) is one of those effortlessly trendy places. It has become a meeting spot for fashion lovers who enjoy sipping on very reasonably priced wine surrounded by the bar's shabby-chic decor. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the cheap drinks but I was tempted to give it only 3 because of the poorly maintained restrooms. The last time I was there the smell was overwhelming... worst than the metro!!

Yelp

Yelp
This is THE place to be seen in Paris. Youngsters pour out onto the pavement and cobbled streets sipping their wines and beers chatting the night away. It stays open til quite late, 2 am or thereabouts and is also open all day serving coffee and snacks like any other cafe.

Julia A.

Yelp
Went here for the first (and last) time last summer with my boyfriend. He had been to La Perle before and knew that the service wasn't great, but this was crazy. The place was pretty crowded, but since there was no one at the bar, we were hoping to get our drinks soon. Wrong. First we were completely ignored by the bartender girls, then when we asked the man behind the bar (le patron?) for white wine, we were simply told that we 'couldn't get wine anymore'. No smile, no bonsoir, no explanation. Appalled by the rudeness of the staff, we walked out and... had a great time in another bar just one block away!
