My dad took the 1969 photo while we were on holiday in St Tropez in 1969. Both restaurants are still there today!
The food was great and the service and atmosphere were excellent as you’d expect. It’s not cheap, but the starters are recommended as ‘for sharing’ and there are main courses that don’t break the bank. The desserts looked amazing, but we didn’t have one.

We walked past this during lunch time and the setting was so beautiful that we stopped to see if we could make a reservation for dinner that night. Luckily, they were able to accommodate us so we returned and had a lovely meal. It’s on a busy but quiet street with a beautiful view of the sea. We had the Moules Pesquière and the sardines for appetizers. The muscles were fresh and delicious. I had the dorado for my main dish and it too was delicious. We finished by splitting the cream brûlée for dessert which was tasty. The service was good, and we even enjoyed the closely placed tables and spoke to our dining neighbors.

Overall, our dining experience was nice. We particularly enjoyed the mussels, calamari, and sardines. The mussels were among the best we've had this summer, with a very good taste.
However, the fries were too dry and a bit of a letdown. The biggest disappointment was the steak. Despite asking for it to be medium rare, it arrived too well done and chewy. The hot sauce poured all over the meat may have contributed to this issue. At around €35, it was unfortunate that the person from our group couldn't eat it due to the texture.
There was also a strange smell coming from the bush next to the tables, which was quite unpleasant.
We hope the restaurant can address these issues for future guests.

We got lucky since we got there before the lunch rush but I recommend making a reservation. The food was good but the view was even better. Very nice vibe, service was nice even when it was very busy.

Was thoroughly enjoying the meal until the waiter dropped 10 glasses on the ground around us and didn’t apologize. Then another waiter started kicking the glass near us like it was a football pitch. The food was good though and fresh

I would have given zero stars if possible. We arrived at this restaurant at 11:25 to eat there again. Everytime in the last 5 years if visiting we enjoyed the actually good food. But this time we were treated like beggars. We were told the restaurant was closed so we were waited outside. 5 minutes later, the waiter seated two different tables even though he saw us waiting. When we asked about that and wanted to sit down as well, he told us that they were completely booked and no seats available for us.
I don't know if that happened because we spoke German or if we had a non-white person in our group or just out of spite but anyway we felt utterly disrespected here. We won't ever come again to this place.

I love this place although I’m not sure I want to recommend it as I don’t want it getting any busier! The food is delicious and the staff lovely. A great place to get away from the bustle in St Tropez

What a bummer. It came highly recommended by our new friend at a nearby art studio. Agonized about the feedback here for Maryanne, but I think it’s worthwhile. The host just rubbed us the wrong way, dismissive and overly snobby to my wife. Bad vibes and we abandoned, as it would have been pointless and we were unwelcome.
