A great place to stay in Uptown Sedona for a reasonable price. It gives you great walking access to downtown Sedona where you will find all kinds of shops and restaurants. Service was excellent with great communication. The check-in staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and he provided me with lots of tips for hiking and scenic drives. My vehicle had a dedicated parking spot which was a relief as parking can be very hard to find. My room was very clean and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend this place if you are traveling to Sedona!

Google
Rooms are spacious, quiet and clean. Lots of windows and a patio to view the fall leaves turning and the sun rising over the mesas. Check-in staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They happily provided us with lots of tips for hiking and scenic drives. The area is super walkable with lots of restaurants and shops. Would highly recommend staying here.

Google
Extremely disappointed in these accommodations for the price.||Everything needs refreshed, chipped paint everywhere. Dirty woodwork, blinds and windowsills, all the furniture on the back patio was filthy. No one in the office all afternoon and evening, no access to ice or anyone to ask for additional towels, etc., ||Bare minimum for furnishings and everything is old and worn. Exposed cables and conduit all over the room. Window a/c, ancient heater.

The owners were extremely kind. They made us feel at home. The room was perfect with a lovely view. We were a short walk away from all the shops and restaurants. If we’re ever blessed to be nearby, this is where we will be staying.

Google
Fabulous location and easy parking near each unit. Beautiful views. It's an older building without many frills, including no daily room service and cleaning. (But, I've never understood why people want strangers coming in their rooms to clean and change sheets and towels daily anyway. Waste of water if you ask me.) Barry check me in and was very polite and humorous. Room temperature was wonderful. It's nice to have a mini fridge and microwave and sink in the room. I will definitely stay here again!

Google
We had a great experience at La Petite Sedona. Becky and Barry are super welcoming and helpful. They provided accurate and useful info about what to expect in the hotel and navigating Sedona. The location is fantastic, very close to the shops and restaurants of Uptown Sedona. I went for a run north of town and was out in the natural beauty of Sedona within seconds. We stayed in a Family room, and it provided good space and a bit more privacy than the usual double-queen room due to the partial wall between the two beds. Free parking, great view, nice outdoor seating area overlooking the rocks. Mini fridge was good sized, not too mini. Clean and nicely decorated. We would stay here again. It felt good to support local, independent proprietors, Becky & Barry, who are working hard to provide good service and a positive experience.

Google
Absolutely loved our two room suite. Beds were comfortable. I was impressed how large our two bedrooms were as the website pictures don't do it justice. Convenient location to all the shops as they are within walking distance. The owners were gracious and very helpful, especially with our late check-in. Your vehicle has a dedicated parking spot which was a relief as parking can be very hard to find. The views out the back are just gorgeous. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
We love the owners Barry was fantastic. He was personable and friendly and very helpful. This is a secret hideaway in Sedona. We hope people realize this is the best place to stay in Sedona. Close to everything and we love the accommodations. Wonderful we will be back!

Yelp
Amazing service, clean and quiet what else can you ask for!? Becky was amazing and already waiting for us when we walked in! Love the atmosphere and the warm welcome and safe travels text! Love people that take the time to thank you on a personal level! We will be back to stay again!

Yelp
I wish I could give this place 100 stars. Made a reservation for my boyfriend and dog on Jan 15-17 but ended up having to reschedule and Becky was so helpful in helping me do so. She texted me regarding late check in protocols on the day of our trip and told us exactly how to find our room and how they were handling covid regulations with check ins. We arrived around 8:30 and she met us outside in the cold rain and I'm assuming it's her husband Barry I believe was super knowledgeable and helpful to us while unloading the car. They gave us good recommendations on restaurants and places to see while in town. They told us the view from our room was stunning but that was an understatement! I loved staying here and will definitely come here again and recommend this hotel/inn to anyone going to Sedona! Pic below is of our view from our room!

Yelp
We came to Sedona on a whim and it was our first time visiting. When we arrived we knew we had to find lodging for our visit. After stopping at the visitors center for some recommendations we spent a few minutes poring over websites, reading reviews and trying to find an economical and centrally located room. As you may know, staying anywhere near the heart of Sedona costs a pretty penny. That is why we were surprised to find affordable rates at La Petite Sedona. We called and were warmly greeted by Becky (one of the owners) and she was able to get us a room for our stay. We quickly went to their office and met Becky and Barry (the owners). They were warm and welcoming and were a wealth of information on places to visit, restaurants to dine at, and local attractions to fill our days in Sedona. It was like visiting an old friend rather than being a customer at a business. We went to our room and were pleasantly surprised on how clean and modern it was. There is even a wonderful back patio with couches and chairs where you can sit and watch the sun rise and set on the mountain behind the hotel. It is just what a visiting couple needs to recharge before the next days adventures. They have dedicated convenient parking that even accommodated our minivan. The hotel is so centrally located, we didn't need to drive it to get to dining or local attractions in town. By far this is our best find during our month long adventure across the south west. We will be back and next time we plan on staying longer.

Yelp
I don't know why the reviews are so poor for this place. My family and I loved it. We enjoyed our stay - it was the perfect amount of space for 4 of us. Clean towels and toiletries - ample space. The balcony was so cute and had a nice view of the mountains and trees. We grilled and had a relaxing dinner on the balcony during our stay - it was kinda noisy with the cars, but other than that it was a great spot to lounge, read, eat and connect. Loved how it was a walking distance from the downtown shops and restaurants too. Super convenient! I'd definitely come again. One downside was we expected to have easy access to the creek, but the only way down seemed treacherous with a rope and we didn't think our 4 yr old and little dog could handle it.

Yelp
Sedona is Beautiful. After driving through the gorgeous highway we landed at this dive. I thought I would die! If you like staying in a ditch facing old cars, this is your place. We DID not stay, cancelled while still in ditch. Lost key under seat in car, and they wanted to charge me $250! I became so upset and SHE Zfinally conceeded and asked up to leave. GLADLY departed. Nothing enduring about this place. Sorry!

Melissa C.

Yelp
If you can get into this quaint and clean little place with amazing views and quiet rooms, do it! We have stayed at over 12 hotels in the Sedona Area that are $150 and below, and this was the only place that was welcoming, friendly, quiet, great view, and it is right in town! I honestly cannot recommend it enough. We actually started staying in Cottonwood because the Sedona Hotels were so old, dirty and on the noisy road . Then we found this little Gem. The owners are so friendly and could not have been more helpful in making sure we were comfortable and had all we needed. WOW!

Grace R.

Yelp
It had all we needed, reasonably priced, clean rooms, dedicated parking, hot water, wifi, quiet, able to walk in down town Sedona (some restaurants and shopping). The AC unit could be loud. The office was staffed 3pm to 7pm but I felt like if I needed anything I could have called. If you want to go to the "major" trails you needed to drive ... parking in Sedona or at trails can be difficult (or uber). To get to West Sedona, Cottonwood, Jerome you needed to cross through Sedona which can be a drag.

Rebekah L.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this place! As many other reviewers have said, the customer service was fantastic. The owners are extremely sweet and offered plenty of suggestions for places to eat and places to hike. They know the best hidden gems of Sedona. They were great, not like the autopiloted receptionist/staff you get from the big chain hotels. The rooms were very clean. It has a bed and breakfast type of feel to it. Don't expect much of a Mountain View as there are trees in the back blocking it. But it was an amazing place to stay and I will definitely be booking this place when we return.

Kyle M.

Yelp
Exactly what my wife and I were looking for, for a quick weekend trip to Sedona Az. We like to keep things simple, we don't spend a lot of time in hotel rooms we just need a safe clean place to get shut eye. This was the perfect option and the owner made us feel right at home the second we walked in the door. I highly recommend this hotel

Yelp
DON'T STAY HERE!! All BAD O stars violation of code no smoke detectors in room killed over 10 spiders in room best one was the morning spider as big as my palm that my boyfriend had to kill in the restroom on my white towel. wtf. little black things in the white sheets that look reused. said they will email us because of the spider and the black mirrors for our money back. Nothing. no response. Don't waste your money! Went up for my one year anniversary to have a magical time. The room was a complete disaster. Everything looks better in the pictures was not expecting the room to look like what it did. They have recently remodeled needs more work in the room i stayed. The hotel decided to leave in mirrors that have black magic all covered in them. Sedona such a magical place none of the Blackmagic needs to be there in the rooms. Black spots on mirrors is black magic stayed in room 22 which is also a magical number. We were looking forward to have a magical time. But this place ruined my one year anniversary. And the hotel just look the other way when we discussed our problems. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE I even talked to the owner. When I told him about the black magic mirrors it was like he already knew.

Yelp
The Petite Sedona is a small hotel walking distance to town. The beautiful Red Rock formations could be seen from my window. The owners are a very helpful and charming couple. They are knowledgeable and love to help their guests. I would recommend this as a great hotel to explore Sedona and Northern Arizona.

Yelp
This place was a great find! We were in Sedona for a quick weekend wedding and didn't want to spend a ridiculous amount on a hotel after already spending a ton on our plane fare. When we arrived at the Inn, Becky greeted us and was super friendly and laid back. She gave us a little background about where we should visit while we were there. The room was a little bungalow, very cute and tucked away toward the back so we had privacy. They also had a parking spot reserved for us. The location is great because it's right on the main strip, but toward the end. Easy to walk to all the shops and restaurants. The room was small (we didn't need anything extravagant) but very clean. Becky gave me her cell # in case I needed anything during our stay. I thought that was really nice and an added personal touch. Highly recommend this place if you are travelling to Sedona!

Yelp
This hotel is a bit too toasty owing to its fibro walls. Its a bit old, but clean and fits the budget. The suburban-ness of Flagstaff and then desert gives way to a stunning lush forested gorge, lined with stunning rock formations. Paddy takes a dip in the creek, and gets a bunch of leeches in his underwear. He's trying to tell us that its lovely in. It's a beautiful location, but no one else is going in. After going for a walk in the gorge, we drive on to Sedona, and another series of beautiful rock formations, which glow red and sandy gold at sunset. It's like seeing a Grand Canyon wall up close, with its stratifications, topped with Road Runner show style rock mountain formations.

Monica M.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much from outside, but this is a cheep amazing little jem sitting just outside downtown Sedona. The rooms are spacious and cozy with a beautiful view of the mountains. There is a great back porch where you can watch the sunrise. We walked right downtown to get drinks and dinner. Also you can park your car right outside your room. We grabbed a room last minute and we were blown away with La Petite! Definitely would recommend for anyone trying to have a simple quaint night in Sedona.

Yelp
My stay was fantastic. Easy walking distance to shops. Awesome views and great room. Becky and Barry are terrific and will stay there again because of them.

James W.

Yelp
The management really helped make this a fun and great place to stay. From recommendation's of places to eat/visit...(including vortexs) to making wireless work on my iPad, they were helpful and entertaining. I would stay here again. Great location too.

Cheryl S.

Yelp
Stayed here for a night. Picked this hotel for location, price, and the nice sitting area outside. There were plenty of people here at the time I was here. I almost felt like asking their opinion. What can you expect when you stay? Upon check in. There was one person at desk all day, the same person. He was nice. Took care of business, not there to entertain my conversation. Don't forget to pick up your coffee maker, and ice. They also have regular room keys. Doors have a dead bolt, and door knob lock. If you like heat at night, and its going to be cold, make sure you try the heater before night time. Had to call front desk to light pilot light for heater. There are window units that work just fine for cooling/ fan circulation only. No heat. The first thing I noticed when I went in room was the very heavy smell of air freshner or disinfectant. Had to open door and window to air things out, smell never really went away. I asked for a room with a tub. I did not use the tub. Opted for just a shower. There was old non slip strips in the tub. Some had been removed but not very well, leaving old glue marks, the drain was kinda rusty looking. The bathroom has been updated a little with tile around the tub/shower wall, sink, and shower curtain. There is only a light in the bathroom, no heat lamp or fan. Water pressure was good. The bed, and two pillows were comfortable. The frig in room when it cycles makes a hum so, I had to unplug it at night. A couple more things to note. My room, was on the bottom floor. Most important, for the light sleeper. Don't stay on bottom floor. Luckily who ever stayed above me went to bed at a decent hour. But, at night when it is all quiet, or should be all quiet . . . should folks above you be up late or possibly have to walk a baby across the floor at night. The floor does creak. There are tables and benches outside, a lot of folks sat outside their rooms enjoying the fresh air while their rooms aired out, using their laptops. My cell phone had so so service in the room. Depending where I sat. This hotel is on the edge of town before the drive into Oak Creek. By midday there will be a hugh line of traffic coming back from the creek. It is within walking distance to the main drag of Uptown Shops. Will be a bit of a walk from one end of the 'strip' to the other especially if you are carrying treasures back to your room from shopping. One fun fact ~ I was not expecting, when I stepped outside my door in the early morning to catch some pictures. I noticed the trash can outside was overturned and all the trash was scattered. I thought it was from dogs or coyotes? No, javelina. There were 5 or 6 that had been in the trash earlier and were just wandering out of the parking lot. I was able to catch a pic of one as he stared back at me. His other friends weren't so brave, and ran off. In this year of 2012 if you want no frills, quaint, old Sedona feel stay at the La Vista. Not much left of old Sedona, but you can find it here. Within these walls. The highway into town had a fantastic update over the years! Maybe some of the older hotels could do just a bit more. Would I stay again? Probably not.

Jane A.

Yelp
my husband and i came to sedona to mountain bike and this small hotel just at the end of the main street in sedona is perfect for hikers and bikers who are out all day and want to come back to a hot shower with good water pressure, a good mattress , mini frig for beer, tv microwave and coffee maker. GREAT porch w nice views and we saw a squadron of javelinas walk by super friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Amber P.

Yelp
Perfect location and nice big rooms. Only downside is that it is old. Our air conditioner crapped out the one night we stayed, but other than that it was a decent room for the price. Just be sure to ask for a room that doesn't have a 15 year old air conditioner and you should be good to go.

Perry H.

Yelp
We had an excellent greeting from Paul at the front desk and enjoyed talking to him for awhile. That said, Paul might be what gets us back to La Vista...aside from Paul, the place is pretty ho-hum. Our room was clean and it did have free internet and overall was fine, but average. It had a good rate, was within walking distance to the tourist strip and if that's what you're looking, La Vista is a winner. We did wake up smelling smoke from the fire close by then realized the bathroom window was open. There was also some very loud water pipe sounds that woke us up during the night as people above/beside us showered. We thought someone was banging on our door to evacuate us from the forest fire ha! All in all a fine stay at a clean motel with a good rate and centrally located. Just don't expect anything fancy and have a good chat with Paul and you'll be fine.

Joshua C.

Yelp
Friendly staff as expressed in previous reviews. Didn't find the rooms as spacious as pictured. We had booked a room with a queen, got a room with a full; I'm tall that wasn't fun for me. Plumbing was outdated got scalded when the toilets were flushed, and a super small shower. Overall the room was clean, honestly would choose another motel next time.

Coleen L.

Yelp
Stayed at this sweet little place during the Labor Day weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Becky was so helpful prior to our arrival and made everything so easy. She was very informative and patiently answered all my questions about the property, its accommodations and offered insight and suggestions to activities, dining and shopping in the surrounding area. We were graciously welcomed upon arrival and throughout our stay continuously offered amenities, refreshments and company while we relaxed in the evening on the deck taking in the beautiful and peaceful Sedona evening air. Hospitality was over the top consistent throughout our stay and very much appreciated. Becky goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable, settled and happy with everything her property has to offer. Our room was quaint, comfy, clean and exactly what we wanted and needed for our relaxing weekend away. Its conveniently located to all of uptown, yet distant enough to provide a peaceful escape. Could not have been happier with everything we experienced while staying at La Petit Sedona and we will definitely be back. Thank you Becky and team for making our time with you so enjoyable and memorable.

Lindsay S.

Yelp
Good location and friendly staff, however, the room did not feel as though it had been cleaned thoroughly. We found hairs on the blankets, buggers, and a white substance as well. Had a difficult time locking our door from the inside, also.

Alice K.

Yelp
After a amazing experience at Amara resort, we checked in down the street to this place, since this was the original hotel we were coming to a day later. It's great if you are with a group of people, families or kids, since there is a large porch to hang out. It's one of those drive up to your door places, we arrived with our couple friend and his brother and family, We took up 3 of the rooms and there was only 1 couple upstairs ( of course above my room) staying in this motel. Time to go to sleep, I find out the kids were about to get into the bed when they saw a cocker roach in their bed. They were freaked out so they ended up sleeping in their van. HA!! I am soooo glad they didn't tell me or I would have joined them. The fact they spent $100.00 a night for the roach motel, when I had told them about a wonderful experience at Amara, they would have spent the extra $25.00 for a standard room there. We made the most of it and it was the company that made it a memorable vacation, not this hotel.

Doug D.

Yelp
Pretty crappy room is not good back. Poorly arranged and the bathroom sink didn't even have a shelf for toiletries.

Anonymous V.

Yelp
Honestly, don't know why this place had poor ratings. We ended up getting room 120, it was ABSOLUTELY beautiful. Loved the windows and view. Front desk is so sweet and would stay here again! The place could definitely use some renovations, nice color on the walls and new carpet would be great. However absolutely lovely! Great walking distance as well.

Desiree D.

Yelp
Cheap room in a great location. If you are the type of traveler that does not really ever spend time in your room because it's just a bed to you then this is your place! The staff was all friendly. It was very easy to walk over the main street where all the action is.

Teresa J.

Yelp
Clean rooms, great views and walking distance to great local dining and shopping. Would definitely stay again!

Greg L.

Yelp
Old and dumpy with old and dumpy furniture. Uneven floors, tiny bathroom, 1940's era wall heater. We had "deluxe" room, TV doesn't get half of the channels shown in their book. We wanted to go elsewhere, but town was full. Limited parking, all the staff left as soon as the last reservation checked in.

Dustin W.

Yelp
Quaint motel with divine views and a great management team that makes you feel at home/part of the family. It's a no frills motel, which was perfect for me and exactly what I was looking for. Price and location (eg walking distance from main tourist area) is what drew me to this motel. Management taking the time to make sure I was taken care of including educating me about Sedona and the greater norther Arizona area is what will have me go back. I definitely recommend.

Dominik W.

Yelp
good motel, good rates for Sedona. It's in a pleasant setting at the edge of uptown. Rooms are decent, clean and quiet, with nice porch for outside sitting. Mattress felt a bit like jello, but that's a minor complaint.
