I was really looking forward to trying my first piadina on our trip to Emilia-Romagna. I ordered the traditional one with prosciutto crudo and squacquerone cheese and my husband had one with sausage, onions, and peppers. The piadinas are huge and a real bargain at 7 euros. You order at the counter, they call your number, and you pick it up and bring it back to your table. There are ample seats in the restaurant and it has interesting decor. I should have realized that since I don't like soft tortillas, I probably wouldn't like piadinas, and the filling was very good, especially the cheese. I enjoyed the experience of eating a piadina, and I think I chose the best place to try one in Ravenna.
