I found La Pinata by accident. I had been walking for hours and by chance, I gave up and ordered an uber from that spot. The uber was going to be 20 minutes. I popped in for a drink to kill the time, and was immediately blown away with the exciting buzz and hustle and bustle.
The greeter was basically blocking the front door, but instead of feeling intimidated, I felt like id walked into my friend's kitchen. I only got to stay for 2 quick beers, but the place had such a vibe, and the food on plates looked so wonderful. It was electric in there, and such a cross section of demographics for such a small space. Its was only 445pm on a friday and it was full of 20somethings sensibly eatong and unsensibly preloading in a very classy way, a group corporate ladies dissecting their week with tapas and a wine, late middle agers who had clearly beem settled in all afternoon, and retirees enjoying the atmosphere.
So although my review isnt based off eating their... yet!... i cannot sing the praises of this tiny little establishment enough and cant wait to try it out properly.
