Beautiful Resort by the Sea We had a wonderful stay at La Plage Resort. The location is absolutely stunning — right on the beach with breathtaking views of Isola Bella. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, perfect for a romantic getaway or a peaceful holiday. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely terrace and sea view. The staff were friendly and professional, always ready to help with any request. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of fresh options and a nice variety each morning. The only downside was that some areas of the resort could use a little maintenance, and the prices are a bit high — but the amazing location and overall experience made it worth it. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back!

We were day guests at the beach club. I can not say anything about the hotel expirience. The prices are higher compared to other options. We paid 60 euros for two persons for one day, in the last line. The other beds are reserved for hotel guests, which was fine. Since it’s a 5-star hotel, we expected to be treated normally nice. But the person in charge at the beach (Hamsa) was not friendly from the beginning. With hotel guests he was super friendly and even unfolded the towels on the beds for them. With us he couldn’t care less and treated us not nicely. It almost felt like he saw us as second-class people because we paid for the bed for one day, which was a very weird touch. There was not really any shade available and there were no other guests, so I asked if I could adjust the position of the bed, since that’s something very common that I’ve seen many times. He said yes, but also didn’t help. When he came with other guests, he said in a very rude way that I should move my bed to make more space for them — which in itself is completely fine, but the way he said it was not acceptable at all. We replied that he could also have said it in a nice tone, which then led to a fight with him. He started to raise his voice and replied in an aggressive way. We had to remind him that we were guests and had paid as well for the day. In the end, I told him to just go away since it was not possible to come to a good ending in this situation. I never expected to pay 60 euros for the last line and be yelled at by the rude Hamsa. Not classy behavior at all from a 5-star house. Just to mention, I was with my friend — we are two women, 35 and 38 — and he was around 50. We also reported his behavior to the reception, and they were really nice. Also, the rest of the staff were friendly.

The most amazing hotel and amazing staff. Diego is the BEST! We had a lovely time. The resort is clean and the most beautiful view. Great location - close to the city with lots of shops, gelato, restaurants. Not to mention the food IN the resort was some of the best food we had our entire trip! Could not recommend more

Stunning panoramic location, perfectly located below Taormina. Would advise anyone to explore local wine bars and restaurants as the local food was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and our teenagers were welcomed. Service is not rushed, but you are in Italy so you are meant to take your time and embrace your surroundings. Special mention to Irene, Antonio and Hamza at the beach club who were exceptional and to Alycia and Pasquales on reception who were very informative. Professional even when faced with ungracious guests. Be sure to take mosquito repellent!

The rooms were quite small and dated, and did not reflect the standards you would expect from a 5-star hotel. There were no luxury touches such as high-quality bedding or towels, and the in-room amenities were very limited — no facilities for making tea or coffee, and no ironing equipment. When I asked for tea, I was provided with an old kettle and only one type of teabag. Reception advised me to ask the bar for alternatives, but I was ultimately charged for the tea, which felt unreasonable. Breakfast options remained the same throughout our stay, and some variation would have been appreciated. The rooms were also quite humid and could benefit from better ventilation. Although there was a gym and spa on site, access to a sauna or some complimentary amenities would have been great. On a positive note, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the service overall was good. However, the facilities and amenities fell short of what we would expect from a hotel of this rating and price point.

We arrived at this beautiful beach club directly facing the beautiful sea and turquoise- aquamarine waters. No need for snorkeling gear because the fish are everywhere to easily see. The beach club staff and management were truly kind, available and personable as well professional. Aperol spritz done perfectly as well as my friends Sicilian gin and tonic with fresh mint ! We were not very hungry but we did have the f as nous arancini and loved it ! This is a great spot to chill all day with a friend, family or solo. Very relaxing to be here today. Even Marcos the manager on duty was super helpful and took photos without question. All the servers are always smiling. I will definitely come back and tell my friends ! |Grazie Mille

It was a difficult decision to make on whether to stay by the beach or stay at a property at the main and vibrant streets of Taormina, I believe we took the right decision by staying at La plage. The hotel is great and the bungalows are small but more than you need. Some have private gardens and others have a private jacuzzi. The breakfast is good and the terrace where breakfast is served has a super view of the sea. The beach is managed well and the sun beds are really nice. Food was great and the walk to isola Bella was very nice. Make sure you have the right footware as the beach is a pebble beach and walking without the right footware is quite difficult. The hotel does sell them for 10€ a pair. You are only a 10 min drive from the town and a 7 min walk to the cable car station that takes you up to town. I highly recommend this hotel.

I walked in as a day guest to use their sun bed. Nothing luxurious about the place except the price. 20€ for a sun bed with a towel at the end of October. Only one changing room available full of piled up furniture cushions. Sun beds have seen cleaner days, pretty nasty stains on all of them. Staff were pretty pushy about ordering something from the menu. I order an espresso that was served in paper cup… for 4 euros?? No water, biscuit or whatsoever. A sip of espresso in paper cup. I mean I don’t mind (over)paying for a vibe or exceptional service. Which was non existent at this place. On the bright side: really appreciated that they offer towels too. And the water is stunning, perfectly clear.
