La Plantation Spice Bar

La Plantation is a must-visit destination in Kampot for anyone interested in Cambodia’s rich agricultural heritage and the world-renowned Kampot pepper. The setting is absolutely beautiful — surrounded by lush countryside, with panoramic views of rice fields and the nearby hills. The guided tour was informative and engaging. We learned about the history of Kampot pepper, how it’s grown, harvested, and sorted — all done with care and sustainable farming practices. The pepper tasting session was a highlight — it’s amazing how different each type of pepper can taste! The on-site restaurant serves delicious Khmer dishes, many of which are enhanced with their signature pepper products. Don’t miss trying the pepper ice cream — surprisingly good! What really stood out was the warm hospitality of the staff and the commitment to supporting the local community through job creation and education. Whether you’re a foodie, nature lover, or simply curious, La Plantation offers a memorable and authentic experience. Highly recommended for both local and international travelers.

When we visited the pepper plantation we simply had to try the pepper ice cream so we got both flavors plus two gorgeous and really powerful cocktails while we enjoyed the gorgeous surrounding and the view. The staff spoke impeccable English and were super friendly and accommodating. Was great watching the beginning of sunset from there while enjoying our ice cream and drinks. Would recommend.

It's a very relaxing spot on a windy day. Very restful and relaxed. Unfortunately, I tried the Ice Coffee with Red Pepper which is their main menu. But it doesn't mix well between the pepper and coffee. It just doesn't blend in. Not recommended. Likewise, the vanilla ice cream with red pepper. And it's also too sweet for me.

A great place to escape the heat and enjoy a refreshing drink, coffee, or the unique signature pepper ice cream from La Plantation. It’s also a perfect spot for photos, offering a stunning view of the surroundings from above.

Had to try some of the food they made with all the different kinds of pepper. Beef lok lak and fish amok was perfect
