La Plazita

Wow, this restaurant is AMAZING!!!! The food is so delicious, the corn tortillas are homemade and the rice is addictive! We shared the Fajitas Monterrey combo, it was supposed to have mushrooms but didn't and everything was so delicious we didn't care! The salsa has a strong chili powder flavor but it wasn't spicy, just a perfect flavor that we couldn't stop eating. The decor is Christian, which is wonderful, and there was a Latin Christian concert on the TV, very lovely! This is a hidden gem, worth the drive and the employees are so nice! Love it, highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

strangely my first visit, a sign said cash only, so i left. 🤔 but a week later, i went with relatives for an early breakfast and was impressed. everything was delicious. I liked the bible verses in Spanish too. staff is very friendly and attentive. pancakes are excellent, but so big i halved it with a relative. i got the eggs with cactus (nopales) and took half home for later. the refried beans are absolutely delicious. i could eat a huge bowl of them, just beans and more beans! cute decor, not fancy but cozy y auténtica. i like that it's family owned and run. delicious experience overall. gracias. voy a regresar sin duda.

Everything was amazing!!! Loved the chimi!!! Will most def come again. The enchiladas were amazing as well. Also the servers were awesome attentive, and courteous. Worth the 50 min drive.i can't remember my servers name but she was awesome. Fear the green sauce but its so good. I would say its a experience.

Was very disappointed with the waiter I had... Had to get up three times to get a refill for my drink and on the third time a girl from the kitchen told me to just pour my own. That was a first... He was more concerned with chatting it up with the girls back there and laughing then the people in the dining room ... This was around 3:00 p.m. very empty ...Food was bland but decent... Chips were really good but salsa tasted like I got the bottom compilation chunks of leftover salsa. But I left out of there so mad about how horrible my waiter was I will not be returning... This place must be living off of a past reputation because it did not live up to expectations.

I have no idea why I haven't reviewed La Plazita already! I will go out of my way to eat here. Portions, flavor, service, price, all of it. One of my favorite Mexican / Tex-Mex spots of all time.

Today was the first time I've ever eaten here! Let me tell you it was Excellent! I ordered the steak omelet w/o mushrooms! It was the best omelet I've ever had absolutely delicious! The prices were good! Can't wait to go back! Yall need to give this place a try! Everything is Fresh! You can tell the food is made with love!

The food was good if you want texmex .it's not authentic Mexican food at all .The price is average the salsa was sweet and probably the worst I've ever had .the service was not good at all the waiter was more worried about chatting it up then doing his job .we stood at the front to be seated we where ignored so we sat ourselves.then he stood 3 foot away and continued to ignore us as I'm trying get his attention.was eventually taken care of by a waitress. A kid next to us spilled his water all over the place and the waiter literally looked at everyone clean it up and just went about his way with no offer of help what so ever. I was very mad when I left. The hands down best authentic Mexican food in Tyler is celso's id recommend going there not wasting your money at this place food was decent but the waiter completely ruined the experience for me .

Incredible food and service here, would certainly come back to try more of their menu. The portions are large and the salsa and chips are some of the best in town!
