Yelp
La Plume located at The Well, is a new French restaurant opened by the Oliver and Bonacini restaurant group. The interior is beautiful where it transports you to another world. La Plume offers brunch, lunch, happy hour, and dinner.
My friend and I decided to dine at La Plume for brunch on the weekend. We decided to make reservations just in case the place got busy. We arrived a bit earlier than our reservation but figured we would check in with the hostess/staff. Once we got checked in staff mentioned that we would be shortly seated. We waited about 5 min but 2 parties who came after us got seated first, which we found strange. I followed up with the hostess and she apologized as another staff had greeted us and failed to mention this to her. She led us to our table right away.
Once at our table we looked over the menu and were greeted by our waiter shortly. After that our waiter wasn't really anywhere to be found. Another waitress actually came by to take our order. We also could tell the table beside us were not impressed or satisfied with the service they received.
Food/beverage wise, we ordered the following:
- Omelettte (four eggs, brie, asparagus, peas, brown butter crumble, potato allumentte)
- French onion burger (gruyere, dijon & rosemary aioli, caramelized onion, served with fries)
- Coastline sour - a mocktail (Monday gin, lemon, apple, rapsberry)
- Free bird - a mocktail (seedlip spice 94, agave, lijme, passion fruit syrup)
Food wise, the dishes we got were average. There was nothing to rave about and there was no wow factor. The mocktails we got tasted good, not too sweet.
Overall, service could be improved on and the food was average. Would likely not return.
