Out of the way but a friend who grew up in Milan recommended. Was worth the trip from city center. Old school classic dishes. Did not disappoint. Had lunch outside where tables are set up on the grass. Lovely

A really nice restaurant that we found totally by luck as we were walking around the area and it was surprisingly really nice! The food was amazing! We had a typical Milanese risotto with sausage which was fantastic and super tasteful and a hand made tagliatelle with meatballs in tomato sauce which was really nice! We also had an onion tart as a starter which was delicious! The night was closed with two glasses of red wine from montelpucino which was a super super good choice!! We would totally recommend it but if you can choose it's nicer in the garden rather than inside.

Best regional food in this part of the city. The menu is written in "milanese" dialect and English. The tables are at enough distance to keep the conversations at normal volume and avoid that terrible crowd and noise of some restaurants . There is a windowed patio with view on the internal green garden. The miss en place is sober, they miss some fresh flowers on the table. We had two types of risotto, both perfectly executed. My parmesan risotto with kidney was delicious. To be perfect i would have more tender kidney but it is just the memory of what my grand ma used to cook... We had some biscuits and a grappa to close the dinner. Bill not expensive considering location and quality of three plates. The only weakness is the wine carte that is not well divided, bottles of 150 euro, some around 25 then they jump to 70 euro price without a proposal at mid range.

My customer recommended this restaurant for lunch to us. It was build up about 100yrs ago. Interior was classic and food was nice but not big enough for me. I ordered Veal with Tuna sauce. Delicious but not quite impressive.

Top restaurant with a beautiful hidden garden in the back. Highly recommended.

The waitstaff and owner were kind and gracious. The building is beautiful with great Italian home ambiance. We were so surprised to be dining in a restaurant that had won 3 Michelin stars previously, this was not advertised when we were looking on their website and was only on their door. We were early able to get reservations, but definitely recommend them. After having their wonderful food, we weren’t surprised they’ve received Michelin stars. It was fabulous!! Loved the fennel salad, Mondeghili, saffron risotto, ossobuco was so tender and savory. They have traditional Milanese and modern food choices. The wine was fabulous and the offering of cookies with your after dinner coffee was special. Highly recommend

The really good Lombardian kitchen restaraunt. Food is great and very nice decor

Really enjoyable experience. Lovely food, great service, cosy surroundings. An opportunity to taste some local specialities, overall a good choice of dishes on the menu. One of the oldest restaurants in Milan and certainly full of character, would go again. Not a cheap end establishment either, so the bill can be on the high side.

This restaurant combines a great quality on three key aspects, with lacks and weaknesses on others. Individually these lasts are not so critical, but when they become numerous, the overall judgment changes. The main three positive aspects are: - The environment, the furniture, the décor, the distance between the tables, the beautiful internal garden. - The service: fast, courteous, with multiple rounds of the owner to ask if everything is fine. - The menu, which combines traditional Milanese dishes with other meat and fish proposals (which is rare: very often restaurants that offer Milanese cuisine, do not offer anything else). Among the weaknesses: - Many of the dishes listed on the menu were not available. - On the menu some dishes are also translated into English, but many others not! - The "Tasting Menu" page offers an interesting Milanese menu, vice versa the vegetarian menu is really "sad"! (salad, pasta with tomato sauce, fruit salad). - Imperfections on the allergens indicated. - In my opinion a quite limited wine list, for the tone of the restaurant. - ... and others
