⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An absolute gem for brunch lovers! La Preferida exceeded every expectation. We ordered the “Criollo” combo, which was nothing short of phenomenal — every bite felt like a burst of authentic, home-style flavor. The “Chalaca” combo was just as impressive, perfectly seasoned and full of personality. What really made the experience shine, though, was Julio, our waiter. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and friendly energy elevated the entire meal. It’s rare to find service and food that both hit this level of excellence. If you’re looking for an unforgettable brunch spot that delivers both incredible dishes and genuine care, La Preferida is the place. Highly recommended!

Had an amazing pan con chicharrón—crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. Tried a few other dishes too and they all slapped. Everything was super fresh, the place was spotless, and the service was on point. Super chill vibes, definitely coming back!

The pork sandwich chicharrones is the best that I’ve had in Lima! The perfect blend of meat with sweet potato and fresh bun, delicious!!

Fresh seafood and good service. There’s a lot of options available and the prices are reasonable. Although we didn’t make a reservation, the restaurant does get full so try to make it before 1pm.

I traveled for 3+ weeks in Peru and Bolivia and this by FAR was my favorite meal of the entire trip. It was so good, I went back again. I usually have a rule when traveling that makes me try different places even after I find something that I like. In this case, I took that rule and threw it out of the window because I knew I had discovered a hidden gem. This restaurant has multiple locations, but this one is the OG. The restaurant is shaped like a triangle and gives off old new york bodega vibes, but with a strong Peruvian twist. This is the type of place i want in my neighborhood, because i would be there EVERY SINGLE DAY. The first thing you see when you enter is a beautiful ceviche bar with dozens of different beautiful ceviche options laid out under the clear glass front. The next thing you see is beautiful deli meats and bread with a butcher style worker standing behind it waiting for an order to be placed. The patrons vary from busy business person dropping in for a quick bite between meetings, dressed in suit and tie, down to retiree local who strolled from the couch, with loafers on, to the local corner shop for a quick bite and a beer with friends. on any given hour, you can take a snapshot of this beautiful establishment and see history and stories behind the food being shared. Do yourself a favor and have a meal here. Will not be disappointed.

I had great time here. The seafood from the cold bar is amazing. And the staff Boris is super friendly.
