On the Grid : La Pubilla del Taulat

"La Pubilla del Taulat breathes tradition in every corner. The tapas bar and winery offers recipes that have been passed down for generations and is one of the only places left that still has bulk wine in the cellar. In other words, it doesn’t get more authentic than this. People from all over the city, and all over the world, visit the Pubilla to fill up on the unbeatable homemade dishes…well and probably to also say hello to the hilarious owners who are specialists in serving up smiles." - Little Buddha

Come here to eat like a local and definitely try Bobma de carne de terneta y salsa tomate - this is tasty local dish. All the croquets are tender and tasty as well. Patatas bravas itself not so good (I don’t like the way potato cooked) but the sauce is great so it fix the problem :)

Our favorite place and in our hood!!! Don Jesus retired and sold his business to a great local group that restores historical businesses and buildings. They have done an amazing job with this gem of a place. Don Jesús is famous for having the best vermut in Poble Nou and it is still there! Amazing staff and ambiance. It is my new stop many times a week and now set meetings here! If you want a cheaper place I am sure there are many in Hospitalet. If you want a great place, quality food and amazing vermut, this is your place.

Loved by the locals, this tiny tapas bar is outstanding. The tapas are homemade and although the service can get slow depending on the time of day (it can get pretty busy and I believe it's family run), its worth the visit. The coolest part of this pub is the adjoining wine store to its left. It sells wine directly from barrels for takeaway, and the pub's self produced bottles of wine. Great for an afternoon drink after the beach.

Great Old school place, from outside smells delicious, inside you can eat delicious tapas cooked in small batches and drink fresh beers or good wine in a cosy and comfortable environment. The staff is nice and honest with you about portion sizes paring of different tapas and how much time it'll take. One of my favourites in poblenou

It's a known secret that this is The place to go when it comes down to really delicious local dishes. Savour the unique cooking of Barcelona the way it should be, authentic and plain simple dishes those are hard to get done right. Shortcut to paradise promised.

Google
Excellent tapas (we tried fried boquerones, patatas bravas and chipirones). Also try a black vermut. Tiny space and popular with locals. While some reviews say it's expensive, we didn't think so based on flavor and compared to stuff we tried around touristy spots.

Yelp
Great small tapas restaurant. They let us bring a big group and even opened early. Staff was welcoming and the food was delicious. Try the fried anchovies

Yelp
This place is great! We went there a couple of times when we were in Barcelona. Made sure that we ate there on our very last night in town. "La Bomba" is the best! The staff and service is wonderful! Heck, look at us hanging out with the owner! We also got a nice bottle of wine at the cellar that's adjacent to it.

Yelp
This place was great. The fish was fresh and delicious and the tapas were amazing. I really liked the look of the place too, it has charm and it's authentic. The staff was very nice and helpful. Definitely taking visitors from other countries here, it's exactly what you expect from a local traditional tapas bar.

Yelp
We had the pleasure of snacking here in the off season in November 2014. It is small tapas bar (there were 5 tables and standing room inside/outside) that also has a wine/product store in the back. As soon as we walked in, we knew that this was a "locals only" type of spot. We gave this spot 5 stars because it was a truly authentic Barcelona tapas experience. It was 8:30 p.m. and there was only one other group drinking/smoking outside. The proprietor/staff were extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. We made an effort to speak our best broken Spanish and ask questions about themselves, the restaurant and Barcelona. They spoke a bit of English. We also expressed to them that we were not in a rush and would eat/drink whatever they brought to us. We were initially hesitant about the big plate of fried Sardines that we were brought but they were great. It was a cool experience to have locals walk in, look at us and say "I want what she is having." We were also served fresh sundried or stewed tomatoes on bread with anchovies which was completely delicious. The wine that was recommended was very good. Also, they brought us a brandy/juice dessert drink to go with our chocolate cake which was amazing. The place was soon packed with locals and we had little interaction with the staff until closing time. They were so busy. We just sat back and enjoyed the experience. We also bought a bottle of wine and some bottled tomatoes. Overall, the price was very reasonable. We would also recommend bringing a large empty plastic bottle if you want to buy some great, cheap wine from the barrels in the back.

Yelp
The seafood is amazing! It was so fresh and flavorful. Also the eggplant chips are fantastic.
