Absolutely fantastic neighborhood parrillada restaurant… this place has everything you want for a memorable truly memorable Uruguayan meal. From the juicy ribeye to the oh so tasty flank steak… and even the simple but perfectly refreshing salad, this place is exceptional

Utterly enchanting. If you want a genuine street eating experience, this is it. If you're expecting posh tables and lots of space, this isn't that. If you want an intimate grill experience, look no further. Perhaps the best steak I've ever had!

This is a gem not to be missed. We over ordered in an effort to simply try more menu items. If I had a few more people I would have done the sweet potato and the grilled cheese. We did order the salad. So good we needed two so order the large. We had the house wine. Perfectly adequate and came in the sweetest vessel. Started with the chorizo sausage. A must. Followed that up with the flank steak and the rib eye. Then had FOMO and ordered the chicken leg. No room for dessert but that flan looked good. Overall a must experience in Montevideo. So happy we went.

Had an awesome meal at La Puperia in Montevideo. The rib eye steak was cooked perfectly, super tender and flavorful. The salad was really fresh and the blood sausage was surprisingly good too. On top of that, the service was amazing, super friendly and attentive without being over the top. If you’re into top-quality steak and a great dining atmosphere, this place is a must.

Wow this place is definitely a hidden gem in Montevideo and one of the best eats! It was supposed to close at 3pm but there were still people streaming in for orders. The place is pretty small so it probably can seat like 15 people max, but the waiting time is really crazy. I ordered and waited and my food almost came like an hour later. Well I guess good food is worth the wait because I really felt the meat was amazing! In the meantime while waiting it was definitely a joy watching the chef cooking the meats if you are seated at the counter seats. This place not only serve good meats, the flan is also totally to die for! I would say this is definitely my most enjoyable meal in Montevideo and also worth the two thumbs up! Highly recommended!

If you want a neighborhood Parilla with outstanding meat and an amazing atmosphere this is it. Fantastic. Great service too.

This was our first meal in Uruguay and we really enjoyed it. The meat was tasty, my wife loved the baked potato. It seems like a family business, which I’m happy to support.

We wanted a traditional meal on our first night in Montevideo and this didn’t disappoint! We had 2 different cuts of beef and potatoes, and of course wine, and it was all fantastic. It was busy when we arrived so we sat inside at the bar which was very hot but also fun getting to watch the large grill in action.
