Seems like a popular spot which encouraged us to visit. The food was not good. it did not 'wow' us to come back. We arrived, we waited about less then 5 minutes to be seated. The wait time started once we sat down. No acknowledgment from our server. Waited maybe like 15 minutes to place our order. To obtain the check is another waiting game because you need to line up to pay. I say avoid the restaurant service and food was terrible. I advise to visit Chila which is down the street.

It's not what it used to be, service was terrible. 45 minutes to place our order 25 minutes to get our food. Waiter looked like a fish out of water! Will not be back!

I had Machado with eggs, which is a tradition dish in Monterrey. It was delicious 😋. Fresh made tortillas, and the coffee ☕️ 👍. Plenty to choose from the menu. And the best part is that it opens at 7am 👌.

Right in downtown Monterrey. This place has a wide variety in its menu. Had the Chilaquiles Ejecutivos, great taste and a nice proportion of arrachera Is added to the dish perfectly. Coffee, black was ok, the best one seems to be its Café con leche. Dessert was a Semita with a mazapán crust, quite tasty and their whole section of pastry is tempting, it seems a few more visits are required to go through all of it. Staff is very friendly and quick to recommend dishes depending on what's on your mind. Place is nice and comfortable. The prices are perfect for the service you get. It doesn't matter if you come for breakfast, lunch or dinner, this place has you covered.

Enjoyed a delicious meal here. The beef soup was flavorful and the meat was quite easy to chew. The beef taco were delicious. However, the enchiladas suizas are tasteless. Fruit juices were excellent as well

Yelp
Authentic food. Affordable prices. Excellent services. Is not a luxury restaurant but perfect for a taste of home made meals

Yelp
So this place is close to my heart. My grandparents used to come here way back in the day. This is where I fell in love with Enchiladas Suizas. So this place is old school diner. They have great selection of breakfast items running anywhere from eggs scrambled, over easy to omelettes. Pancakes, toast & pan de dulce even pies! Their lunch & dinner menu has tacos, sandwiches, salads, enchiladas, parrilladas just a huge selection! La Puntada has been around for years & it is pretty much always busy. The main location is downtown but now they have expanded to malls. This place is so good. Staff is very friendly and they help with recommendations. Parking to get here can be a little tough but there is parking garages around.

Yelp
In America I'm not a fan of "diner" food (I'm an Aussie so the appeal is not nostalgic as we don't have them back home). So when I read diner-like local joint... I wasn't expecting much BUT!!! Wow. I don't understand Spanish so I just pointed to something, turns out it was divorced eggs and by that I think it means red and green salsa separated. It looked awesome when it came, two minutes later it was totally gone. The lunch menu opens up at 12pm so I'll go back for more random foods that I point to on the menu. The senorita that served me was very very sweet and attentive and tried her best to communicate to a foreigner. Can't wait to go back!! Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Yelp
So the chilaquiles are wonderful. The green tomatio sauce is tangy and just spicy enough. It comes with chicken and fried tortilla chips with cheese. So good. I also tried the enmoladas (enchiladas with mole on top) with chicken. The mole sauce was amazing and spicy. The plate itself came back a little warm instead of hot, melting it all together but overall it was quite tasty. We had fresh lemonade which is fresh squeezed. Taste so fresh and light! The restaurant is downtown Monterrey so it's best to park, walk around and arrive here for some food. Restrooms are simple but very clean. Staff is super nice and price for meal is very affordable. 9 of us ate for $70 ..not bad at all.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Great food, service and low cost. Nothing better than a fresh real orange juice.. delicious coffee and some sunny side up eggs..

Yelp
Don't miss this place! Very casual, very busy. Popular with the locals. Inexpensive high quality food. Authentic local Mexican cuisine. Delicious! Very crowded, but worth it! I would recommend this place
