We are loving Martinique, but finding a place to eat when we are hungry is an adventure, because the restaurant’s schedules are different here and one has to adjust to it. After walking 3 km Long Beach we found La Pura Vida closed, but chef was still there. He has opened the place for us and cook us a wonderful food. We will be coming back for more❣️

We had a great time during our first dinner of the vacation and on New Year's eve. Marine is the waitress who took care of our table and she went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, given also how little we spoke French, so sometimes communication was hard. NYE's dinner was spot on, with options to choose from a fixed menu. We came back twice for a good reason!

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of the inconsistency of the food. Went here for lunch, and everything was 5 star: Service food atmosphere was great. Came back several days later, and everyone was different. Took a very long time for our food to come. Service was slow, but the place was packed. previously, we had shrimp ravioli and lamb shank. The lamb shank was too die for, and the ravioli was perfect. The second time, we went we ordered lamb shank, and others had duck. The lamb shank was lacking flavor: sauce and was minimal. My other dining partners loved the duck. The kitchen was so slow there were many patrons but no food. Maybe a mishap in the kitchen?? But I will give them another chance next time I'm in Martinique. Reservations should be made

Ate here twice it was so nice, casual atmosphere with local flavor and extremely well prepared cuisine. Fresh fish and lobster. Good drinks, friendly service, even toward an American and his wife. Family freindly as well.

The food light be good if you trust the other reviews, unfortunately we didn't get to taste as everything we tried to order was not available. Shame.

First of all, I have spent time in Costa Rica which is where the name of this restaurant comes from, I have spent time in France and also Martinique. In all of these places I have never encountered such terrible service and rude people. My wife and I came here for dinner on our first night in Martinique, we were so happy to be there but two of the staff were so rude we actually ended up just leaving without even ordering food. I would recommend avoiding this place if at all possible.

Nice place, well decorated and food is nicely cooked / dressed but a bit too expensive compared to other places (same quality) and way too long to get served when you have babies with you
