12 Lighthouse Airbnb Rentals for a Coastal Getaway - AFAR

"A thatch-roofed, characterful tower offers compact, adobe-like living quarters with direct access to sand, gardens, and a shared swimming pool within the Villas San Vicente complex. The intimate space is ideal for couples seeking a seaside hideaway where time is spent alternately up in the tower and down at the pool or beach." - Nicholas DeRenzo

Went for the 1 pm show. It was a great show. 100 pesos per person to get in, gate opens 30 minutes before the dive.

Our tour from the cruise ship brought us to several stops, among them an opportunity to see the world famous cliff divers. I am given to understand it is almost a family business. When I was there, the 13 year old daughter was preparing for her first year as part of the diving team. What I didn't expect was that the divers jump in the water across from the diving point and first scale the cliff to the jump off point. They judge their timings based on the nearby wind flag, and the waves hitting the rocks a short way off shore so as to have the water at its peak when they hit the water, some 130 feet below. Before jumping, each has an opportunity to visit a shrine near the jumping point.

Over a month stay in Acapulco, enjoyed watching the show from multiple vantage points and different times during the day... you can have a nice drink and superb view from the Hotel Mirador but it is also fun to go in the evenings down on the platforms and enjoy the energy of the crowds that form. The rock formations are stunningly beautiful and it is amazing to learn the history and tradition of the divers. I found a really great somewhat hidden little restaurant nearby that served the best tacos and micheladas -- especially after I kept returning. I tell everyone going to Acapulco that you haven't really been unless you've seen the Clavadistas.

A must see! We paid the $5 dollar fee to see the show and it is so amazing to see up close. After the show we had lunch at historic El Mirador hotel. Very safe and people were super friendly

This is a work out to get to. Take a hat, umbrella, a back pack for your "ice" cold water!!!! They sell drinks, but i recommend you take your own. Bc you will be desperate for water!!! It's a nice experience & my respects 🙏 🫡 to the divers.

Yelp
As we drove closer to the location, people were screaming and giving instructions on where to park but none of them were official. Just drive on. Pull into the Mirador hotel parking. If they are not busy, they'll let you park there for a fee ($8 USD). Of course you can watch the show from the restaurant balcony while enjoying a meal or you can walk down the stairs to watch the divers up close. The entry fee into La Quebrada is $100 pesos. The divers were amazing and friendly. There were several show time options. We went at 7p and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. They do a tip collection at the end; nothing cringy. Don't miss this attraction. You'll love this show.

Yelp
This was a cool thing to watch. The charge 40 pesos which is like $2 now before it was a free event. They have delicious snacks in the area and drinks and ice cream which is amazing! The guys jumping from the top is a must watch in Acapulco
