I want to really express my love for this hotel. My husband and 2 children ages 4 and 5 stayed 2 nights. From the front desk to the rooms, our experience was great! We arrived late at 1am and the staff was amazingly helpful and cheerful. We entered in to our room and it was what we were hoping to see. Very clean, everything worked perfect, the room was very modern. I don't really write reviews for hotels, but I definitely wanted to share my great experience here!

This is a lovely hotel. The room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom was big and beautiful. The fridge and the a/c both worked great. Unfortunately, the elevator smelled terrible, but i couldn't place the scent. Another downside is that there is very little parking. There is also quite a bit of construction on the streets in front, but I was able to find a working entrance on the side street. Mostly a positive experience.

My family and I recently stayed at La Quinta on 100 W César E Chávez Blvd, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel was clean, and the staff was welcoming and attentive, making our stay feel comfortable. Located in a busy part of downtown San Antonio, it truly felt like an oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. One of the biggest conveniences was the mini H.E.B next door, which made grabbing essentials incredibly easy. The swimming pool area was well-maintained, offering a refreshing way to unwind. Breakfast was also enjoyable, providing a good start to the day. However, there were a few drawbacks. Having to pay a deposit along with the price for our stay at the hotel, was unexpected, especially since this had never been required in the past nine years of staying at La Quinta. Additionally, the elevators were quite slow, which made getting to and from our room a bit frustrating. Our bathroom was also not fully stocked with towels and toiletries upon arrival, which was inconvenient. Despite these minor inconveniences, the stay was still a good one. If the hotel can improve on these aspects, it would make the experience even better.

Google
This is a nice hotel outside the construction mess of downtown. The pool is great and everyone was enjoying it after a long day of site seeing. H.E.B. Located just across the street. Our room was large with a walk in shower. Very clean. The breakfast was great! Staff were very friendly and we had a great 2 days! Would definitely come again.

Google
Pros: Clean, comfortable. Breakfast is good. Very friendly staff, Pool is nice, clean. Rooms were very clean. Saw them changing several mattress as they should. Cons: card for room door expired 4 times in my 5 day stay, many times there were no towels in the pool area, room was not stocked with towels or toilet paper, house keeping never cleaned room or brought the items mentioned above, even though I called the front desk several times and used their text function. I had to personally go get the items my self twice during my stay. -I would stay again and recommend to others.

Google
Love everything about the place. Super friendly staff. The parking lot was not packed and you needed to get a paper to show you where staying there. The room very clean and comfortable. I had originally booked a 2 queen size bed but I got a studio which was great. Very spacious and the sofa turned into a bed.

Google
They have veteran parking, flags American & Texas. We arrived, friendly staff, welcomed us. Got our room. Elevator was the slowest I've ever been on, seriously. The pool was nice, not deep but 5 ft. And nice tables outside with umbrellas. Breakfast 🍳🥞 was good, eggs sausage. Biscuit and gravy, Orange juice, apple juice, yogurt, toast, bagels, a/c in rooms was Cold ❄️🥶, perfect. In the morning, there wasn't enough seats for people to eat breakfast 🥞. But that wasn't everyday, to my knowledge. There was a mix-up on adding a day and credit 💳 mixed up the hotels error, but tho frustrating, they did fix it and we still had a great time. This hotel 🏨 is close to restaurants, Alamo, Riverwalk, almost anything. Coffee all day & night I love that. Great time would visit again.

Google
The staff are polite and attentive. The breakfast/lounge areas and pool are very clean and comfortable to relax in. While a few AC units could use some maintenance (as experienced during my stay, and a few reviewer comments), I believe the value you get for the location makes up for it. The staff worked hard to resolve our minor issue, and this was while the place was busy as heck. We greatly appreciated their service.

Yelp
Extra star for being a little tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The room itself was okay. Spacious but felt older with not much to it. It was overall okay. I would probably pick a different hotel if I find myself in the area again.

Yelp
7/27/2025 2 Stars - Overall appearance- Dated , New A/C unit, Thermostat is 1 of those Green deals so it's always shutting off the A/C. 1 Star for Elevators !!! They're only 2 small elevators to service 6 floors. One on each end of the building. They are insanely & frustratingly SLOW ! 2 Stars - Room. It was fair, but had a mildew smell. Otherwise OK 2 Stars - Breakfast. For some reason this weekend, the hotel was packed and there was only one lady to service the whole breakfast area and she was totally overwhelmed. There wasn't near enough seating for the number of guests. Food quality was typical of a mid tier hotel.

Yelp
I chose this place for the free parking, which pretty much non of the downtown hotels have in SA! That was a nice perk. The room was well appointed and large, the hotels is in great shape, and not run down. Breakfast looked delicious but I only grabbed a muffin and coffee. My issue though was the early check in fee. I arrived at 130 and was told my room was ready but it'd be $25 to check in early. I've never heard of that one before. Also, the elevator was dreadfully slow and tiny, making it a pain to get up to my room. I tried using the stairs several times but the back door didn't work with my key. Speaking of keys, my card got deactivated at least 3 times during my one night stay. So I had to again go up and down the painfully slow elevator constantly to get it fixed. That put a huge damper on the experience. I wasn't the only one either, seems to be a reviled with their hotel keys. I appreciated security being present in the parking lot late at night. Nice place, I would possibly stay here again but please work out the kinks.

Yelp
Still don't recommend staying here. But we were able to get a refund after trying some more to reach the manager.

Yelp
Friendly staff bed was stiff but you get what you pay for close to the river walk parking was free and nobody was outside acting sketchy like other places I've stayed in San Antonio

Yelp
As we got off the elevater it smelled of mildew. At 5:58 AM the fire alarms go off and everybody leaves the rooms to walk downstairs to go outside, including my senior citizen mother who had trouble getting down the stairs. After waiting for 5 min, another person walks in to see what's going on. They didn't even walk outside to tell us it was a false alarm. After we walked in they told us it was a false alarm from the kitchen. We go back to our room to lay down and at 6:22 AM the fire alarm starts beeping again and we could no longer go back to sleep. As we checked out, I asked about a discount and was told since i booked with Expedia i would need to contact them. After contacting Expedia i was told i needed to contact the hotel and was sent in circles. This hotel doesn't care about its guest at all and i wouldn't recommend ever staying at this location.

Yelp
I was somewhat caught between 3 and 4 stars so I'm being generous and rounding up. I had no major issue so it's deserved. Due to covid, there is no breakfast which is a bummer. I understand they do not want people gathered around the buffet area, but some bagged fruit and granola bars would've been nice. Most properties are doing this during covid so I am not sure why LQ hasn't followed suit. Anyhow, HEB is next door so for a few bucks you can grab the continental standards and stock your mini fridge. Also, daily housekeeping has been suspended UNLESS you request it the day prior by 9pm. Fair policy and they did service my room as I had asked. Just do not assume that your room will be automatically made up. I saw one or two frustrated patrons in the lobby arguing with the front desk because they didn't get their room cleaned. But there is a sign posted at the front desk and it's quite clear. As is usually the case at LQ, check in was quick and easy. Although the woman at the desk wasn't the friendliest. No nicety exchange or local tips but not the biggest deal. Upon entering the room I noticed it was mostly clean but sporting some specks of dust. I attribute this to the room sitting empty for awhile but housekeeping really should touch up before a guest checks in. Otherwise everything looked good. Final notes are the free on-site parking which was very convenient considering this is a bustling downtown area that offers no free street parking whatsoever. If you are up for it, you can walk from the hotel to the Riverwalk. It's about 15 minutes and will save you on parking fees. You can also walk to the historic market and a few other nice spots. Overall a solid B+ stay and somewhere I'd stay in the future.

Yelp
This is a 4 star review for what it is, a mid-level hotel on the outskirts of downtown San Antonio. It is about a mile walk to the Riverwalk, which is nothing to my wife and I, whom were here for a long weekend vacation. The breakfast was okay, but they still didn't have eggs or anything I wanted, due to COVID, but it was still better than a "Take-away" breakfast that we have run into over our past 2 years of vacations. There is a H.E.B. right across the street, which has some good beer and premade salads that I had for breakfast before I had BBQ for lunch and dinner most days. Clean and comfortable, a totally acceptable mid-level hotel. Bandits BBQ is pretty close south of here, one of the best BBQ places ever.

Yelp
Staff was friendly and professional and free parking. Property is tired. Our room (429) had what looked like blood spatter on the wall behind the toilet that extended onto the painting hanging there. ( wouldn't be surprised if the toilet threw it up there because of high pressure). Do not look into the vents of the AC unit because all you will see are piles of dust/lint build-up as if it was never cleaned.

RJ S.

Yelp
The first room the AC thermostat was broken and the room smelled like body odor so after complaining to the front desk gave me what would be an awesome corner suite had it not been for the loud cars with loud illegal mufflers that race up and down the street all night past 4am - I really wanted sleep but did not get any. Even the window unit AC and the tv couldn't drown out the drag race going on outside. This accompanied by the flickering bathroom light that comes on and off with no help and the seriously outdated furniture from the early 2000s makes for a crappy stay. The upgrades to the first floor make you think it's updated - think again. Lastly...Parking - oh where do I start? The parking attendant first night was sleeping in the booth therefore unable to open the gate - too much Turkey or beer maybe? Really tested my patience as I sat there waiting for someone to wake up. Did I mention the booth was so dark tinted I couldn't see the guy so wasn't sure what to do? I just kept saying hello and he must have heard me - he slid the glass open he had his feet propped up on the other side and was leaning his head back to look at me - not even facing me? Wow. Complained to the hotel and they just say his supervisor is so and so - oh am I supposed to go find his supervisor now to complain - what kind of customer service is this? Second night there was a riverwalk parade and La Quinta opens their parking lot to all of the public - for a fee of course - but will still guide you in like there's somewhere for you to park but there isn't. I'm paying $32 a night to self park and the public pays $20? Trucks taking up two lanes and/or parking in a way that they completely block a good space - ignorance and selfishness at play here? I think so. And the parking attendant could have walked the lot and got an accurate count of space left - which was zero. I told the attendant they may want to stop letting in cars as there's nowhere to park and I ended up self parking in valet per her direction - no one came to help and I had to move a cone myself but the lady parking attendant said to park there. Don't stay here - stay somewhere else unless you like being frustrated and wasting your money.

Yelp
Very friendly staff hotel wasn't as close to Riverwalk as I thought it was about a mile which is not too bad but after a long day , we rented the scooters on the way back but renters beware read what your paying for!! The other La Quinta on Blum St is closer to Riverwalk, but again a one mile walk wasn't that bad. They served a nice breakfast buffet with some of hot food changing daily. Rooms we're nice size with small fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Only 6 floors elevators were a bit slow so just be patient. There is a market across the street, great pizza in there freshly made.

Yelp
Ruben Chavarria -GeneralManager We stayed in Room #105 and had several issues 1) This hotel needs to work on customer service if you don't have maintenance available to service the hotel issues you should hire someone we had an issues with the toilet in our room and the front desk gave us a plunger to fix it this not my job 2)The shower would fill up with water when using it this is a problem that needs to be fixed 3) The system was off line or down when we checked out gave the lady all the information to send me a receipt once it came up as of June 27 2023 no receipt sent called and spoke to Joseph he stated we don't have your email on file well I gave all this information to the front seat when I checked out on June 25 2023 will wait for the email receipt 3) I understand you don't provide room service every day but on the day in question the maids were out we tried to give her our trash and she said we need to find a trash can to put it in and refused to take the trash. Wow that is really sad so sorry we bothered you but I thought that was your job. Management work with your staff because this really SUCKS your hotel charges too much for this kind of service

Yelp
Not sure about the bad reviews on here I've been extremely happy with this hotel, staff and stay. The location is awesome! I've never been to San Antonio so I wasn't familiar with the location in regards to the river walk but ive been so thrilled with the location here. Especially recovering from ankle surgery (a month ago) I didn't want to be super far away. The parking here is great and feels safe. The staff that I have talked too have all been professional, kind and helpful. I'm a sticker for cleanliness and ive yet to see anything here that I wasnt happy with. The commons area is clean. Our room is clean. Towels, beds, sheets etc are all clean. I'm actually surprised we got the room for the price we did taking everything into consideration. But im obviously not complaining. If im ever back in San Antonio....this is where im staying! There's also a H.E.B across the street that has made it so convenient for literally anything we need. Easy 5/5

Jordan P.

Yelp
Room 122 and 124 have bed bugs. Asked for a refund and was only given a partial one. We have to wait on an "inspection" to validate giving us the remainder of the refund. 0/10 do not recommend this hotel for anyone. Will more than likely file a formal complaint for unsanitary conditions to the Metropolitan health district of San Antonio if the refund isn't given in full.

Yelp
I had a really bad experience, I arrived late at night. Walked in to see the reception staff jamming out to some heavy metal from the early 1980s they were quite unprofessional and not really eager to help .. By the time I got in the bed I realize that the bedsheets were old and full of fuzzball's. At that point I did not want to make a complaint to change rooms, but in the morning I called the front desk to complain about this they kept telling me that housekeepers would be on their way, after two hours that no housekeepers came the front desk transferred me to housekeeping we're very less than polite woman answer the phone and said that her housekeeper is just starting at 10 AM, so how could they have been being sent since two hours ago she was rude, belligerent, and obnoxious. I also complained about the shade in my room that was not functioning, and no one ever came to fix it in the three days that I was there. Homeless people come in from the street to partake in the breakfast, I'm glad that they're able to do this, but some of them did not smell so nicely, and I had to change my table a few times. The property has really gone downhill...

Yelp
Not worth the price in my opinion, sheets and some of the towels were stained , and some of the things had spider webs as if it hadn't been cleaned in a while... location is pretty good but the atmosphere is not.
google avatar

Hayley W.

Yelp
The hotel has reasonable prices and isn't that far of a walk from the market place and river walk. Other reviews complained how long the walk is.. which was 15 mins and not a long enough walk to complain about. You have HEB which is next door and you should definitely check out.. the pizza is good! The staff at the hotel were all really friendly. My only complaint would be the breakfast was whatever, and always made my stomach hurt after. And I got bit by something and although I didn't see the bug, after some reviewing it could of possibly been by a bed bug. I had saw someone else complained about this on another review and even got the bug... but I will post a photo of my bite. Other than that, it's a decent and reasonable hotel to stay at.

Dez R.

Yelp
On my last stay with the hotel my expensive glasses and Stanley cup were left behind. I get to the hotel to pick up what I left behind and the people tell me there was no glasses and gave me my brand new $50 cup scratched up and with no straw. I know for a fact my cup was not like that as I have the receipt to prove it's new and I know for a fact the glasses were left behind. I do understand we accidently cracked a mirror but the hotel charged me $300 so why be unprofessional and steal my expensive glasses and damage my property. This is unacceptable with all the money we've spent at this hotel. I want my property.

Yelp
Our stay was okay. This hotel needs to decide if it's a hotel or a motel. I respect that it's a lower-end hotel but it's still supposed to be at the level of the Hampton Inn and similar spots. The room was clean to start but they refuse to the clean the room during your stay. So if you're there for four nights you're in the same bedding for multiple nights AND they don't retrieve your dirty towels. This causes the room to smell damp. We asked for clean towels and for the trash to be removed. They brought clean towels. Left the dirty towels and the trash. The little "store" they have downstairs was poorly stocked with nearly expired food. The continental breakfast only had sausage and eggs as their main proteins each day. The staff is nice. The hotel felt safe and is walking distance from Market Square. There's an H-E-B across the street. Uber picks up easily and Uber Eats does deliver. I would stay again but now I know what to expect. It's okay for the cost but not a four star spot.

Yelp
TLDR: about 10-15 min walk to Riverwalk area, friendly staff, clean & spacious rooms, comfy beds, updated hotel, parking, complimentary breakfast, great rates for all you get, you won't regret it. Our 2nd stop on our adventurous road trip to San Jose, CA was here. This hotel is not by the Riverwalk but still at walking distance to it. The lobby was big and updated. We were greeted by Ruben and because I had booked a pet friendly room for our dog and last minute brought my daughter's guinea pig, I asked if that was ok and if there was an additional charge for our guinea pig, to which he smiled and replied no. He also showed us on a colorful map he provided, where we were at in relation to the Riverwalk and he recommended some places when I asked for suggestions on where to eat or interesting places. Because we were only staying one night and had a long drive ahead in the morning it would be impossible to do all of it so we opted to just go to the Riverwalk, walk around and see where we could eat and go from there. Before doing this we went to our room which was bigger than most hotel rooms since it also had a lounge area with sofa and a mini bar by the front door. Beds here were also comfy and plenty of space to not feel crammed. Walking to the Riverwalk area in the dark did feel a bit worrisome especially when you're not from the area and there weren't many people walking on the street we were walking on but it wasn't long before we reached a crowd of people, so that felt better. There are also plenty of e-scooters around if you're not up to walking. We did see some on sidewalks and in front of the hotel. But this of course depends on people leaving them wherever. It wasn't a set location just random spots. The hotel also has complimentary breakfast which we didn't enjoy since we left before 6am. But their breakfast seating area is big, clean, and updated. Lovely hotel and friendly staff. Extra points for being pet friendly and exceeding our expectations. Both my daughter and I loved the Riverwalk area and this hotel was great. Hope to be back to enjoy this wonderful city.

Yelp
Very easy check-in! Everything was ready when we arrived. Parking was easy. Couple of issues... room smelled very musty even though Wyndham website proclaimed this to be a "newly" remodeled hotel. Front desk staff of an evening were unfriendly. I've stayed in worse, I've stayed in better. Would stay here again if nothing else available.

Yelp
LaQuinta Inn SUCKS!! I booked one night in San Antonio before heading to our cruise departure in Galveston. They charged me 2 times before I got there. Then, when I got there, they insisted I hadn't paid. They wanted me to pay them before I could get a room. So, basically they wanted me to pay them 3 times. I have most always stayed there. I will never again!! And I'm going to shout it as loud as I can that none of my friends stay either. Alicia Heath offered to pay and the lady was already mad because I cussed while on the phone with their customer service. La Quinta by Wyndham you SUCK and so does your Customer Service. I WANT MY $300 back!!

Nancy F.

Yelp
I'd like to give a shout out to Linda on the night staff. Upon arrival at 2:30 am, we were greeted with kindness and professionalism. She was extended to offer my 94 year old dad a better room, knowing his limitations. Also, Joseph during the day shift deserves a shout out as well. He even remembered me from a previous visit, which made me feel right at home. The breakfast staff were awesome. Nice job & Thank you, La Quinta for good care and hospitality. Until, next time....

Yelp
Nice for the price. Could use better towels & the key stopped working 3 times. Breakfast ran out of meat by 8am.

Yelp
I found a used razor blade under my couch!! I reached underneath to get my moms phone and felt it stab my finger! I have my three year old also staying in this room with me, can you imagine what could have happened if she found the razor blade first!! When I called the front desk, all they told me was that house keeping could come inspect the room for anything else. They didn't even offer to give us another room?!

Yelp
*** Do not sleep here! Bed Bugs Alert! *** It's 4 AM currently and I just got switch a room next door because I got bitten by a bed bug, a freaking huge one, and is itching! See the photos yourself and decide wisely. They have good service and staffs are friendly but bottom line is, there is bed bug and they bite! I will not be back. Mind you I already got the sixth floor and the newly remodeled room and is still with bugs, ants and bed bugs.

Yelp
As usual, I have to put a caveat on here. 5 stars doesn't mean it's a "5-star hotel" it means, in this case, a "5 star experience" in a 3 star hotel. That said.....Super clean, redone rooms, hot buffet breakfast included. Wifi also included (I had no issue accessing it) and parking included. I upgraded to a suite with a King bed and it was really big and still under $120/night. Riverwalk (I was there for a conference so didn't do it this time) is fairly close and it's close enough to drive/uber to Pearl or downtown and right off of 35. Also...I had an issue with a company credit card. Initially I didn't realize it was my company's mistake so was not quite as friendly as usual when I called to pay and was told I couldn't use the card. Patty called me back and we worked through the issue and everything worked out. I appreciate a good customer service person! All in all it's relatively quiet. I didn't hear any indoor noise but I did hear a little outside noise. Its a city; to be expected. There is an outdoor pool but I didn't use it. Like the rest of the hotel it looked clean. For an affordable option this is a great place to stay. I live in Austin so will definitely stay here again when I come down for Spurs games or quick weekend getaways.

Kristina D.

Yelp
The hotel rooms are dirty and have bed bugs. 1) The shower was brown and had mold all around the edges. 2) When showering, the water clogged to our ankles. 3) BED BUGS. My kids and I were bitten on our arms and legs. DISGUSTING. 4) We were given only two towels for a family of 4. RIDICULOUS. 5) The fridge had not been cleaned in a long time. It was brown and had a nasty smell. 6) The drawers had hair and have not been cleaned. GROSS!!! 7) Front desk staff seemed as if they didn't want to work at all. I am hoping it's just a bad experience for us and no one will go thru this. But this hotel is DIRTY.

Bruce W.

Yelp
This was disappointing, there was dust all over the desk and around the phone, etc etc, so it is hard to feel that they put a lot of effort into cleaning. This is especially unacceptable because they dont clean each day, only between guests, so they should have ample time to do a decent job. We had to tell them three times that someone had spilled pizza all over the stairs, there was pizza sauce and half eaten slices going up three floors. It took them three days to finally clean it. The best part was that there was a HEB next door

Yelp
I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. It's probably one of the nicest hotels and La Quintas we have stayed at since we started our cross country road trip from Southern California to Virginia. The lobby looks very presentable and very clean. It actually smells good all throughout the hotel. It doesn't have that old, musty smell that hotels usually do. Everything is very modern and updated. Even before COVID, I have always wiped down the surfaces in whatever hotel room we have stayed at. I wiped down the surfaces in this room and everything was clean. Whereas in some previous ones, I'd wipe, and it'd be instantly dirty. The bathroom was very clean. No mold or mildew anywhere. And the towels actually smelled clean so I actually felt safe using them. Same with the bed sheets. A huge applause to the front desk staff and housekeeping. They are doing an amazing job with hospitality during a pandemic. If you're driving cross country, I recommend this place!
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
It's a shame that such a great property with location, clean rooms and good prices would have televisions in the room that you can't connect to wireless or HD. I've asked the desk on different occasions, and apparently it's the manager/owners decision. So if you you have children that love that one DVD or a business person in need of a large screen to do business, you're out of luck.

Tonya M.

Yelp
Clean rooms and hotel. The gym is big and has lots of variety and the pool area is f great. It was not too far of a drive from the Riverwalk area from us which was great. They are still serving muffins & OJ for bfast and you still have to request rm srvc(srvcs I think IHG & Wyndham are milking as long as they can). The little guy working in the AM was professional but not the most hospitable. We got told something when my husband parked under the pavillion to come help with our bags (took 10 mins). They had other cars parked there overnight so Idk...it was 4am & unnecessary. Job security for someone I guess lol. But overall, a good stay!

Yelp
My husband and I always stay at this location when we are in San Antonio. Their prices are reasonable for the great location, they have updated their rooms and the staff is the sweetest. They always make us feel welcome when we come.

Yelp
Decided to choose this place due to it being close to 6th st. Free parking, breakfast and WiFi for a decent price. Booked hotel through hotels.com, super quick check in process. Hotel looked nice and promising; when we located our room walking into it was freezing due to AC being left on(had a smell). Of course we turned AC dropped off luggage and went our way to see San Antonio. When arriving back First thing I notice was a molding smell.. I figured it was the AC earlier but it's been off the hours we were gone.. trying to settle in the door handle to the bathroom was loose along with the shower head. Some maintenance is definitely needed on this hotel. I didn't complain about the smell since we were only there 1 night and it was late when we got back to the room... so why complain.. they offer breakfast but we decided to sleep in since instead since we had to drive to Austin.

Yelp
Very friendly front staff. Debbie was very nice to me when I came down requesting items in the middle of the night. Super clean and modern rooms for a fair price. Amazing complimentary breakfast, wide variety of different options!

Yelp
We definitely enjoyed our experience here! Arrived last week just after midnight. Was pleased to see that there were a few stalls available for us to park our rental car. The front desk lady who checked us in was very nice. Our room was better than what we expected. Just a few minor flaws in the bathroom and a little noisy in the hallway when people walk past. They offer free breakfast every morning. They variety of food/beverage is good and the breakfast staff is awesome! Their gym is spacious with enough equipment to get a solid workout. They also have a decent size swimming pool. The elevator could use some work because it seemed old. The building is clean inside and outside. The guy who checked us out was helpful which made the process simple. Another good thing about this LQ is that there's an H-E-B across the street. The Riverwalk, Alamo, along with many other attractions are all in walking distance. Their price point is worth it and not overpriced like similar hotels or Air B&B. If I'm ever in SA again I would not hesitate to make reservations here!

Yelp
I don't understand why the front desk lady can have her kids play on the guest business computer all day, covering it in germs, none of them wearing any face masks, but spending ALL DAY in the lobby. This is a serious concern during a pandemic for guests who are forced to be here on business.

Yelp
I paid $109 per night and I'd probably stay here again because of the room a/c and the awesome iron. This hotel has been completely renovated. Good for a business traveler. All the rooms are suites with a couch, desk, and charging station. They also have a microwave and a pretty big fridge. What's Good: 1. Iron. Why is this #1? I like to touch up my clothes with an iron. They have the best steam iron ever! It will even steam upright so you can get the wrinkles out of your suit. Crazy huh? 2. Air conditioning rocks. I like to hibernate. I set the thing to 60 (they never get that low) and woke up in the middle of the night freezing. 3. The staff is really friendly. Not so good: 1. The lobby/breakfast area is hot, well let's just say warm. It's a large area that's very nice with couches, tables, booths, etc. Not sure what the problem is, you're not going to sweat like a pig but you will start to glisten after 10 minutes. 2. Breakfast. Not a fan. I like breakfast bars that have fresh cut fruit. They have whole apples, oranges, and bananas though. I think the eggs are powdered. Bacon, well it's bacon. Breakfast potatoes are soggy and yucky. Raisin Bran is good.

Yelp
This place is disgusting. I was given a room that had a wet moldy rag smell. I immediately asked for another room. I walked into the next room; one floor up. The room had more of a faint moldy smell. But nonetheless, Same damn thing. So I asked for another room once again. Giving them the benefit of the doubt. I walked in, and I didn't smell like anything. So at this point. I'm cautious but I enter. The coffee table had a greasy film on top. The desk had residue from what seemed to be just a damp moldy rag being carelessly wiped over the top. But the cherry on top was the blanket. I placed my belongings on the bed and immediately seen a stain after stain after stain. It didn't even looked washed. So I went downstairs and told them I was canceling my stay. Per policy, I can cancel before 6pm and receive a full refund. That didn't happen. They charged me for a nights stay. After contacting Crystal Ramirez, the assistant General Manager. Who was rude. Did not want to refund me the rest. She herself didn't even know the policy. So I'm currently speaking to corporate and my Bank to get this resolved. DO NOT STAY HERE FOR HEALTH REASONS. Even the passive aggressive AGM said they closed down my initial room Bec of the Mold. BEWARE!

Yelp
We stayed at La Quinta for the main reason we had two cars, one with my daughter and her dog. La Quinta is about the best choice for a dog-friendly chain if you traveling from Los Angeles to Florida. Arriving late in the day, the staff allowed us to park along the outer rim of their denced property for all their regula spaces were gone. This was a blessing since I hate parking garages - usually something is not taken into the room. While the location was very useful for arriving and departing San Antonio's complex Interstate system, the hotel is too distant for walking to Riverwalk or the top restaurants in the historic district. Take a cab or Uber and don't try to drive for parking in the evning! This La Quinta has nice rooms, a good and friendly staff, and the usual breakfast served with those Texas shaped waffles. We don't serve Florida shaped waffles here in Central Florida for they would be too thin or too hard to make.

Yelp
This place is within walking distance of everything! It's very close to all the touristy places we wanted to visit like the River Walk, the Alamo, Market Square, Tower of Americas, and Alamodome. They serve breakfast daily from 6:30-9:30 everyday and even have food available for about 15 minutes after the designated times, which is nice. There wasn't much variety for the continental breakfast and the line to make waffles is always long, but it was cool that they have a couple of Texas-shaped waffle makers though. As for the rooms- the one we stayed in was clean and spacious. Free Wifi is also available and you can also make use of the outdoor pool and jacuzzi if the weather is nice. Overall a good location to stay at for the price.

Yelp
the short hispanic lady that works overnight . tattoo on her right arm I believe was extremely rude and didnt show no consideration, professionalism , or customer service skills . I walk in being as nice , calm , and asks how it going , and then i asked to be checked in and right off the bat she is rude and starts saying a whole bunch of nonsense , asks for unnecessary information that i never had to provide for , i travel for work and spend 10's of thousands of dollars at wyndam and this is how i get treated . i shouldve known better than come to san antonio and expect common sense. i will be contacting wyndam as a platinum member about her and contact HR to never book people at this hotel again .

Yelp
Newly remodeled but already showing signs of mis-use. Uneven floors in the bathroom. Scuffed up elevators and halls. Mildew in the shower. And there were not enough parking spots for the guests. Was told to park on the side of the kit that clearly were not marked as parking spots. Many other options in the area to put up with this.

Yelp
Where to start! The pull out bed literally gave me bruises. Saying it was simply uncomfortable would be an understatement. I was sleeping on literal springs. There was no padding at all on that bed and every move I made woke up the whole room. The springs would creak all night. The bruises came from laying on those springs that popped up. All down my leg... I would have been better off on the floor. Which is sad when you pay 250 dollars a night. I have never cried real tears about an uncomfortable bed before this Hotel. When I mentioned it to the front they were unable to make any accommodations. I ended up going to Walmart to buy a comforter to add some type of cushion to the bed. Ridiculous. Parking permits were limited to one vehicle per room. I was instructed to take my car two blocks down to some sketchy garage that cost about 20 dollars a night. With no in and out privileges I might add! I had to walk two blocks in San Antonio with a baby in a stroller alone to drop off my car the first night. I did however finesse the front for an extra permit on the second night by explaining my safety concerns about walking with a baby to drop off the car alone. The guy at the front desk was sweet enough to offer me an unused permit. Kudos to whoever that was. He was the only reason I even gave an extra star. The so called free breakfast consisted of a few baskets of some pre packaged muffins and granola bars. Don't advertise free breakfast when it's some baskets with limited snacks. Some people factor that free breakfast into their daily meal budget when on vacation. Especially if they have kids. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for this price.

Yelp
I had got a room for me and my family , the lady that checked me in was so nice but once I left to eat and came back a different lady was at the front desk, she was rude and made me feel uncomfortable. I told the officer that worked here at night and he agreed with me , supposedly many guests had left because how she came off. Idk if she was having a bad day but as I tried to explain to her why my mask was in my pocket she threatened me with calling the cops and having me removed from my room. After I told her I was sorry that I was in a rush and trying to buy a soda she kept telling me that she was gonna have me leave the property. I know covid was a huge deal in 2020 but she literally let other guest walk in with no mask and she had no mask on herself. So I didn't understand why she had to come at me how she did. I've stayed at this hotel for many years and never had a problem like this til today. Most of my friends and family come to stay here too and they have told me about her but I didn't think she was so mad about her own life to where she had to be so mean and offensive to others.

Yelp
Nicely remodeled and thus feels newer than it actually is. Free parking. HUGE breakfast with all the fixings. A very short walk to the riverwalk. Well-tended to pool area but no hot tub. Very friendly staff.

Yelp
The house keeping is really letting this place down! Walking into our room we were "greeted" by an uninviting odor! It was kinda like when someone cleans with a dirty rag (made me had air freshener to my travel list). Worse, for over $200 a night, I shouldn't have to be washing their coffee machine (luckily, dish soap was already on my travel list). It was truly the worse I have ever seen and coming from me that's bad because I have traveled the world. It had a lot of hard water build up!!! The frig could use some defrosting as the little freezer part was super frozen. Even worse, I overheard another customer notify front desk that they had walked into a room with an unclean frig and the smell was unbearable which is unbelievable so yeah hire someone to oversee housekeeping because it doesn't seem that the current ones care about getting the job done.

Yelp
When you walk in, the way the pictures from the owner look is the same as you walk in, so nice! Ended up staying here for four nights, the ladies at the front desk were super nice, and check-in was easy and quick. They provided us with our keys to the room and a parking pass that we need for the parking lot. We got to our hotel room and everything was nice and clean, nothing dirty I would say when we stayed. You do have to call for room service which honestly I did not mind doing so and I perhaps only did it once during our stay. If you need fresh towels, bring your used towels to the front of the lobby and they will exchange them for you right there. I wanted to eat some pizza that night and luckily there was an H‑E‑B right next door that makes fresh pizza there! Honestly, such a convenience for us and I'm pretty sure for the customers as well. The breakfast here is just your traditional eggs, sausage, waffles, coffee, toast, cereal & juice from 7 am to 9 am. During our stay there was enough space for people who were coming down for breakfast, normally people were out of the breakfast area in under 10 mins, I would say. The location is also nearby the riverwalk which is a 15 min walk if you want to walk around! If you want to explore San Antonio or want to find activities for yourself, your partner, or your family there are brochures in the lobby area as well as a map of San Antonio and the places you can visit. 5/5 would recommend, I would come back to this Hotel again if I were to ever be back in San Antonio.

Yelp
Worst experience ever. It's great they allow dogs. I'm probably one of the biggest animal lovers out there, but why are they allowed to have dogs on every floor. For over an hour now the room across from me has a dog that has not stopped barking. Front desk attempted to call the owner who said he was on his way back. 30 minutes later still barking. Loud, obnoxious bark whenever someone walks by. This isnt helpful considering the room the dog is in is right next to the elevator so all night people walk by the elevator. Proper management would have a process in place that states all occupants with dogs be kept on the same floor. Moreover dont out them in the room with the absolute most traffic possible. Great they allow dogs but clearly the manager or whoever places people with rooms is not a dog owner and doesn't understand their behavior enough to respect the rest of the guest. So to sum it up if you have a dog great but if not dont expect to get any sleep and if they move you to a new floor and new room it's no help because barking dogs are scattered through the entire hotel on every floor Recommendation for management....put all animals on one floor and do not put them next to an elevator and put them in low traffic areas Staff was exceptional at tracking down the owner to solve the issue as quick as possible. I'd this rating was just on the staff i would have given 5 stars but the management and placement of guests seriously needs to be rethought
