La Réserve

Incredible food, lovely staff and great beers. We popped into Rennes on our 10-day motorcycle trip from Bilbao to St. Malo. Taxi dropped us off in a central location and we wondered around trying to find a good French restaurant amongst all the Asian, African and Crepe restaurants. Whilst everything else was still shut at 1800, La Reserve was open for drinks with the kitchen opening shortly after. As said, the staff is amazingly friendly. We started with 2 local beers (Sainte Colombe & Blanc Hermelin) which were incredible. Food wise we ordered Fois Gras, Beauf Tartare, 2 Steak & Frites as well a hake fish dish. Flavors were awesome and all food was cooked to perfection. Thank you Fred (chef) and service team.

Despite of the food is good ,they took to much time to serve and even the people who pass their order earlier, they received their food quite later then others. The service is really so awful!!

Market fresh fish and veg options on a beautiful street. Service was very friendly and efficient. The lotte (monkfish) was cooked perfectly, which is not an easy task, and there were some great local options to share.

Excellent lunch menu and great value 14 euro for lunch 2 courses. Both seafood starter and seafood main were well prepared and creative .

for lunch, very kindness and very good fish at this time. there was lady can speak English, it was very helpful for Jananease.
