Small nice hotel, with friendly staff and a good breakfast, with reasonable choice of good cakes and croissants, fruit salad, cheese, hard eggs, bacon and ham. |Room and bathroom small but clean and with everything you need. Separate toilet, as in the French habit.|Quite area, quick enough to reach the city center (the wonderful Stanislas square!) by foot, passing by the even nearer train station. Easy enough to find parking nearby at reasonable price, free on Sundays.

Beautiful rooms, good price and good location. Breakfast was amazing. The elevator and corridor do smell quite bad though, and the walls are paper thin. Your next door neighbors will decide when you go to sleep as you can hear someone walking above you and even a normal conversation loud and clear.

This hotel is fine for a short stop, especially if you want a hotel near the station. There are no frills and it's not especially pretty. It has a busy street frontage. We parked on the road for a reasonable fee, but there is apparently a garage a few streets away. Our room was small but fine. The shower worked well, the AC worked well and we used basic wifi without problems. There is a kettle and sachet of tea and coffee but no creamers. The doors are clunky and noisy so you can hear your neighbours arriving and leaving. Breakfast was a striaghtforward basic buffet but with extra marks for decaff coffee (hurray!) It took us 20 mins to walk to the main square (Stanislas) and there are plenty of restaurants in that area. However, we ate at Excelsior, a more traditional French brasserie near the station.

Welcoming, comfortable and easy to drive to. We loved this hotel. It has no pretensions, comfy beds, spacious rooms and bathrooms, and a good breakfast. Safe parking 2 minutes drive away. They advised a great place to eat just down the road. Would happily visit again.

To talk about the good things, the location is good, just off-centre and walkable distance from the centre. The things that didn’t go well: a. The hotel is run down, and needs renovation - the bathroom fittings need changing b. The breakfast is not worth paying for - it is from 8 to 10. We turned up at 9 and most of the things were finishing and they wouldn’t replenish it … basic things like a croissant c. You have to check out at dot 11:30 .. we wanted to a 15/20 minutes grace .. we were told that there wouldn’t be anyone at the front desk, which is ridiculous that a hotel wouldn’t have anyone in their desk late morning and early noon!

We only needed a quick overnight stop over while travelling through Europe. Photos on the website made the rooms look really nice and bright. Our room unfortunately needed some TLC. It was very dark and paintwork needed freshening up. |I had booked a room with breakfast included but unfortunately this didn’t show on my Booking.com so had to pay €10 each which unfortunately I didn’t think was worth it as no hot food was included (not even a toaster)! Also I would recommend the hotel buying black teabags as the Darjeeling wasn’t very good for an English couple who like morning tea!

We stayed overnight as a family on the way back to Calais. This is a lovely hotel. We had a great welcome. Our 2 rooms were individually decorated and were spotlessly clean. Beautiful bathrooms. ||The location was pretty good - in walking distance from the shops and restaurants. Stanislas Square was a little further to walk but well worth it. ||We had breakfast in a lovely room with stained glass windows at the front of the building overlooking the street. Tasty, fresh pastries and bread, chilled juices, cheese, hams, yoghurts and fruit - even some home-made jam. ||A great stay - I wish we could have stayed longer.

Very clean room, great walk in shower. Very helpful staff, big delicious breakfast. Excellent value for money close to main sites. On tram route. Safe parking in locked garage 1 block away. Or could park on street easily. An excellent stay
