La Residencia Tarifa

We stayed here for 4 nights in March and it wasn't long enough! We booked a superior appartment on the 1st floor with a sea view. Spacious and bright, with views over to Africa and 3 balcony seating areas to sit out and watch the world go by. Located in a quiet part of town, but just a short walk to the shopping area, it was perfect for us. There's no shortage of bars & restaurants, a great little take-away pizza place and plenty of supermarkets. The accommodation is kitted out with everything you need, the staff are friendly and Tarifa itself is charming, a hidden gem of a place. Visit before it gets too trendy! We own a holiday cottage in the UK, so know how much thought, care and attention has gone into making these appartments so special. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend La Residencia Tarifa and we will be back again, we enjoyed our trip so much.

I have been fortunate enough to stay in many high- end hotels, and this is one of my favorites. Think the Post Ranch Inn in Tarifa. From comfortable beds, L’Occitane products, makeup towels, gifted wine on arrival, the attention to detail is amazing. That’s before getting into the beautiful apartment furnishings, the free laundry, sauna and heated pool. Oh, and the views of the Strait and Morocco from your patio.|There are numerous great restaurants within 5 minutes walking.|We are leaving tomorrow for Tangier, but we will come back!

What a fantastic place, well worth every euro to stay here. We first requested an early check-in for the sake of our baby, and the staff were very warm and open in all communications. Our boat was then delayed over 4 hours and we failed to meet the regular check-in timeframe. The staff were still understanding and so welcoming and made everything as easy as possible for us. The room was spotless and had everything we needed. Even when we put our baby to bed, the lighting options meant she wasn't disturbed. The rooftop swimming pool and sitting area were outstanding and we loved the space up there. The location was perfect for cafes and restaurants, walks along the 25.9km trailhead to Algeciras or to the beaches, and ok for access to bigger shops (15min walk). We loved sitting on the old walls and watching birds and the boats coming and going. Even the town and area surprised us by having far more than we could do in a weekend. We would happily go back here again and warmly commend it to anyone.

We had such a wonderful time at La Residencia. We loved it. Super breakfast, nice rooms and lovely staff. Definitely going to go back.

A very last minute stay and we were so pleased we chose here. The location is fantastic, just a short walk out of the old town and great views over the sea towards Africa. The history of the place is most interesting and the way it has been carefully restored and internally modernised without losing the Moroccan influence is awesome. We stayed in a ground floor apartment so we had a little garden to sit out in. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen although small was more than adequate for our needs. The roof terrace with the amazing views and infinity pool was just fantastic. The staff who checked us in and checked us out were very friendly and engaging. A fantastic relaxed three night stay and for sure we will be back.

We loved our stay there. They were super accommodating to us and our 5 month old baby. Not only did they provide a crib they also had a baby bath for us. On top of that we had a small issue with our room and they went above and beyond to make sure it was fixed.

First of all - the nicest host. Second - amazing location with breathtaking views. Comfortable apartment close to everything and yet private. Beautifully renovated building with all facilities. Very pet friendly. We will be back but next time booking apartment off ground floor and with sea views as apartments on the parking area, and ground floor, have a bit of moisture issue (not a huge issue but will book different next time).

Have stayed here twice now. Loved it so much the first time we went back! Got to enjoy the heated pool this time! Beautiful views from the rooftop! The room was a little musty and it could have been cleaned a little better if i were to be picky. PLEASE NOTE there is another property owned by the same company with just about the same name that’s closer to the port area. I could see how the two could be confused. My kids loved it! There’s a wooden toy set in the room that they love playing with! Very family friendly! Not a lot of street parking but they charge €10 a day to use the lot.
