Google
Fun spot, came here for a tribute concert and the energy was great and surprisingly okay bathrooms that didn’t suck

Jose A Gonzalez

Google
It was a good spot to chill at, friendly staff and good vibes all around

Jorge Figueroa

Google
This is a music venue. When I was 16 and went to a place and they didn't have paper in the bathroom, I was like, that's just part of it. Places are new, the crowd is young. But this place is now 16 years old. Please have paper in your bathrooms.

Google
5-star as the atmosphere on Monday night was incredible even though it wasn't super packed; the DJs were great, people were dancing their buys off and the music was a blend of top 100 hip hop and reggaeton.

Liv’s Travels

Google
Such a vibe! Great dancing, $5 entry and $10 cocktails! Loved the dj and super fun and safe atmosphere for a mix of locals and tourists. DJ mixed reggaeton, afro beats, latin hits, throwbacks and current pop!

KayMonique Mcintyre

Google
It was definitely a vibe💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽 party really starts at 11 pm . Dancehall, Afro beats, urban Latin music! Def a must go for great music

Google
La Respuesta provides a variety of live music and art!! ... salsa, hip hop, bomba, stand up comedy, even a space to enjoy a movie/documentary, djs, local to international musicians.... Plenty of space to dance and enjoy your butt off!! Beer bar available *Check their facebook page for future events and updates: La Respuesta, Puerto Rico. *Parking lot available across the street. *On other side of parking lot there is a food truck park called Lote 23 with great options for food, drinks and coffee

Puerto Rico is Love

Google
5* because it was great on a Monday night. DJ’s were spinning old school hip hop and did a great job. Went there originally to pregame for the district and ended up staying till about 2am because the music was good and lots of dancing. It’s a good sized place with 3 stages and one of them you can hang out on. No complaints on the drinks and energy was great. Uber was $10 from Condado and was about 10 min I’ll def go again. I had a great time, especially for a Monday night.

Yelp
Went on a girls trip to Puerto Rico. The club was a lot of fun. The DJ played a lot of great songs. Unfortunately I lost my really nice watch that night. I have no clue how this happened and looked for it everywhere. The nightclub had a banner of flags from different countries and the Ghana flag was there. My sister took a pic of me underneath it. I enjoyed myself and would definitely go back.

Yelp
What kind of bar doesn't play reggaeton?! Terrible. They charge between $5-10 for cover to get in and the drinks are $20. They get packed only because they are sometimes the only club open on an off day. Would not recommend unless you want to listen to terrible one hit wonders, 90s rap, and Lil Jon

Yelp
We went on a Monday night because supposedly it's the place to go on Mondays. I liked the music but I didn't know a lot of it personally, so I wasn't up to dance. There was a slight crowd but no where close to full and an awkward dance circle for most of the night. It was probably the best option for a Monday but I don't think it was worth the $5 cover to get in. Better off looking for nightlife on the weekends.

Yelp
This place was absolutely amazing! Me and a group of my friends came here and had the time of our lives! The DJ plays a wide range of music and you can't help but dancee to each song that's being played. There's amazing drink specials and on the outside it is a bit incognito. Once you walked inside it's a whole vibe I'd recommend this place to anyone cisiting San Juan looking for a fun, amazing night out!
google avatar

Brianna B.

Yelp
Ok Puerto Rico! I see you;) First off I'm a sucker for Street Art and just the outside alone was a heavy indication of the vibes inside. Thank you DJ for spinning that New ATCQ track. I'm a big hip hop head and the selection on A Monday night was top notch! B-boys and B-girls battling it out on the dance floor! I danced all night. I will be back the next time I'm back in the motherland!

Yelp
We went to a bar who's security told us to check this place out. And I'm so grateful that he did. We enjoyed ourselves very much first night of vacation. They play a huge variety of music genres plus old and new school. And. In the middle of the floor throughout people are break dancing. It is def a spot to hit up in San Juan on Monday night seems to last all night we left about 4am and people were still headed there.

Yelp
We arrived to La Respuesta last Monday since this was the only club everyone was recommending us to go to and pretty much the only option on a Monday night. We knew the area wasn't the best but the entrance was kinda scary as it's located in a narrow street with graffiti covered walls. When we arrived before 11pm, they were still setting up and the place was empty. They kept saying that soon enough the place was gonna get packed. So we paid the $10 cover and went in and sat. The venue is pretty interesting with graffiti, and art pieces on the walls. They had craft beers at the bar for $5. The DJ was in the front stage and playing an old Chinese movie that was projected on the wall, weird. We waited until midnight and the place did start getting filled with tourists and locals but aside from 2 breakdancers in the middle, everyone was just standing and staring. For a whole hour, the music was hard core hip hop, with the same rythm and no variety. I'd say go if you want a place to chill and drink but not if you want to dance.

Yelp
If you're in Puerto Rico on a Monday night and you love to cut a rug stop at thos club. I went this Monday for my birthday and it was off the chain. This club is where all the locals come to party and its live. The bartenders are good they make strong drinks for cheap. The dj plays all kind of music from 90s to Bay Area artist like Sage the Gemini. Tjere were also live music, ladies were doing covers to songs the DJ was playing. Everyone was really upbeat and looking to have a good time. The DJ announced it was my birthday and people were fighting to buy me a drink. The club has some cool art on the walls and the bathroom is so sweet. The environment was really laid back and I felt really comfortable. I will always try to make my vacation land on a Monday so I can party here!

Yelp
Great party on Monday! Good music and crowd! Advice: I left my id and card there. They are closed the next day but one of the employees met me on Wednesday (through Facebook messenger) before I left Puerto Rico! Thanks for the help guys!!!

Yelp
We went here on a Monday for hip hop night. Go around midnight for a night of dancing. The DJ played reggae, hip hop, and r&b. It was a nice mix of locals and tourists there. Everyone was there to have a good time and it was nothing but positive vibes. People were dancing in the middle of circles and showing off their latest dance moves, that was pretty interesting. It was $10 to get in and $15 to cut the line. I would recommend taking a cab there because the parking situation didn't seem like the greatest. The cabs are lined up outside towards the end of the night, so it's really easy to get a cab once you leave.

Yelp
Super ratchet club in the ghetto. If you're into that kind of place, fine, but it was full of men hitting on you with loud noisy music. Definitely would avoid if given the chance again.
google avatar

Karisma D.

Yelp
Music was really loud, but after a few drinks you forget all about it. They played familiar reggae and popular music. I didn't go on a Monday, but I was hoping for salsa and to see people dancing. The drinks were watery. The bathroom art is cute. Don't think I would ever return.

Yelp
Great club defiantly on Monday nights. I'm from Ct came Valentine weekend and had a blast. Drinks are great it look a lil spooky but once our inside the party is great.

Melinda G.

Yelp
Music wasn't bad however if you are going to come here, make sure it is early. We came around 12 waited in line for an hour. Then we went in and got some drinks and waited for an hour at the bar. They took all the white people who looked like they had mommy and daddy money when they came after us. For an hour we watched people come and go while we waited. Bar is crowded 24/7 and not enough bartenders. Probably 100+ people waiting for a drink the whole time and only 3 bartenders. If you like Reggae, this is for you however no trap/rap

Yelp
Bartenders are your best friend...not only because they serve delicious drinks but also because they always know the hot spots. Based on the recommendation of a bartender, my friends and I went here on hip-hop night and we didn't stop dancing once. I think calling it hip-hop night is very limiting since the DJ was awesome and played everything from old-school hip-hop and R&B to reggae, reggaeton, Samba and Afro-Caribbean music. The crowd was lively and the place was full of energy. We left at 4am and the party was still going strong so I have no idea what time this place actually closes. This spot isn't located where tourists usually go so it might look a bit sketchy, but trust me it wasn't dangerous at all. The club is located on a side street that looks almost like an alley (but it's not). We had the number of a taxi on hand just in case but when we left we found a taxi easily. Definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
One of the locals recommended this spot to us on a Monday night - memorial day actually. Apparently it's normally a happening spot on Mondays. We got here a little early for PR standards - 11:30p. The crowd really didn't start rolling in until half past midnight. Definitely wish I had known that. Great music - mostly hip hop. Fun atmosphere and people. A fairly diverse group I think - mostly locals and a few tourists like ourselves. We met only locals though. Decent drinks. A ton of energy! I feel like I had a pretty good taste of PR nightlife here. Also, there was an $8 cover. Best $8 cover I've ever spent! I have to add that I hate paying cover. I hate clubs that charge cover - no matter how much it is - although it doesn't really ever stop me from going somewhere. It's just a thing of mine. Anyway, this place made up for it in cheap drinks, hot men, and great music. Oh yeah and the art exhibits were cool.

Yelp
One of the hotel staff at Condado Plaza Hilton suggested we make our way to La Respuesta on a Monday night, and we had SO much fun! It's a spot for locals, so don't expect to see lots of tourists. The atmosphere in here is crazy - the drinks are cheap, the cover is $5, and there's TONS of dancing. Like standing in a circle and watching people perform kind of dancing. The music is mostly hip-hop, R&B, and reggae. I would absolutely recommend stopping through here on a Monday night with friends.

Yelp
La Respuesta: I'll keep my review short; if you want to dance on a Monday in Condado, San Juan, and you're 21+, head over to La Respuesta! Pros: -Great music (everything from oldies like "Murder She Wrote" to Top 40 hits like "Hot N*gga" were played) -Strong Drinks -Lively crowd (but the crowd was composed of young tourists in their early 20's with a couple of older locals; balanced ratio male to female) -Large venue with a large dance floor Cons: -Long Line -Price. We had to pay $10 to get in the club. The other option was V.I.P. for $15. Keep in mind, the only perks of V.I.P. is that you get to hop the (very) long line. There are only like 3 or 4 seats available in the V.I.P. section so if you're willing to wait 30 minutes to get in, I would recommend doing so. -Bartender Service was sub par. I had to wait 10 minutes to get my drink. And after dancing for like 2 hours I asked a bartender for a cup of water. He told me they don't give out water in cups; instead I had to buy a $2 bottle of water from behind the bar. Cons aside, visit this place!

Yelp
Really nice place. Been there for a Lady Gaga Tribute and it was perfect. Have had really awesome experiences there. The only bad thing is the parking, but otherwise everything is good.
google avatar

KaRhenda M.

Yelp
This was a nice hangout spot if you're looking for an after hours. They close at 4am. Great hip hop and reggaeton music. Sticky floor and ok well drinks.
google avatar

Johnna M.

Yelp
It's a cool spot. They had r&b,hip hop, old school, and reggae. It was a mess. Sloppy drunks and no air. Not too mention plenty reviews and taxi services will tell you there plenty of rides when their closing but HA! NONE!!! Not one. Called three different companies and none would send a person out.oh by the way the neighborhood is pretty sketchy. So hey I wouldn't recommend this to a tourist if they don't already have a ride after.
google avatar

Antoinnette P.

Yelp
I had so much fun! I read the reviews first and the Monday night hip hop old school and today's hip hop plus reggae and R&B was great! The DJ was great, the crowd was great the drinks were good and cheap and everyone looked like they were having a great time! Also ladies no need to wear heels you can wear some flats and a cute outfit I super over dressed but still had a good time!
google avatar

Kiana G.

Yelp
Came here on a Monday as recommended by lots of local folks in PR. It was AWESOME! Drinks were cheap and good, the music was amazing, and plenty of room for dancing! Great time!
google avatar

Tiff G.

Yelp
So Monday night is hip hop night- and when I tell you you will have fun, You will definitely have a blast! ($10 cover totally worth it). My friend and I enjoyed ourselves. Positive vibes, good music and a chill environment, what more can you ask for?! Watching the locals dance and battle each other was such an experience. It got crowded after midnight, but not overwhelming where you had no space to dance. Drinks were also cheap and good. Partying with locals is definitely a must if you're in San Juan!
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
This wasn't my first time experience nightlife in Puerto Rico, but let me say it was the best night ever!!!! If you're a hip-hop head this is the place to go!!! Only down fall I'd say is they didn't have bottle service. I know where to go the next time I come back!!

Osman M.

Yelp
Awesome spot great location, great food , folks here are amazing will definitely come back
google avatar

Kanesha C.

Yelp
All the locals talk about hip hop night ! Went it was good .. only $10 for cover charge
google avatar

Larissa H.

Yelp
Great spot. I celebrated my birthday here on a Monday night. It was the best recommendation we got for the week! A little bit of a line at about 11, reasonable $10 cover (cash only), but the crowd was great, the vibe was great and the music was ON POINT!
google avatar

Robb H.

Yelp
Good time! Very strong drinks for a good price. Best place I've ever been on a Monday night. Pay the extra $5 to skip the line.

Morgan R.

Yelp
I had a blast at La Repuesta! In vacation in PR I had to find a place on Monday for partying. Local people recomanded me this place. Mainly Reggae/Dancehall and Hip Hop (+RnB). ($7 for cover) This place is unavoidable if you want to experiment San Juan night life! Before 12:30am, the place is quite empty. But no worry, by 12:30, the party starts. Even though you are shy, you can enjoy yourself watching all the awesome and very good local dancers. There are a lot of tourists, but it is also a nice place to meet and dance with locals.
google avatar

Kathy R.

Yelp
Nice place to be at on a Monday night. It got crowed around 12. They play hip hop ,land reggae. Crowd is nice but the drinks are somewhat pricey. Long Island ice tea was $10 granted they did make it right. I will return in the future.
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
I came here for hip hop night on a Monday and it was awesome. Excellent recommendation from a dude at P'al Cielo.
google avatar

Luz T.

Yelp
Monday night best party I've been to in a loooong time-NYC- included. Hip-hop: all regions, old salsa, just everything DOPE! you WILL dance and sweat and make friends and have a ball. There's a cover but pay it whatever it is-totally worth it. Trying to get a drink is almost impossible and $$ so get stamped-go down the block to the corner store with the graffiti mural and get your $4 mixed thang on there. and play some pool with the kids
google avatar

Yolandra B.

Yelp
The best place to go on a Monday night! Me and a friend got the recommendation from a waiter in our hotel casino and were definitely not disappointed. We arrived around midnight and paid a $5 cover. Drinks are also $5. The DJ spins hip-hop, reggae and R&B all night. The crowd is very lively often forming circles around breakers dancers for old school hip-hop songs. We left after 3 am and the party was still going on. Easily accessible by cab/taxi going there and headed back. Also, the dress code is casual. Definitely head out to this spot if you have the chance and want to dance!

Jasmine M.

Yelp
So dope! This place has great music, great drinks and great vibes! It was a very modern artsy club that had good crowd control, no problems the whole night. A must visit while out in PR!
google avatar

Kay. K.

Yelp
This shit was a waste of time cause not only its smell like a gym locker the bartenders are sooo rude not only you spend 10mns to 25mns waiting to get a drink even though your literally standing in front of them waving and hollering trying to get their attention and when you finally get it...then it became finding a good spot to dance then the dj was whack playing nothing but oldies so the crowd was mainly just standing around looking like wtf is this guy playing can't you see that the crowd is not moving. ..but heck we mangled a little then went home

Liliam L.

Yelp
We came here right on time . The place was closing what a disappointment. Oh well . It's only 2am

Trenee B.

Yelp
I was told that La Respuesta was the place to go if you wanted to have a good time on a Monday night. They were right, it was a good way to end my bday and bday trip!! If you are in San Juan on a Monday night and you want to hear Hip Hop this is a must. Also the drinks were a good price. If you go before 10, there is no cover.
google avatar

Julie B.

Yelp
Monday night! Mostly locals, a few tourists but amazing music, Mostly hip hop. Could not believe how fun it was on a Monday. Amazing dancers and diverse crowd.

Mara T.

Yelp
Went and stood in line for 40 mins because we heard "rave" reviews about this place. Got to the front just to find out they were going to charge us $10 while the locals were being charged $5, I guess they didn't realize I acually speak Spanish. Needless to say we left. Waste of time and effort. Never again.
google avatar

Shayla L.

Yelp
I had to create a listing for La Respuesta, and I'm really not sure why there wasn't already one, but it definitely deserves it, and deserves a great rating. My friend and I visited San Juan (for the second time) in October 2010, and we went to La Respuesta on the recommendation of a waiter at a restaurant. We got there around midnight on a Monday night, and it was pretty full. It's an art gallery, but I guess it becomes a bit of a bar/dance club certain nights (the website can gives details on that). The night we went, there was DJ Velcro who spins a lot of old school hip-hop, rap, latin, reggae/dancehall and reggaeton stuff. For example, we heard "The Humpty Dance" by Digital Underground, "We No Speak Americano" by Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP, "Blowin' Money Fast (B.M.F.)" by Rick Ross, "Calabria 2007" by Natasja & Enur, and "Oh Nooo" by Red Rat. So, it was a good mix of music. The crowd was cool as hell. Seemed like the artsy-fartsy kids, college students, blue-collar workers, etc. Just a little bit of everyone. I really, really, really liked the vibe of the place. I highly recommend it. =D

Yelp
went last week on a monday night and had an amazing time. if you're gonna drive, arrive a little earlier than 11;30 to find decent street parking. there are a lot of locals that go but a good number of tourists were there as well. the drinks were cheap and hella strong. wowsa. i read the reviews about how difficult it is to receive drinks from the bartender, but i would beg to differ. the music was popping. the DJ played a mix of hip hop, old school rap, some spanish reggaeton (briefly). i remember being on the left side stage dancing to "chicken noodle soup.. chicken noodle soup". hahaha, it was great. sporadically, there would be dance battles that popped up in the middle of the dance floor which were totally fun to watch. puerto ricans know how to have fun! the dress code is pretty casual. i wore ripped jeans w/ tank top w/ birkenstocks (soo fancy, i know) & did not feel out of place at all! this place is a must-go when in san juan! it's located in santurce which was literally like 10 minutes away from where we stayed (isla verde). la respesuta had a cover of $7 that particular night... hmm what else? the bathroom decor was banging. bob marley posters everywhere.. anyway, stop reading my review & just go check it out for yourself! get drunk and dance your butt off like no one's watching.

Krys S.

Yelp
My girlfriends and I went to Puerto Rico and wanted to check out the local spots. We went to La Respuesta on a Monday and definitely had a good time. Most of the locals kept to themselves but a couple of them talked to us and were friendly. La Respuesta played hip-hop and bachata. It was not too packed which was great, we had room to dance. It was casual attire. The only thing I didn't like, it got so hot inside. But I would definitely go back again!

Paula G.

Yelp
Great music!! They have two DJs, old school / hip hop / reggae, pretty awesome! $8 cover, average of $5 drinks and very cool decor. The place is a hole in the wall... Its in the middle of nowhere but don't worry, its a different world once you get in. There is no dress code but most people were wearing urban ware. We attended on a Monday and place started to get crowded around 1am. You must check this place when in PR!
