La Rusticana

We just returned from this gem of a restaurant. A wonderful family-owned place with exceptionally personal service, they make you feel like a VIP. The food is delicious, I've always wanted to try authentic Italian Carbonara (I'm from Canada and it was first time in Sicily/Italy), and even though it wasn't on the menu they were kind enough to make me a plate anyways. It was amazing. My mom and girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed their ravioli, and we were all treated to generous portions of wine. Though we're only in Sicily for 5 days, after our first night here we will certainly be returning before we leave :) thank you!! Couldn't ask for a more authentic experience like you see in the movies

From the warm greetings of the owners to the freshy made pastas, this small family-owned restaurant at the center of Modica has captured me and my group's hearts (and bellies) so much that we had dinner there two nights in a row. Their ravioli is definitely a must try. If you happen to visit the charming city of Modica when you're in Sicily, I highly recommend eating at La Rusticana.

Interesting food in a nice, hidden location. Don't expect to be in and out quickly, though - the food is cooked freshly at the moment. Try it.

This is a clean, well lit place with traditional food that is lovingly prepared and served with smiles. Highly recommended.
