La Sabana Hotel, Suites and Apartments

This hotel is so wonderful. Your surroundings mske you feel special with lovely plants beautiful pool. Art in hallways is lovely Breakfast is just right. Been visiting there for five years now and have never been disappointed. 🩷

I was amazed that Sabana would not even consider returning a portion of the $600 dollar fee that I lost when Costa Rica immigration did not allow me to enter the country.||I understand that the accommodations are rated highly, but the rigidity of management is over the top.||Before booking with a hotel that has a cancellation policy with no exceptions, I would conduct a search for another exceptional hotel in the area that advertises flexible cancellation policies! ||You can be sure that the Sabana experience will not be repeated in the future!||Buyer beware,

I stayed here towards the end of my trip and had a great time. The suites are a little dated but besides that everywhere is clean and the staff are very kind. I was able to get my laundry back within two hours which was great as I was leaving the next day. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and the neighbourhood is quiet in the evenings. You are also very close to the main historical district (13mins in a taxi).

Place is awesome. So peaceful. The staff could not be more accommodating. Perfect place to stay if you have business in San Jose or their for medical/dental work.

My wife and I have stayed at La Sabana Hotel many times for both personal business and weekend getaways. The place is clean, rooms are comfortable, breakfasts are excellent and prices are reasonable. Strong recommendation.

I spent a whole month there in 2024 and it was amazing, the service was incredible, the breakfast was so delicious and the people that works there amazing, its in a great spot you can go to the park to walk and has tons of restaurants nearby.

I love this place for the people and the food that they made. I spent a week there for a medical vacation, and I booked it again for another medical vacation and they basically gave me my money back and said they didn’t want any medical customers anymore.! I think that is very poor service. I think it’s unkind. And the owners need to rethink what better customers would you want that somebody who’s gonna be quiet and has already paid you? Our money is the same as whether we were there to go look at birds or whether we were there to have surgery. this is really disappointing and I feel it’s also illegal. I’m two weeks out from flying there and they just did this to me now due to new ownership. They should’ve at least honored the people who have already made plans and paid them.

Staff is great and very accommodating. Our studio apartment with balcony is clean, contemporary style furniture but humble and kitchen is fully usable. Breakfast is great and highly recommended.
