In Griffith for the Grainstock conference and festival and asked around which restaurant was best to come to for a large group of 20 plus people. La Scala had the nod. From the moment we booked I knew it was the right place- booking was easy and no problems for the large group. On our drive over we were running late and advised by phone and everyone reassured us it was no problems. Despite four of the group arriving very close to close, everyone at La Scala was able to accommodate us, serve some amazing pasta and pizza dishes at great quality and massive serves. Food was top notch, and service was great. They were unable to split the bill, but were able to allow our diners to buy additional drinks at the bar which provided great flexibility for the big group. It was the start of our visit to Griffith and a great welcoming atmosphere. Many thanks to all the staff that made our large group feel so welcome and at home. I will pop back everytime I’m in Griffith. You’ve got a fan! Thanks guys! 🍻

GO ELSEWHERE FOR DINNER. There is plenty of competition in Griffith with good food! They don’t pick up the phone to take any sort of order or bookings, even though it says you can call from 4pm, well before service starts. You can walk into the restaurant but they are too busy chatting to each other to notice. One lady noticed and took my order. She did not want to know why I couldn’t get through on the phone to order???? Meals are so expensive compared to what you get. Main-size portion but I have never paid $33 for a bowl of pasta ever, in all my years, from Darwin to Hobart. My Nonna would have been appalled at the size of the serve. Medium takeaway container 3/4 full, with no remnants of any Gorgonzola. I think they just wafted that beautiful cheese over the top. Gnocchi was soft but that’s the easy part if you are supposed to be a good old Italian restaurant. The kitchen and pizza bar staff are overly reliant on their fancy black gloves to think about what they are touching with them, without re-washing their gloves as they move from area to area. I watched them wash their gloves instead of their hands many times. Take off your gloves if you are leaving your workstation. Wash your hands before you apply fresh gloves. Make sure you ask for a Tax Invoice if you are travelling for business because they only gave me a receipt.

La Scala would be a must go dinning experience in Griffith. Wonderful friendly service, great food and a good selection of local wines at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Went for a dinner while stayed in Griffith for Citrus festival. Food was delicious and great service. The link direction on Trip advisor still takes you to the old location in city. So we booked a table by phone as it was just five minutes walk from our hotel. When we were at location we found out that the restaurant is out of town, and half an hour walk. I rang and asked to postpone booking time and we were still lucky to get the table.

Amazing service, awesome food and incredible surrounding. The person who served us was very kind and was patient and helpful when we weren’t sure what to order. I highly recommend coming here, and would totally come here multiple times! 😊 my children wrote this 😊❤️

Price far too high for the quality of the products and the quality of the dishes on offer. Sitting at a table where we were cold. The service was so unprofessional that our waitress decided to stop looking after us. And if you have the misfortune of returning a full plate because you're not happy with what you've been served, all the cooks will stare at you. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all unless you want to spend your money on a restaurant that isn't worth it.

Great pizzas. I shared a couple of pizzas with a group and we all thought they were delicious. The crust was quite crispy and is not heavy on the carbohydrate. Most of the pizzas had quite a generous amount of toppings on them. The marinara pizza was quite sparce with the toppings and didn't deserve to get a feature photo on my review. I would recommend the tiramisu for dessert. It is quite a generous size but not too heavy.
