My wife and I spent four nights at La Selva Lodge. From the time that we were picked up at our hotel in Quito to the time we returned to Quito we couldn't fault the service that we received. All the staff were promptly on time, friendly and professional. The facilities at the Lodge were excellent and the meals were very high quality. The activities were well planned and interesting, with the ecologist guide being very knowledgeable and the local guide very good at finding wildlife and explaining local customs and uses that local inhabitants made of forest plants and animals.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at La Selva Lodge! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The lodge itself is truly 5-star — beautifully designed, comfortable, and perfectly nestled in the heart of the Amazon. A special highlight of our stay was our incredible guide, Edwin Perez, who was exceptionally knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging. Alongside him, our local guide Orlondo brought amazing insight and a deep connection to the forest that added so much to our experience. Together, they made every excursion unforgettable. The food at the lodge was absolutely delicious — every meal was a treat, with fresh, local ingredients and creative presentation. Coctails made by Mario was some of the best we've ever had! And most importantly, the entire staff at the lodge were so kind and helpful. Their warm hospitality made us feel right at home in the middle of the jungle. Thank you to everyone at La Selva for making this such a memorable experience. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

The La Selva Amazon Lodge is an awsome place in the middle of no where. The food is just great and the facility has everything you need. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The knowledge of our Guide Oscar was impressive. He had an answer ready for all of our questions and explained us lots of interessting facts about the Amazon jungle. Miguel found all different species we would have never seen without him and also showed us his local community. The morning we spent there was just awsome. They showed us how they live, cook, hunt and so on. Miguel was always respectful towards the jungle and the nature and showed us the beauty of the nature. He helped me dealing with my anxiety of wild animals like snakes. With his friendly mind he made our days just awsome. The Crew of the Lodge was very friendly at all times and made all the wishes of the guests come true. Sean is a jung but verry great Manager for the Lodge! I would recomend the Lodge to everybody who loves Nature and wants to see the flora, fauna and how the people live along the Napo river. Thank you for this unbelievable Time at la Selva! Zoe & Lukas

Amazing place in the perfect setting. We throughly enjoyed our 4night stay. Very friendly staff and particularly our guide Paul’s knowledge was amazingly impressive. Nicely decorated room with a water view. This place was the highlight of our 3 week holiday in South America.

My husband and I just returned from what I can only describe as a once-in-a-lifetime experience at La Selva Eco Lodge. From the moment we stepped off the boat, we were embraced by the magic of the Amazon and the warmth of the staff. Our guide, a walking encyclopedia of the rainforest, made every trail walk and canoe ride feel like an intimate conversation with nature. We spotted monkeys, colorful birds, and even learned to identify calls and plants we would’ve otherwise missed. One of the biggest surprises was the food. Every single dish—from breakfast to dessert—was plated with such creativity and care, you’d think you were dining at a Michelin-star restaurant in the middle of the jungle. The yoga sessions were a hidden gem. Practicing surrounded by the sounds of the forest, guided by such a talented and intuitive instructor, was deeply grounding. And the spa? A sanctuary within a sanctuary. We left feeling renewed—body, mind, and soul. There’s a spirit to La Selva that’s hard to put into words. It’s not just a place—it’s an experience that stays with you. We’re so grateful to have shared this together, and we’ll be talking about it for the rest of our lives. We’re already recommending it to our closest friends and family.

I cannot begin to say enough good things about our experience at La Selva. They took care of us from start to finish including picking us up from our hotel and helping to get our baggage checked and through security on arrival. The knowledge of both our naturalist guide (Paul) and native guide (Enrique) was astounding. They showed us all the hidden treasures of the Amazon, and each excursion showed us new and different animals and plants. The food was absolutely incredible (like eating in a Michelin Star restaurant!) and the bar was nicely stocked and available at anytime of your choosing. Lastly, their commitment to eco-friendly practices and giving back to the community they are located in was so refreshing and commendable. We only wish we could have stayed longer!!!

I have been here twice. Once 15 years ago as a kid and once more with my wife in 2025. Everything about this place now has been amplified with comfort & style. My wife & I are foodies, I am firm on the belief that this place is killing it with food and presentation. There are a couple of awarded places to eat in Quito that are getting left behind by this Lodge's kitchen. We traveled during rainy season, which seem to be a hamper when reminded by my wife, but rain is life. Trekking through the Amazon Rainforest has an epic ring of adventure to it - that's because it was. My wife would now agree one really gets a 2 for 1 trip during the rainy season at the amazon as the forest scene drastically changes with showers of rain. This lodge is detailed orientated, and I like how they presented all the information we needed to know upon arrival. Complimentary yoga everyday complimented our bodies with much needed blood flow after the daily treks into the forest. We paid for the extra spa services, and I can say there's nothing like getting a deep tissue massage in the tranquility of a rainforest. Service is top tier and we made sure to tip the team behind the magic at this lodge. Most importantly, this lodge supports a nearby community of people who live in the Amazon. I remember visiting this then small community 15 years ago. I was taken aback with how much was developed. A tear ran down my face knowing this lodge really stuck to their initiative of giving back to the community. See for yourselves, this place is a gem I'll miss.
