Our family spent four days over New Years at La Selva and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The travel to the lodge was seamless and the journey itself is quite an experience. We all just loved our rooms, the cocktails, the food and especially our guides who were fun and very knowledgeable. We 100% will be back and would highly recommend!

La Selva was an amazing place and experience. The guides were highly educated and skillful in locating all types of birds, reptiles, animals, and insects along with amazing knowledge of trees, plants, and flowers. The resort is beautiful but fits in perfectly with the Amazon jungle making the experience all the more authentic. The food was amazing and the staff were always present and accommodating. I would recommend La Selva to the closest of friends knowing fully well they would love the experience.

Our stay at La Selva Eco Lodge & Retreat was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The lodge itself is stunning! surrounded by the most beautiful scenery, peaceful, and perfectly integrated with nature. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with every detail thought out. The food was outstanding, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented at every meal. The staff went above and beyond, always friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring about making our stay unforgettable. A very special thanks to Paul, our naturalist guide, who was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and made every walk and canoe trip fascinating. We also want to thank Pájarito, the native guide who accompanied us.. his ability to spot wildlife and share local knowledge was amazing. Together, they made us appreciate the Amazon in a completely new way. Everything was perfect.. the lodge, the food, the staff, the wildlife, and the atmosphere. We highly recommend La Selva to anyone looking for a luxurious, authentic, and inspiring Amazon experience.

The La Selva Amazon Lodge is an awsome place in the middle of no where. The food is just great and the facility has everything you need. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The knowledge of our Guide Oscar was impressive. He had an answer ready for all of our questions and explained us lots of interessting facts about the Amazon jungle. Miguel found all different species we would have never seen without him and also showed us his local community. The morning we spent there was just awsome. They showed us how they live, cook, hunt and so on. Miguel was always respectful towards the jungle and the nature and showed us the beauty of the nature. He helped me dealing with my anxiety of wild animals like snakes. With his friendly mind he made our days just awsome. The Crew of the Lodge was very friendly at all times and made all the wishes of the guests come true. Sean is a jung but verry great Manager for the Lodge! I would recomend the Lodge to everybody who loves Nature and wants to see the flora, fauna and how the people live along the Napo river. Thank you for this unbelievable Time at la Selva! Zoe & Lukas

My wife and I spent four nights at La Selva Lodge. From the time that we were picked up at our hotel in Quito to the time we returned to Quito we couldn't fault the service that we received. All the staff were promptly on time, friendly and professional. The facilities at the Lodge were excellent and the meals were very high quality. The activities were well planned and interesting, with the ecologist guide being very knowledgeable and the local guide very good at finding wildlife and explaining local customs and uses that local inhabitants made of forest plants and animals.

Wow! This place exceeded my expectations. We stayed three nights in April in the family villa (myself, plus my husband and my sister in law). There was more than enough space for all three of us plus our luggage. The staff were incredible. Everyone was so attentive and welcoming. Our natural guide Paul was super knowledgable and our native guide Sixto was also great. Their eye sight is incredible, being able to spot so many animals from distances. The food was delicious and if you have any special dietary needs, they are happy to oblige. I would definitely recommend this lodge!

The sounds, the sights, the comforts, and the guides blew us all away! We were in constant awe of the natural surroundings while also feeling safe and looked after with the best of care. The organization of the journey to and from the lodge, the nature walks and canoe excursions, and meal planning were all executed with the upmost thought. The beds very comfortable and rooms spacious with the most beautiful sounds all around. Paul, our naturalist, was a total joy to witness in his element. He was as excited as our children (ages 9 and 11 years) when seeing mammals, birds, and more even though he’s seen them 1,000s of times before. I would recommend La Selva to anyone wanting to experience the Amazon Rainforest.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at La Selva Lodge! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The lodge itself is truly 5-star — beautifully designed, comfortable, and perfectly nestled in the heart of the Amazon. A special highlight of our stay was our incredible guide, Edwin Perez, who was exceptionally knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging. Alongside him, our local guide Orlondo brought amazing insight and a deep connection to the forest that added so much to our experience. Together, they made every excursion unforgettable. The food at the lodge was absolutely delicious — every meal was a treat, with fresh, local ingredients and creative presentation. Coctails made by Mario was some of the best we've ever had! And most importantly, the entire staff at the lodge were so kind and helpful. Their warm hospitality made us feel right at home in the middle of the jungle. Thank you to everyone at La Selva for making this such a memorable experience. We can’t recommend it highly enough!
