10/10 hospitality. Thank you Donny and George and rest of the staff. Had a baby shower event here with Michael as the event coordinator. Everything went smooth and wonderful. Our guests loved that the foods were delicious. Will be back for more events and dinners / date nights. Drinks are amazing too. The management genuinely cares about your experience.

Great Italian restaurant. Host staff was very polite. We had reservations for 7:30, however we got there at 7:00. It wasn't a problem but we were seated right away. We were asked if we could sit upstairs, which we were fine with. The upstairs was more quiet then the lower level die to an active bar area, which we were happy about. Our waiter was very attentive to our table and the food was extremely delicious! Pasta was cooked to perfection. I had vodka sauce and it was absolutely delicious. My wife had just the right amount of sauce and both dishes were stunning and flavorful. We ordered calamari as an appetizer. The dipping sauce paired well with the calamari and enhanced the flavor. We will be back to enjoy more delicious Italian food.

Food was delicious. We had ravioli, which tasted so good. Also carrot cake with zest was amazing. Above all Evan (out server) was very nice and generous. It was a wonderful experience. We were also celebrating our daughter’s birthday. She was happy after having her favorite gelato at the end.

We came here for our first time - of all nights - for Christmas dinner and WOW! They did NOT disappoint. The food was excellent and the server, Evan, was outstanding and very attentive! We felt really welcomed after we sat down and were greeted by Evan. The eggplant was delicious. Make sure you don’t skip dessert! Save room!! You won’t be disappointed. Thank you, Evan, for the perfect ending to our Christmas evening.

I came here for my wife’s holiday work dinner. Our servers were attentive to us throughout though at times service was a little slow. The ambiance was pleasant; lower lighting & very sociable. It got somewhat loud after a while as there were multiple parties within the restaurant. We got seated upstairs which may have delayed the service at times. I generally felt like the food was bland- the bruschetta appetizer & my pollo Milanese especially. I did have a glass of Malbec which was lovely. I don’t live nearby & I respectfully wouldn’t care to return. If I could give half stars this place would receive 3.5.

The food was excellent. The server was awesome. We made reservations and requested a high top. We got there @445 on a Saturday and the place was relatively less people than I would have guessed. The hostess started to seat us next to one of the only tables occupied in the restaurant… and it was not a a high table. We asked for a high table and she said it was occupied. Then we asked if we could sit away from the only other table of people in the restaurant… We did but that was awkward that would be th seating choice. Reviewing the food and service : impeccable . Not reviewing the hostess bc she is young and learning.

Had a wonderful night at La Sorella. Shout out to Evan who made the evening so special with great service and plentiful treats! The current happy hour menu has brought back some of our all time favorite dishes we have been enjoying for over 20 years. The Pepe's and the Pizza (IYKYK)!! Also-the place is looking great and cozy with a new beautiful bar with a fresh look and comfy chairs. La Sorella is a beloved tradition for us, so happy to go there time and again!🥰 Go forth and enjoy-Evan and Donny will treat you like family!🥂

The food was incredible, but what was even more spectacular was the service and the great vibes from the staff! I will definitely come back! 100% recommend! Perfect for couples the place is very cozy.

Food - great; Service - horrendous. Went for dinner here with my wife. Reservation honored and was seated close to time, no complaints there. Packed and loud, tables really close together. Not ideal, but a busy place maximizing the space. I get it. Food was really good too, so you may be asking why only two stars? Service was horrid. One of the worst I've ever experienced. Had to ask for bread when the table next to us (who was sat later) got it right away. Couldn't even find the server to get another glass of wine. Sat for 15 minutes with an empty glass before they finally came by while the table next to us had the manager stop by two times chatting away with them and their sever came by 6 times. I guess unless you know someone they really don't care about you at all. I wanted to rate it lower, but the food really was good. Recommend to-go if you can unless you know the owner apparently. Never going back as they ruined a great night out.

Walking into Francesca's in Naperville feels like walking into your favorite Italian aunt's house -- the one who kisses you on both cheeks, tells you you're too skinny, and then force‑feeds you enough pasta to put a grown man into a food coma. The place has that warm, bustling, "mangia, mangia!" energy that hits you before you even sit down. The food? Forget about it. The pasta comes out so perfectly al dente you'd swear Nonna herself was in the back threatening the pot with a wooden spoon. And then there's Donny -- the myth, the man with the voice of an angel who definitely sang in church growing up because his mother made him. If Donny ever released an album, half of Naperville would buy it out of loyalty alone. The man could be mid‑Ave Maria and still stop to make sure your table has everything it needs. 6 cannolis outta 5

We booked last minute for Christmas, and sat at the bar at 4 pm. Excellent service, superb food and drinks! I like sitting at the bar here more than the tables (shhh). We had two margaritas (yum), meatballs app, Spinach Ravioli, and a sausage rigatoni. Everything was excellent. And, they offered free bread, and oil for it that was warm. The food tasted very fresh.

Overall (A) It's a great safe bet place for an authentic nicer lunch or dinner. If you are going out with friends or family - you won't go wrong by picking Francesca's in downtown Naperville. Value (A) We paid a bit under $300 for eight individuals including tip tax alcohol appetizers. So around $35 a person. Plan on $40 a person and you will be good. The portion sizes are great and you may have left overs with the pastas Service (A-) Ours was good just not great since we went on a Saturday night and they were busy. Would have been an A but I was not informed of the specials (which I would have ordered) and it took them a while to get us drinks and come by. Overall they were super nice, friendly and food came out in a well paced fashion. They also did a great job with the desserts since we were celebrating 2 birthdays. Honestly if we didn't have people showing up at different times on a busy Saturday night - I'm sure it would have been an A Food (A) Everyone thoroughly enjoyed all the food that they got. We have the bruschetta and calamari for appetizers which I would recommend. The sauce for the calamari is really good. The bruschetta tastes great and the four large pieces are easily shareable. For dinner I got the carpaccio which I am a huge fan of. They do it with avocado. Everyone else got an assortment of pastas and pizzas. It's all great safe bet food. It may not be the best ever but it's really good and you will enjoy your meal. We got some desserts for the birthday treat which was nice of them and those were good also. It was some pastry with ice cream thing. They also have bread service when you arrive which was good If you are looking for a nicer Italian dining experience - try them out. Both Francesca's and Rose Bud do a great job in downtown Naperville and you can't go wrong. Even on a super busy night they kept things moving and the food tasted fresh. Ignore the negative reviews and try them out.

The calamari was delicious, there were huge pieces in there all cooked perfectly. The rigatoni alla vodka was delicious. The sloppy sundae had the smoothest gelato I've ever had. Service was quick, the restaurant was clean and casually-upscale. Very happy about our date night experience!

Has that old "Chicago" feel inside with dark wood and white table cloths. We had various appetizers with the sausage and peppers being a standout. The bread for the table was warm and crusty in the outside and a big chewy on the inside and I could have been happier. I had the bolognese pasta, and the pasta was cooked properly and the sauce was tasty and not overdone. Topping things off, the service was on the mark. Never for want of anything but did not feel like I was hovered over either, Anna took good care of our part of 8.

Review based on dessert service only. Stopped by on a Sunday evening for a post dinner treat. There were a couple of groups - including a large birthday celebration- but we never felt like our service wavered. Our server, Margeaux, was attentive, offered suggestions and was a pleasure to be around. We ordered the sloppy sundae, sticky toffee carrot cake and tiramisu. All of them were delicious and worthy of recommending. However the sticky toffee carrot cake was stellar. It was definitely a sweet dessert due to the caramel topping and cream cheese frosting. The most interesting element was the pairing of sour cream gelato with this cake. The sour cream was not overly off putting and was very well balanced. Both the cream cheese and sour cream offered a nice sour tang that complemented the sweet cake. This dessert alone would warrant a repeat visit to the restaurant. I recognize that the dessert menu does change but when this is on it, it's a must order!

Our team had the absolute BEST experience at La Sorella di Francesca! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food was incredible, and the service was next-level. A huge shoutout to Donny Greco, who went above and beyond to make us feel right at home--like we were dining with family. It's rare to find that kind of genuine hospitality and care these days. If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine with heartfelt service, this is the place. We can't wait to come back!

Food is always excellent here! Portions are generous so we usually split a dish. Great service too! I highly recommend this restaurant!

We couldn't have been more disappointed in our dining experience here tonight. We ordered a few things, the salmon, rigatoni alla vodka and chicken tenders and fries for the kids along with spaghetti and a meatball for them. The salmon with completely dry with essentially guacamole on top of it. The rigatoni pasta was absolutely terrible. Undercooked pasta and the crumbled sausage was COLD and chewy, took two bites and just gave it back. The chicken tenders were worse than someone you'd get from costcos frozen section, so hard that the kids didn't even eat them. The worst part was our server. Came to our table TWICE the entire meal, one time for the drinks and the other to take our order, the rest of the time she was just talking with another table that she apparently knew and paid no mind to anyone else. I can't believe even after a comped pasta, we wasted $65 before tip on this place, never ever again.

The food was amazing and our service impeccable! It was a quiet evening in the restaurant for a Monday night, but by the end of the night the dining room was filled. It was my birthday dinner and I am so glad I chose La Sorella! It's been about 13 years because we moved out of state. When ever you have the chance, and you want a fine dining experience you won't be disappointed if you choose authentic Delish La Sorella in Naperville! Shout out to the AMAZING manager Mr. Grico probably not spelling it correctly but in my opinion he made the evening for us. He also entertains and sings too! Very experienced restauranteaur and if you ask me are lucky to have him! Enjoy!

I love La Sorella Di Francesca. However, what happened to Sinatra? The music tonight was terrible, as was the track lighting that was aimed right at my eyes. Even worse, there is a blinking light coming from the car decoration hanging on the wall. Blinking lights trigger migraines for me - I can't imagine the constant blinking isn't annoying to others. Also, several times now I've asked for Arabiatta sauce and haven't gotten it. I've been served a marinara. Not sure what is going on there - if they don't have it, why is it on the menu?

Round 2 and it was fabulous!! Honestly I love the fettuccine Limone e gamberi!! It wasn't on the menu but the owner ensured us he could have the kitchen make it. He also remembered us from 5 months ago and chatted with us for a bit. Definitely recommend on a week day visit to talk to the owner and enjoy the vibe. Can't wait to come back!

Had lunch here for my wife's birthday. We've done dinner at this location a few times as we live close by. Today the weather was unbelievably perfect and were able to dine outside. Margo took exceptionally good care of us, even taking note of the birthday occasion with a cream puff dessert and candle. I also appreciate the waitstaff boxing up our food for us rather than impersonally handing us a box. I know, kind of stuck up attitude, however, it pushes the service up the scale. Food was fantastic, we loved the smaller lunch menu and the quick service.

I went to this restaurant for a business dinner, it was beyond what I expected. Everything from service, ambience, food, and vibes. It was lovely. We ordered the calamari for appetizers, in addition to the flat bread and mushroom risotto. It was ALL delicious. I got the shrimp Scampi which was so good, and got the profiteroles for dessert. It was a great experience and would definitely go there again!

Came here for a dinner. The ambiance was rustic and historical with Christmas decor around the bar, mirrors, and window. The playlist was also fun and festive! I will say it is a bit pricier Italian food, but I would definitely try if in the area! - Rigatoni Alla Melanzane - fresh tomato taste came through despite all the rigatoni, would have liked to tasted more sauce but the rigatoni was well coated, tasted better with Parmesan topped but was pretty standard pasta overall - Rolli Alla Francesca - in house pasta rolled and stuffed with ricotta and spinach, decadent tasting with cheese being inside and base of sauce, an interesting unique layered pasta - Tiramisu - didn't taste exactly like typical tiramisu, more of a mousse as the ladyfingers were lost and it did come with a layer of chocolate on top but was still very creamy and not overly sweet - Sticky Toffee Carrot cake - most interesting flavor profile, the cake was slightly too sweet but the warmth of it helped and was countered by the cold sour cream gelato on top, came with candied oranges on the side, would recommend this one off the menu! - Sloppy sundae - presentation was beautiful on this one! Huge so recommend getting a small or half portion, comes with vanilla gelato, caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, candied pecans, and whipped cream, most of the sauce you eat off the plate but the candied pecans added a nice crunch! What made the night was when Donny came up to our table and offered us all shots of homemade Limoncello after dinner (happy birthday, Donny!!!) - it tasted just like a lemon drop! Roberto did a great job tending to our table throughout the time we were there. I highly recommend La Sorella if you're in the area!

Beautiful, comfortable and stylish atmosphere. Great service from Steve and the entire staff. We will be back to try more things. The goat cheese appetizer is really special!

Other than being pricey, we loved the food. I had chicken limone while my family had vodka sauce pasta with sausage. The chicken limone had the perfect balance of lemon, garlic, and wine. I've tried making comparable at home but rarely get the ratios just right. Here they blended these beautifully and did not over or under sauce the chicken. I had a chance to taste the vodka sauce and pasta too. It had great flavor. Next time I might get that dish. Our service was great too. The restaurant is a bit cramped. For example, to get to the restroom you will at some point feel you are squeezing between tables.

The service was amazing! Michael was extremely friendly and super accommodating to my friends and I. The music? Bangers. Story of my Life by one direction was playing as they served my food which ultimately contributed to my extremely positive experience. I 1000% recommend this restaurant to EVERYBODY who is craving Italian.

Went to a birthday party yesterday in the private room upstairs. The food (A+ Caesar's salad, sausage and peppers app, pasta bolognese, Vesuvio chicken) was nothing short of spectacular. Bartender John kept everyone's glass or bottle filled. Would have liked them to have valet parking, but there's a City lot in next block. Will definitely be back.

Food is overpriced. Never eat here Christmas Eve. We had a 6:00 reservation and were finally seated at 6:45! NEVER AGAIN!!

I reserved for 16 people to celebrate my daughter's birthday here. Service was great and Donnie took good care of us. We ordered a lot of great food from appetizers to dinners to drinks. I liked the calamari and bruschetta. I had the linguini which included shrimp, clams. I also tried my daughter's salmon. Everyone liked their food. Prices were about $30 per person. It was fun and worth it.

I had lunch at La Sorella in Naperville today with four ladies. It was absolutely delicious. The Chicken dish we chose and the Fish dish were an 11. The staff and Manager were first rate, our every request was met, the different desserts we had were excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant when visiting Naperville. The Manager Danny also sings on occasion upstairs in the bar area, on Oct. 23 he will entertain.

This is a charming restaurant. If it's nice outside, I will absolutely choose eating on the sidewalk. When most of the year is grotesquely cold and grey, as soon as it starts getting warm, we're eating outside. End of story. The outdoor eating area is small, but a really lovely area to eat. The last time I ate inside, it was near the bar and facing the television. That's not the least bit charming. I don't allow the TV to be on in my house during dinner and I definitely don't want one on in a restaurant. I have a guest in town and sidewalk dining on a gorgeous day sounded like a great idea. I was right. They loved this place. It didn't disappoint. The complimentary bread was warm and soft. We were starving so it tasted extra good. Loved the whitefish panino. I asked for grilled vegetables on the side instead of fries. A small up-charge, but it was the right choice. Service was very friendly and timely without being annoying and bothersome.

If you're looking for one of the best Italian restaurants in Naperville, THIS IS IT!!! Went on a date night last week for the first time to La Sorella Di Francesca. We were actually running 25 minutes late and I called the restaurant to let them know. They were SO accommodating and had a table ready for us the second we walked in! The service is absolutely impeccable from the moment you're greeted until you leave. They're efficient, kind, considerate, and the absolute sweetest! Every single staff member had a smile on their face and were always so welcoming and warm! The food is just the best Italian I've had in the area. The bread served is so light and soft yet crispy. Lasagna was a perfect blend of sauce, cheese, and herbs! The lasagna was cooked absolutely perfectly and was the perfect size! The lemon sauce chicken was such a delight! The sauce was tangy yet salty and so well seasoned! The chicken was tender and juicy and just went so well with the sauce and the green beans. LOVED IT! The tiramisu was just the the cherry on top... I will say that I'm not a fan of tiramisu but this one stole my heart!!!! It had a layer of chocolate on top which completely CHANGED THE GAME! It was unbelievable! I'm still thinking about it until this day!!!! I cannot wait to go back and take my friends and family with me! 10/10 experience with food, service, and vibes!! If you have yet to go, GO GO GO!!!!

Held a bridal shower is the small party room On the second floor and it was the perfect size and ambiance for our small gathering of 14 people. The staff was wonderful and attentive-especially Margo, Griffith and Bianca. The event manager Michael was wonderful to work with and kept in contact with me through emails during the planning process. I chose the Primo Lunch Package and everything was delicious. The dessert platter had a nice variety and my daughter enjoyed the matcha cookies. Donnie checked in on us regularly and made us feel at home. It was a great afternoon!

We hosted a business dinner at La Sorella and rented out one of the private rooms upstairs. It was the perfect setting to socialize over cocktails before sitting down for dinner. The process of booking the room was very simple and they even put our company logos on the personalized menu. The food and wine were fantastic. The service was absolutely incredible, they went above and beyond to make it a great experience. They were very accommodating and brought the aps out early because we arrived earlier than anticipated. Donny, the owner was continuously checking in on us as well. Great experience overall!

La Sorella di Francesca-Naperville was the perfect venue for my children's wedding rehearsal dinner. I send my gratitude to the amazing staff who really brought their A game! And the food and location were absolutely spot on. An incredible way to begin a weekend of pure joy!

We had the salmon, cooked to perfection, and the sausage and peppers, which my guests reported was very good. The bread pudding was delicious and the service was fantastic. I arrived in a bad mood (wrote a review about that) and left very happy

Haven't been to a Francesca in a while so decided to try the Naperville location. Love the historic grey stone building. Enjoyed the Bruschetta appetizer with asparagus, pancetta and Marconi almonds. So good with their warm bread. For lunch we had the Francesca smash burger with fontina, roasted cippolini onions and tomato, pancetta and fresh arugula. Had the chicken Caesar salad, and Margo (our server, who was phenomenal) suggested adding peapods and tomatoes. We'll be back for the burger as it's a $12 special on their weekday happy hour.

Italian perfetto... Italian dining done to perfection! Located in a historic brownstone building right in the heart of downtown Naperville, this restaurant is everything you could want in an Italian eatery. Great ambiance, impeccable service, great selection of classic and modern Italian dishes, and reasonable prices. No surprise that La Sorella has been delighting diners for over 30 years!

I was very surprised with my linguini it was very well executed it Al dente I was very delighted to see that the plate it had huge scallops too. The shrimps were grilled and added to the dish. The son order steak he loved it. Medallion skewers. With with onions and Mushrooms The chocolate cake was pretty dry did not care for it I did not Risk eating it I did not want to choke from eating it my son did like it with the ice cream on top. We had a good server. The ambiance was so nice this place is really nice for a nice romantic date Heads up they removed the pizzas from the menu. Bummer be used I loved their margherita pizza We had plenty of warm bread with olive oil and herbs yum The cappuccino was very tasty too

What a class act! A few weeks ago my cousins club had lunch at La Sorella. As often happens in restaurants some days just nothing goes right and apparently we were there on one of them. A call to the manager solicited an immediate response and he invited us to return today and try it again. All I can say is that it was fabulous! The food was extraordinary. Chicken so tender it melted in your mouth, a fish dish to die for, and pasta that tasted like back home in Italy. The service was exceptional, and the manager couldn't have been more gracious. Try it I'm sure you will not be disappointed!!!

I went to La Sorella di Francesca for a retirement party and it was held upstairs. The upstairs part had a lit of space including a bar. We had a few servers and they were very nice and attentive especially when it came to refilling our water and even getting us drinks at the bar. It was family style food off their menu but everything was delicious. One of my favorite item was definitely the calamari and the rigatoni dei sardi. I would definitely recommend this place for a large gathering. I do want to come here and try other items on the menu.

Came here for a last minute dinner and really enjoyed it. Our service was attentive and the menu had a wide range of options. The pasta and wine I ordered was super tasty and the portions were huge! Glad we gave this place a try.

I came in on Saturday with some friends and had the most amazing time. I had been to other Francesca's, but never came to this location! It is by far my favorite!!! Evan was our waiter. He was amazing and Donny the GM went above and beyond!! . We really enjoyed our complementary lemoncellos at the end of the evening, and he actually even came to our table and sing a few bars of my favorite song My Way, can't wait to come back

By far, one of the worst places in downtown Naperville! Don't bother with this restaurant, the food, the ambience and the service was just not worth the trip! I made reservations over the phone the day of with no issues. I was seated by the window and my server never came by to see if I wanted a drink or an appetizer. Once my other party arrived, Bob came by and just tossed the menus at us. Quickly took our order and disappeared, we literally never saw him until check out. Our food was given to us and he never came by to check in on us or see if we needed anything. The food was Luke warm and very terrible... I wish I could give them a ZERO star!

Decided to try this place for the first time, I can honestly say it did NOT disappoint! The food was amazing and the service was very prompt! Bob our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes and wine! Connor was an amazing addition to the team and made sure everything ran smoothly.

Choose because we had t been there for awhile and promised grandkids Italian tonight. Appetizer we ordered was calamari and it was quite tough,while watching grandson try it and barely able to chew caused us to almost throw up in our mouths. Kids ordered the kids order of spaghetti with meatball. 1 ordered with Alfredo sauce and 1 with red sauce. White was consumed totally and red sauce was over sauced and bland. The meatballs were not very appealing as they were very dense. The adult ordered the rigatoni in vodka sauce with sausage and spinach fresh mozzarella. The pasta was cold and had to be sent back, second try was well heated. The dish did not impress, small portions of sausage and spinach. The Chianti was delicious

It's my birthday, and though I wanted Italian, being a Monday, my favorite restaurant was closed! But it forced us to try something new nearby on this rainy August evening. And what a wonderful find- great/delicious/large servings antipasto and entrees! It's a cozy restaurant with a bar and Sinatra music piped in. Service was not only friendly, but welcoming, respectful and timely. Ladies restroom is just a single commode, nothing fancy, yet not bare minimum either. You can have a romantic date here, especially sitting at a little table right inside the front window. Jefferson Street in downtown Naperville is so quaint and lovely to add to the overall experience. We'll be going back for sure.

Food was amazing. We have gone now a couple of times. The only issue is this one waiter. He would ask uncomfortable questions and make us feel awkward being there.

My husband and I were looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and ended up going to the first Speakeasy dinner at La Sorella di Francesca in Naperville. The food was excellent and the two singers were wonderful. The manager learned that it was our anniversary, introduced us to others in the room and had one of the entertainers sing "our song" while we danced. It made the evening very special for us. We'll be back there soon with friends.

Was moved to review again because my experience tonight was fantastic. Great Prosecco, unbelievable unique mushroom appetizer, asparagus and ravioli, and the seafood Francesca. Ate at the bar. Roberto is a rock star. Never go wrong with this place.

If you are in the area (or want to take a drive for great service and fantastic food experience - do yourself a favor and visit this place. Everything is fantastic and even better yet you can make it a perfect evening by strolling around the quaint and hip Downtown Naperville area.

We had reservations on a Saturday night and were seated promptly even though we arrived 10-15 min early. We were seated upstairs. Even though the restaurant was crowded it was not loud and we were able to carry on a conversation. Our waitress and the busboy were both very friendly and helpful. The waitress was very personable and carried on a conversation and was able to tell us about the menu and suggested another dipping sauce for the calamari. Everything was great and we will be back to try more options from the menu.
