La Suite – Hôtel Café & Restaurant

The hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet, which are all important for a good stay. But the hotel is old, especially the bathroom, which wasn't very relaxing. It's fine for a quick business trip, but if you want something more modern or fun, you might be disappointed.

The hotel was booked for us after our at broke down and we had to wait for repair. We were worried when told the name and read a few reviews, but it was late and we were tired so went with it. We were welcomed on arrival and shown our room quickly. The room was nice and clean and the beds a nice size for the 4 of us. After a shower we ate in the restaurant. The owner treated us well and the food was excellent. He said that they had refurbished the hotel a while back, and it changed name. After a good nights sleep we enjoyed the breakfast. Self service but that's how we like it. Recommend to anyone who wants a good hotel in this area.

I went with my girlfriend for Dinner. We didn't feel welcomed from the somelier. Seemed as if a black woman couldn't afford the meal or not welcomed in that restaurant resulting from his greetings (good evening mr & mrs) when he at last turned up to ask if we were ready to order our meals. The meal was terrible : eg ; Cordon bleu looked like breaded cutlet the rest ......

To sum it up: could be worse but could also be much better. The good: staff is trying, bed clean and comfy, room interior updated, light switch by the bed. The bad: mold in the bathroom, no real shower just a hose and tub, towels old and stiff, toilet doesn’t flush properly ,the whole place is kind of dumpy. Just not worth the 149.- I paid. Breakfast is ok but again could be done so much better with a bit more love and care. They do have a kids playing area which is a nice try but again, see above also applies for the play area. The pictures online are misleading because they only show the one nicely renovated wall of the rooms and not the rest. I wouldn’t stay there again unless I really had to.

I arrived to the Hotel La Suite. This was the most unfriendly check in in my life. ||The guy in charge is the barman from the restaurant next door. I said hello multiple times and he didn't talk or looked at me to me because he was cleaning the bar. I thought he was deaf or that someone else was coming. I rang the bell twice to see if someone else was coming. Nothing...||He only came when he finished, not even a good night was said. So rude! ||The rooms they post in the pictures show double rooms, really beautiful and the room assigned was a bed measuring 150x 30 cm. Ridiculously small! ||This is the biggest rip off concerning hotels in my entire life.||Never again!

The hotel is quite old and the bed wasn't very comfortable but it has several advantages: - the friendly staff let me do late check out - the breakfast is quite good (however only cold buffet) - the hotel is conveniently located just near the train station.

Payerne is a small place so expectations must be moderated accordingly, however the lack of air conditioning in the summer is detrimental and the decor is a bit dated. The staff are friendly though and the rooms are clean so in that regard it's fine for a short stay.

La Suite is a very pleasant hotel, my room was very spacious and well-equipped.||||The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. ||||The breakfast was excellent with a great variety of food on offer. ||||The location is also very practical if you're visiting Payerne.
