Lovely location in the Market Square with outside tables under a canopy of trees. Probably the most attractive restaurant in the Square and probably the most expensive. The menu is French, dominated by fish and seafood. My lobster ravioli starter and mussels main were excellent - as was the suggested local wine. Not the cheapest restaurant but worth the money for the quality of the food and the ambiance.

Wow I was blown away on all fronts, from the moment of arrival (friendly staff, speaking 4 different languages ?!, big smiles and quick service, timing our drinks x dish arrival perfectly), to the menu (I can only eat so much but I would have ordered everything) and ambiance. I picked something from the daily menu: not disappointed, all the fish and seafood tasted fresh and so flavorful, presentation was beautifully done and the serving sizes were spot on. Fantastic evening, and the location is beautiful on this central square in the old town.

Nice upscale restaurant. They even have a dedicated fish cook that handles all the shellfish and fish. I had the whelks which were excellent. Also had octopus which was also really good. The place was a little bit more expensive than the other restaurants but was worth it.

Oh my, pictures and words cannot even closely describe what an explosion of taste was yesterday evening, you have to try this place! Everything was perfect, from the staff - super kind, gentle and professional, to the food - simply amazing. We had a bit of a "tasting dinner", sharing more dishes, and we have not been disappointed! We tried "le plaisir de la table du Marché" - a huge, surprisingly tasty selection of raw see fruits; the fish soup, delicious; "le thon rouge facon rossini" - i personally did not want to give the other half to my boyfriend but he sort of forced me; "le poulpe sauté" - you should eat this before the tuna because much more delicate, but still great. We drank Patrimonio and finished with sorbets, try them! Big thanks also to the staff, completely fine with our dog and full of attentions for us! Ah, the check was also a nice surprise, great value for money! Can't recommend enough! P.S. We red the bad reviews of this place... No clue of what these people experienced but could not be further away from the truth!

Situated on a cosy square, this restaurant immediately caught our eye. We had a table under a tree, we were served in an excellent way, the staff is super professional and friendly, and the food is amazing! So fresh, so delicious. Very nice culinary experience!

Thank you for a great meal how it should be. Fish soup, although way too much, was delicious. Kids were served a split Moules Frites which was very nice. Swordfish was very nice and desserts were to die for. Overall, perfect evening in a great spot in Bastia

Yelp
A seafood restaurant that is trying to go the extra mile, but just missing the mark. This place have a focus on seafood but also serve sallads and meat, so even someone not being a seafood lover will have a good selection of food. The place looks very fancy, but no real dress code seems to apply, so don't be scared off! Had the tuna tartar for starter which was very good and presented in a beautiful way. Then the lobster risotto for main and that unfortunately had ever so slightly undercooked rice and a lobster that was a bit dry. The dessert was the biggest disappointment - chocolate mousse that was just thrown into a bowl without any finesse and that tasted just like the kind you make yourself from powder from the supermarket. Most things on the menu (from starter to dessert) will work fine for us with gluten intolerance and following fodmap (IBS diet) as the focus is on seafood. Service was a bit stressed and the flow of things was not on their side. The waiter however recognized this without us even commenting and deducted our aperitif and coffee from the bill. The service we did get was very good though, so I would say that we caught them either on a exceptionally stressful night and/or they we're understaffed. A big plus that they have a guy that comes to your table to show you the food they'll be cooking you when ordering fish or lobster for example. Very nice touch! Over all a nice dinner in a nice restaurant, but I would not join the quire of people speaking of it as one of the best places ever. If you want fresh seafood at a fairly good price this is the place for you though.
