Yelp
It's a nice setting, if a bit loud, but appropriately upscale yet not too formal. To start the meal, I have to say it was disappointing that half the Champagne list was marked off as unavailable and then the first bottle I tried to order was also out of stock. Seems strange for an upscale Michelin-recommended restaurant in Epernay and most of what was available was the large houses, with a typical markup of 2.5-3x retail which is high.
On the good side, food was excellent, we went with a 3 course meal and were able to try most of the options - everything was really good though admittedly we ordered seafood on every course but dessert. True, Epernay isn't near the ocean but the distribution system in France is so good that you'll always get good product. And if you're American I would suggest generally avoiding beef in France - it's fine and all but just not the same and most folks in France will tell you the same.
At any rate, Le Table Kobus is a great option in Epernay and I believe it received a Michelin Bib Gourmand designation which is usually just my style - not overly formal but very good at the finer points of both food and service. Quite well done at La Table Kobus.
