Big Letdown
Our dinner at La Tagliata was a major disappointment, especially after reading so many glowing reviews on Google. My wife had high expectations, but they faded within minutes of sitting down.
The presentation of the food was the first red flag — plates arrived looking unappetizing, almost like something thrown together without care. Unfortunately, the taste didn’t improve the experience. The dishes were bland and unrefined, far from the authentic, flavorful Italian cuisine we expected in Positano.
What surprised us even more was the overwhelming quantity. For just the two of us, they served enough food to feed a small group, as if piling on portions could make up for the lack of quality. Quantity should never replace quality, and in this case, it felt excessive rather than generous.
I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others. Positano has many truly excellent restaurants — sadly, La Tagliata is not one of them. Save your time and money for a dining experience worthy of this incredible town.
