If you want to eat the original local food, you must need to go here!!!! The restaurant was really special. The local dishes were excellent! Marius recommended the best local gluten-free dishes. He suggested a delicious wine and was really friendly. The background music of live local music made everything fantastic

The main dish, beef stew with onions, was hearty and delicious, perfectly matched with baked potatoes. The red wine from Fautor Winery paired beautifully with the meal. The staff were kind and attentive, and the overall experience was relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to taste traditional Moldovan food in a calm and welcoming setting.

Taifas Taifas is a cozy and atmospheric spot offering a real taste of traditional Moldovan hospitality. The interior is rustic and charming — wooden furniture, folk-style decorations, and a warm, “village-house” vibe that makes you feel welcome. Their menu features classic Moldovan dishes and local wine, and the live folk music adds a nice cultural touch. Good for dinner with friends or family, especially if you want to dive into local flavours. Worth a visit if you come to Chișinău.

A great dining experience with fast and friendly service. Since we (4 pax) had not booked, we waited about 7 min for a table. We were offered a small glass of wine and nuts while we waited. Victor was a brilliant server and explained the menu/dishes in English.

Taifas was my first experience with Moldovan food and this review is some ways more about personal preference than the restaurant. I wanted to try the local cuisine and Taifas provides a good opportunity for that with a pleasant location, live music and great service. Our waiter offered helpful suggestions and we ordered our food along with wine and beer. We liked the subtle flavours of the wine and we really liked the beer. Sadly the cuisine is not for us as it is so heavy on meat and sour cream. The travellers meat platter reminded me of authentic Finnish food from the late 80s in good and bad ways. The main dish was our favorite. Taifas is a great restaurant, but the cuisine can be a challenge, so ask for advice from the waiters. We loved the talking parrot inside the restaurant.

Authentic and very tasty food. Very nice restaurant with a warm service as well as a speaking parrot 🦜. Musicians play too.

Authentic Moldovan food. Mainly local families enjoying their meal. Relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, friendly service. A place I would recommend to my friends.
